RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
Safe operation of this accessory requires that you read and
understand this operatorâs manual, the operatorâs manual for
the miter saw, and all labels affixed to the tool.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
ïź KNOW YOUR ACCESSORY. Read the operatorâs manual
carefully. Learn the productâs applications and limitations
as well as the specific potential hazards related to this
product.
ïź KEEP THE WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered work areas
and work benches invite accidents. DO NOT leave tools
or pieces of wood on the saw while operating.
ïź ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH SIDE SHIELDS
MARKED TO COMPLY WITH ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes,
resulting in possible serious injury.
ïź DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT WITH OTHER
EQUIPMENT or for other purposes.
ïź ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE SAW FROM THE POWER
SUPPLY BEFORE ASSEMBLING THIS KIT. Make sure
the switch is off when reconnecting the saw to a power
supply.
ïź BEFORE MAKING A CUT, BE SURE ALL
ADJUSTMENTS ARE SECURE.
ïź ALWAYS GET HELP IF YOU NEED TO LIFT THE
WORKSTAND. When lifting, hold the workstand close
to your body. Bend your knees so you can lift with your
legs, not your back.
ïź WHEN HAULING THE WORKSTAND IN A VEHICLE,
securely tie it down to prevent movement and possible
damage.
ïź NEVER put the workstand where operators or
bystanders are forced to stand with any part of their
body inline with the path of the saw blade.
ïźîNEVER STAND ON WORKSTAND. Serious injury could
occur if the stand tips or you accidentally hit the cutting
tool. Do not store any items above or near the stand
where anyone might climb on the stand to reach them.
ïźîMAXIMUM WEIGHT OF SAW MUST NOT EXCEED
100 POUNDS.
ïźîMAXIMUM WEIGHT OF SAW AND WORKPIECE

positioned in-line with the material supports.

ROCK, SLIDE OR MOVE PRIOR TO USE.

This stand is designed for use with all RIDGID miter saws with a blade diameter not larger than 12 in. For other
brands, use a slide miter saw with a blade diameter not larger than 10 in. or a non-sliding miter saw with a blade
diameter not larger than 12 in.

ASSEMBLY
UNPACKING
This product requires some assembly.
ïź Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the
box. Make sure that all items listed in the loose parts list
are included.
WARNING:
Do not use this product if any parts on the loose
parts list are already assembled to your product
when you unpack it. Parts on this list are not
assembled to the product by the manufacturer and
require customer installation. Use of a product that
may have been improperly assembled could result
in serious personal injury.
ïź Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or
damage occurred during shipping.
ïź Do not discard the packing material until you have care-
fully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.
ïź If any parts are damaged or missing, please call

ATTACHING THE HANDLE
See Figure 3.
CAUTION:
Be careful to avoid pinching your fingers or hands
when installing the handle onto the frame.
Attach the handle on the end of the frame opposite the wheels.

lay the standâs top surface down on the floor with the
folded legs facing up.

Hold the handle on the outside of the frame as shown

ïźîTighten the screw using a Phillips head screwdriver.

ïźî Press the leg lock lever to release each leg then unfold
the legs on the stand until the locking pins click in place.
Set the stand in an upright working position.
NOTE: Check to ensure the stand is stable and all the
legs have the locking pins engaged.
INSTALLING THE WHEELS
See Figure 4-5.
Wheels are provided to assist in moving the stand to the
desired location.

Install the end of an axle through one bracket as shown.
NOTE: The outside end of the axle can be identified by
the O-ring that supports the large flat washer. It inserts
into the wheel.

Assemble a flat washer (M8) and nut (M8) to inside end
of axle to secure axle to bracket.
ïźî
Slide a large flat washer (M8), a wheel, and a flat washer
onto the outside end of axle.
ïźî
Install and tighten nut to retain wheel on the axle.
ïźî
Repeat for other axle and wheel assembly.
NOTE: Make sure the wheels turn freely after installation.
INSTALLING MATERIAL SUPPORTS
See Figure 6.
The material supports help balance and support the
workpiece during cutting operations. The material supports
for this stand come preassembled.
To install the material supports:
ïźîMount the material support with extra stand legs to the
wheel end of the stand
ïźîSlide the material support into the mount at the end of
the extension arm.
ïźîTighten height adjustment knob to secure the material
support.

