HOW TO LIGHT YOUR ULTIMATE WOOD
HEATER
Shift the air slide control knob to the RIGHT
hand side, this allows more oxygen in the
firebox and will ensure the fire can start easily.
Scrunch plenty of newspaper pieces and layer
them along the bottom of the firebox.
Use an ample amount of kindling (we
recommend untreated pine it burns hot and
quick!) then lay it criss-crossed on top of the
newspaper.
Next, load up the firebox with split & dried
hardwood.
(We recommend; red gum, ironbark, yellowbox
etc. DO NOT USE wood that is treated or
contains any oil/sap as this will result in
damaging the flue & creating lots of smoke,
this also includes wood with more than 22%
moisture!)
NOTE: logs must always be placed front to
back, see the image for reference.
When the fire is well lit (allow at least 5
minutes) continue to load in more wood until it
is almost at full capacity.
Once this step is completed & the fire has taken
off again, you now can proceed to close the
door properly.

Light the newspaper at several points, once
this is done close the door until it is slightly
ajar. We recommend to not fully close the
door at this point as it helps promote air flow
and prevent smoke while the fire is starting.
30-40 minutes after your fire has become well
established, it is now recommended that you
turn on the fan to a setting of your choice
(alternatively if you prefer a radiant heat, the
fan is not essential).
From this point onwards, if you wish to slow
down the burn you can slide the air control
knob to the left hand position.
