Loctite 050A is a hot melt dispenser that can be used to apply glue to work pieces. It has a heat up time of 3-5 minutes and an operating temperature of 380ºF / 193ºC. The dispenser can be used with .45” diameter glue sticks. To use the dispenser, simply insert a glue stick into the dispenser and allow it to heat up. Once the dispenser is heated up, move the wire stand to the “rear” position and apply glue to the work pieces with continuous squeezing pressure on the trigger. Release the trigger to stop the glue flow. Apply even pressure to the work pieces for complete bonding.

PLEASE READ ALL THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND
SAVE THIS OWNER’S MANUAL FOR FUTURE USE.
1. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES when operating electric tools. Use of electric
tools can cause severe eye injury. Wear proper safety glasses, goggles, or a face
shield when operating this tool.
2. DO NOT TOUCH heated nozzle of the dispenser or melted glue. Operating
temperature of the nozzle and melted glue is 380°F and will burn skin.
3. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Keep children and visitors out of the reach
of operating dispenser and cord.
4. DO NOT LEAVE the dispenser plugged into an electrical outlet or in a hot condition
when unattended.
5. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN, organized and well lighted. Cluttered work areas
invite injuries. Work environment should be clean, dry and free of any flammable
materials.
6. DO NOT USE the electric dispenser in damp or wet locations. The dispenser is for
use in dry, indoor areas only.
7. DO NOT ABUSE the dispenser’s power cord. Do not pull cord from electrical outlet
or carry the dispenser by its cord.
8. DO NOT LAY the dispenser on its side when it is hot. Always use the wire stand to
keep hot nozzle and dispenser housing away from surfaces.
9. UNPLUG THE DISPENSER after use and let cool before storage. After dispenser
has air cooled to touch, store in dry area.
10. DO NOT EXPOSE dispenser to heat, oil, sharp objects or other abuse.
11. STAY ALERT. Use common sense, do not use the dispenser when you are tired or
under the influence of alcohol or any medication.
12. ONLY USE .45” diameter glue sticks in this dispenser.
13. DO NOT APPLY oil base paint or stain to hot melt glue.

SET UP AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Snap two stands into holes located on front of dispenser housing. Move front stand
forward to “rest” position and stand dispenser on flat work surface. Large wire platform
stand slides into dispenser base.
2. Unwrap power cord and insert cord into handle of dispenser. Plug cord into standard
electrical outlet. Amber indicator light will be illuminated when dispenser is connected to
power source. Operates on standard 120V, 50/60Hz, AC only outlet.
3. Insert high-temperature glue stick into dispenser and allow 3-5 minutes for dispenser
and stick to heat up.
4. After dispenser and stick are heated, move wire stand to “rear” position. Apply glue to
work pieces with continuous squeezing pressure on trigger. Amount of glue released onto
work piece is determined by amount of pressure applied to trigger. Release trigger to stop
glue flow.
5. Apply even pressure to work pieces for complete bonding.
6. Do not attempt to remove unused glue from the dispenser after use. Any unused portion
of the glue stick can remain in the dispenser and be re-heated for use later.

REPLACING THE NOZZLE
Only replace the nozzle while the tool is still warm. Disconnect the tool from the power
supply before proceeding, and always use protective gloves.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
When in use, do not lay the tool on its side. Always use the stands provided.
Do not use excessive force on the trigger. Ensure that the tool has fully warmed up
before using.
If the tool is going to be left idle for 30 minutes or more, the tool should be unplugged.
Inspect and clean the nozzle on a daily basis.
Warranty
Henkel expressly warrants that all products referred to in this Instruction Manual for 916282 Loctite® 050A Hot
Melt Dispenser (hereafter called “Products”) shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Liability
for Henkel shall be limited, at its option, to replacing those Products which are shown to be defective in either
materials or workmanship or to credit the purchaser the amount of the purchase price thereof (plus freight and
insurance charges paid therefor by the user). The purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy for breach of
warranty shall be such replacement or credit.
A claim of defect in materials or workmanship in any Products shall be allowed only when it is submitted in
writing within one month after discovery of the defect or after the time the defect should reasonably have been
discovered and in any event, within (12) months after the delivery of the Products to the purchaser. This
warranty does not apply to perishable items, such as, but not limited to: (o-rings, seals, washers, filters, lights,
etc.). No such claim shall be allowed in respect of products which have been neglected or improperly stored,
transported, handled, installed, connected, operated, used or maintained. In the event of unauthorized
modification of the Products including, where products, parts or attachments for use in connection with the
Products are available from Henkel, the use of products, parts or attachments which are not manufactured by
Henkel, no claim shall be allowed.
No Products shall be returned to Henkel for any reason without prior written approval from Henkel. Products
shall be returned freight prepaid, in accordance with instructions from Henkel.
NO WARRANTY IS EXTENDED TO ANY EQUIPMENT WHICH HAS BEEN ALTERED, MISUSED,
NEGLECTED, OR DAMAGED BY ACCIDENT, OR IF THE SYSTEM WAS USED TO DISPENSE ANY LIQUID
MATERIAL OTHER THAN LOCTITE® PRODUCTS.
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTY CONTAINED IN THIS SECTION, HENKEL MAKES NO
WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE
PRODUCTS.
ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND OTHER
WARRANTIES OF WHATEVER KIND (INCLUDING AGAINST PATENT OR TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT)
ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED BY HENKEL AND WAIVED BY THE PURCHASER.
THIS SECTION SETS FORTH EXCLUSIVELY ALL OF LIABILITY FOR HENKEL TO THE PURCHASER IN