for installation.
ATTACHING SAW MOUNTING BRACKETS
See Figures 7 - 8.
Always position the saw to achieve maximum balance and
stability. All four corners of the saw must be bolted to the
mounting brackets before use. Make sure bolts do not ex-
tend above the table of the miter saw.
If the saw has holes that line up with the slots in the saw
mounting brackets:
ïźîUnplug the saw and lock the saw arm in the down
position.
ïźîPlace two 2x4s or similar type of stable support under-
neath the saw to raise the saw and allow access to the
sawâs mounting feet.
ïźîPlace a saw mounting bracket underneath the raised side
of the saw with the locking lever facing the front, aligning
the mounting plates on the bracket with the mounting
holes of the miter saw.
ïźîFeed bolts, lock washers, and flat washer through the saw
mounting hole into the mounting plate on the bracket.
ïźîFinger tighten the two bolts to the mounting plate in the
bracket to hold in position. Use longer bolts if necessary.
ïźîRepeat for the other bracket.
ïźîMake sure both brackets are parallel to each other.
ïźîTighten bolts to lock mounting plates in place.
NOTE: Ensure mounting plates are locked in place when
bolts are tightened.
If the saw has holes that do not line up with the slots in
the saw mounting brackets:
ïźîUnplug the saw and lock saw arm in the down position.
ïźîMount the saw to a mounting surface at least 1/2 in.
thick using 5/16 hex head screws, washers, and nuts
(not included).
ïźîDrill holes in the mounting surface to match the slots in
the saw mounting brackets.
ïźîProceed with installation as shown in figure 8.
NOTE: Ensure that the mounting surface contacts all four
mounting plates.
MOUNTING THE MITER SAW TO THE STAND
See Figures 9 - 10.
ïźîRelease the lock levers before attempting to mount the
saw to the stand.
ïźîïźLiftîtheîsawîandîbracketîassembly,îallowingîtheîassemblyî
to tilt slightly toward your body.
ïźîWhile still tilted toward you, hook the front edge of the
bracket assembly onto the front rail of the stand.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, make sure the
curved front edge of the mounting brackets are
securely seated over the front rail before seating
the other end of the brackets. Failure to do so could
cause you to lose control of the saw mounting as-
sembly, which could cause serious personal injury.
ïźîLower the bracket assembly to allow the rear edge of the
bracket to seat fully over the rear rail.

ïźîLock the brackets in position by lowering the locking levers.
NOTE: Continue to hold the mounting bracket assembly
with one hand until both levers are securely locked.
ïźîCheck position and adjust, if necessary, to make sure
the weight of the saw is evenly balanced over the rails as
shown in figure 10.
ïźîEnsure the saw is fully seated and locked in position. En-
sure the four bolts holding the saw to the saw mounting
brackets are securely tightened and that the mounting
brackets are parellel to each other.
To remove saw from stand:
ïźîRaise the locking levers to unlock the saw and mounting
bracket assembly.
ïźïźîLift up and away from the rear rail of the stand to disengage.
ïźîïźWithîtheîassemblyîtiltedîslightlyîtowardîyou,îliftîtheîfrontî
part of the assembly to disengage from the front rail of the
stand.

ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
The mounting brackets are designed to fit snugly over the top rails with locking levers in the open position. With
the locking levers in the lowered (locked) position, you should not be able to slide the mounting bracket assembly
along the top rails or remove the bracket assembly from the top rails. If the mounting brackets will not fit over top
rails, or if the brackets can be removed from the top rails when the levers are locked, remove bracket assembly
immediately and adjust bracket adjustment screw as described in the Maintenance section of this manual. Failure
to heed this warning may result in serious personal injury.
OPERATION
WARNING:
Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you care-
less. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is
sufficient to inflict serious injury.

eyes resulting in possible serious injury.
WARNING:

recommended by the manufacturer of this tool.
The use of attachments or accessories not recom-
mended can result in serious personal injury.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this tool for the following purpose:
ïźîTo provide a stable, secure work surface for a miter saw
USING THE EXTENSION RAILS
See Figure 11.
Use the extension rails when working with larger workpieces.
To extend the rails:
ïźîRelease the extension lock lever.
ïźîExtend the rail to the desired position.
ïźîPush down on the extension lever to lock it.
NOTE: Use a 4mm hex key (not included) to tighten
the screw in the extension lock if more locking force is
needed.
USING THE MATERIAL SUPPORTS
See Figure 12.
Rest the workpiece on top of the material roller to support
the workpiece during cutting operations.
Raise the material support and place the workpiece against
the work stop whenever you need to make repetitive cuts
of the same length. To avoid a greater risk of binding or
pinching, do not use both work stops at the same time. The
extension rail should be adjusted to the desired length stop.
To adjust the material support:
ïźîLoosen the height adjustment knob.

