DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

REMOVING THE MEASURING CUP

• Using your thumb, slide the switch downward to release the removable measuring cup from

the main unit.

• Remove the measuring cup with your other hand.

INSERTING THE MEASURING CUP

• Align the removable measuring cup so that the plate is lined up with the locking slot. Press the

cup into place until you hear a click.

• When the removable measuring cup is locked in place, you are ready to measure.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

• Install 2 new AAA (1.5V) batteries (not included).

• Please insert batteries with the correct polarity.

• ON/OFF/ZERO – Powers the device on or oﬀ, and zeroes out the scale for tare function.

• MODE – Toggles between Weight and Volume modes.

• UNIT – Toggles between Imperial units (U.S.) and metric system measurements.

MODE CONVERSION

The Smart Measuring Cup will be in Weighing Mode when it is ﬁrst turned on. Press the MODE

button to switch to Volume Mode to enter these modes: Water, Milk, Oil or Flour. Then press UNIT to

select the unit that you need.

UNIT CONVERSION

The Smart Measuring Cup provides measurements in Imperial (U.S.) and metric system options.

• Weighing Mode: Press UNIT to toggle between Pounds/Ounces and Grams.

• Volume Mode: Press UNIT to toggle between Cups and Milliliters.

HOW TO MEASURE (WEIGHING MODE)

1. Place the main unit on a hard, ﬂat surface.

2. Place the removable measuring cup in the main unit before turning the power on.

3. Press ON/OFF/ZERO to turn the device ON.

4. Wait until “0” is displayed on the LCD screen.

5. Load your food into the measuring cup.

6. The weight of the food will be displayed on the LCD screen.

HOW TO MEASURE (VOLUME MODE)

1. Place the main unit on a hard, ﬂat surface.

2. Place the removable measuring cup in the main unit before turning the power on.

3. Press ON/OFF/ZERO to turn the device ON.

4. Wait until “0” is displayed on the LCD screen.

5. Press the MODE button to select water, milk, oil or ﬂour.

6. Load your food (water, milk, oil or ﬂour) into the measuring cup.

7. The volume of the food will be displayed on the LCD screen.

NOTE: Press the UNIT button to toggle between Cups and Milliliters.

TARE / ZERO FUNCTION

The Smart Measuring Cup lets you weigh multiple loads consecutively without removing loads from

the scale.

1. Place the ﬁrst load into the cup and obtain the weight reading as described above.

2. Press the ON/OFF/ZERO button to reset the LCD to “0.”

3. Add the second load. You will see the weight of the SECOND load only.

4. Repeat as needed for each successive load.

NOTE: If the empty cup does not read “0,” press the ON/OFF/ZERO button to zero out the scale.

AUTO SHUTOFF

To conserve battery power, Smart Measuring Cup will shut oﬀ automatically if the display shows “0”

or the same weight for 30 seconds.

MANUAL SHUTOFF

To turn oﬀ the Smart Measuring Cup, press the ON/OFF/ZERO button for 3 seconds.

WARNING INDICATORS

LO = Low batteries. Replace with 2 new AAA batteries.

ERR = Device is overloaded. Remove item to avoid damage.

NOTE: The maximum weight capacity is 50 oz. (3.1 lbs.). The maximum volume capacity is 6.25

cups (1500ml).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Remove and empty the container before cleaning.

• Clean the device with a soft, slightly damp (not wet) cloth.

• Do not submerge the device in water.

• Always use this device on a hard, ﬂat surface. Do not use on carpet.

• The Smart Measuring Cup is a delicate device. Handle with care.

• Store the Smart Measuring Cup in a cool, dry place.

• If the device does not turn on, check the batteries.

• The Smart Measuring Cup is for household use only. It is not recommended for commercial

applications.

• All plastic parts should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar and

strongly ﬂavored/colored foods.

• Avoid contact with acids and citrus juices.
