Portable 3G Router, Model 524803.
This guide presents the basic steps to set up and operate this device. For detailed
instructions and specications, refer to the user manual on the CD enclosed with this
product or at www.intellinet-network.com.

HARDWARE SETUP / CONNECTIONS
Charging the Battery
Before using the router, the battery needs to be charged. Charging the battery takes
about four hours.
1. Remove the battery
compartment cover on
the back of the router,
insert the included
battery, then replace the
cover, sliding it until the latch
snaps securely back in place.
2. Plug the included power adapter into an AC
outlet or an automobile’s auxiliary power outlet,
then connect it to the mini USB port on the router
(DC In). While the router battery is charging, the
PWR/CHG LED lights orange, then turns green when
the router battery is fully charged.
3. On the left side panel, set the On/O switch to On. CAUTION:
Always switch the router o before removing the battery,
and only use the battery and power adapter included with
this router, as other types could be dangerous and damage
the router.

1. Connect your 3G / 3.5G USB modem to the USB port on the top
panel of the router.
2. Connect your computer to the Ethernet port
on the right side panel of the router. NOTE:
It’s recommended that you use a cable
connection through the Ethernet port for the
router’s initial conguration. The PWR/CHG
LED should light green and the Ethernet
LED should be on if the computer or other
network device connected to the router’s Ethernet port is turned on and connected
properly.
NETWORk SETUP
The following steps are for the preliminary network setup of the router using a Web
browser, which will make the router operational and ready for advanced conguration
based on procedures in the user manual. NOTE: Screen images of other Windows
operating systems are similar. Some screen images have been modied to t the
format of this guide.
1. Set your computer to
obtain an IP address from
a wireless router: Click
“Start” (usually located in
the lower-left corner of your
PC desktop), then Control
Panel; double-click Network
Connections, then double-
click Local Area Connection;
and lastly, on the Local Area
Connection Status screen,
click “Properties.

2. When the Local Area
Connection Properties
screen appears, select
“Internet Protocol (TCP/IP),
then click “Properties.
3. Select “Obtain an IP
address automatically” and
“Obtain DNS server address
automatically, then click
“ O K .”
4. Once the IP address setup
is complete, click “Start on
the desktop again, then
click “Run. At the rst DOS
prompt, enter cmd” and
click “OK.

5. When the next prompt screen appears, enter “ipcong, then press <Enter> on your
keyboard. Note the IP address and default gateway.
6. Open the Web browser and enter
the IP address of the router in the
address bar. When the prompt
screen at right appears, enter
“admin (the default entry) in the
User name text eld; and “1234”
(the default entry), in the Password
text eld. Click “OK” to access the
Web management interface of the
router.
7. When the main menu screen of the Web management interface displays, click Quick
Setup” on the left.

8. When the subsequent Time Zone screen displays, select your local time zone from
the drop-down menu and click “Next.
9. When the subsequent Broadband Type screen displays, select “3/3.5G” from among
the Internet connection options, then click “Next.
10. Enter the Internet connection parameters required by your 3G/3.5G service provider,
then click “OK.

11. With the Basic Settings screen displayed, make the selections/entries you prefer,
then click “Next.
12. To protect your wireless network, it’s recommended that the security be enabled.
Select a security type from the drop-down menu, enter the encryption key, then
click “OK.
13. When the prompt appears to restart the system, click Apply. A status message
will display, indicating that the router will be ready for operation in approximately
30 seconds. Once the router is ready for use, connect to any Internet site or open
any Internet application to check that they’re working properly.
NOTE: For detailed instructions about conguring all the useful features and options
available with this Wireless 150N Portable 3G Router, refer to the user manual on the
included CD.