OPERATION
ïźîAdjust the material support to the desired position.
ïźîTighten the height adjustment knob.
To adjust work stop:
ïźîLoosen the height adjustment knob.
ïźîRaise or lower the work stop to the desired position.
ïźîTighten the height adjustment knob.
NOTE: Make certain the top of the roller or edge of the
work stop is aligned with the top of the miter saw table
to keep the work piece level.
CLOSING THE STAND
ïźîRemove the miter saw prior to closing the stand.
ïźîRetract the extension rails.
ïźîPlace the stand in the vertical position (wheels contacting
the ground).
ïźîPress down the leg lock levers to fold each leg.
ïźîWhen all legs are folded, grasp the handle and tilt the unit
towards you to transport.
TRANSPORTING THE STAND WITH A SAW:
ïźîFirst close the stand as described above.
ïźîAfter closing the stand, grasp the handle and tilt the stand
away from you.
ïźîSlowly lower the stand until the handle is resting on the
ground.
ïźîReinstall the miter saw in this position.
ïźîWith miter saw installed and brackets locked, grasp the
handle and raise from the ground. Then roll the stand to
the desired location.
ïźîRemove the miter saw from the stand before unfolding
the legs and putting in a standing position at your desired
location.
ïźîReinstall the miter saw once the stand has been unfolded,
stood up, and all legs are locked in place.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard
or cause product damage.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your
eyes resulting in possible serious injury.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gaso-
line, petroleum-based products, penetrat-
ing oils, etc., come in contact with plastic
parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal

BRACKET ADJUSTMENT SCREW
See Figure 13.
The mounting brackets are designed to fit snugly over the
top rails with locking levers in the open position. With the
locking levers in the lowered (locked) position, you should
not be able to slide the mounting bracket assembly along
the top rails or remove the bracket assembly from the top
rails. If the mounting brackets will not fit over top rails, or
if the brackets can be removed from the top rails when the
levers are locked, remove bracket assembly immediately
and adjust bracket adjustment screw. Failure to heed this
warning may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE: The saw should be removed from the mounting

brackets before attempting to tighten or loosen the bracket
adjustment screws.
To adjust:
ïźîUse a wrench to slightly loosen the nut.
ïźîTurn the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Rotate clock-
wise if the bracket assembly needs to be tightened or
counterclockwise if the assembly needs to be loosened.
ïźîInstall the bracket on the miter stand rails and lower the
locking lever to check the adjustment.
ïź When the correct adjustment is achieved, wrench tighten
the nut while holding the screw in place to secure.
ïźîRepeat with the second mounting bracket if necessary.

INSTALLATION DES SUPPORTS DE PIĂCE

Les supports de matériau aident à équilibrer et à soutenir
la piÚce pendant les opérations de coupe. Les supports de
matériau pour ce support sont préassemblés.
Pour installer les supports de matériaux :
ïź Monter le support de matĂ©riau avec des pattes de support
supplĂ©mentaires Ă lâextrĂ©mitĂ© du support oĂč se trouvent les
roues.
ïź Faire glisser le support de matĂ©riau dans le support Ă
lâextrĂ©mitĂ© du bras dâextension.
INSTALLATION DES SUPPORTS DE MONTAGE
DE LA SCIE
Voir les figures 7 et 8.
Toujours positionner la scie de maniĂšre Ă obtenir un maximum
dâĂ©quilibre et de stabilitĂ©. Avant dâutiliser la scie, les quatre
coins de sa base doivent ĂȘtre boulonnĂ©s sur les supports de
montage. Sâassurer que les boulons ne dĂ©passent pas de la
table de la scie.
Si la scie comporte des trous qui sâalignent sur les fentes
des supports de montage :
ïźîDĂ©branchez la scie et verrouillez le bras de scie en posi-
tion abaissée.
ïźîPlacez deux 2x4 ou un objet similaire au-dessous de la
scie pour la soulever afin de pouvoir accéder à ces pieds
de montage.
ïźîPlacer un crochet de montage de la scie sous le cĂŽtĂ© su-
rélevé de la scie avec le levier de verrouillage orienté vers
lâavant, en alignant les plaques de montage sur le crochet
avec les trous de montage de la scie Ă onglets.

ïź Faire glisser les boulons, les rondelles de blocage et la
rondelle plate dans le trou de montage de la scie dans la
plaque de montage du cro-chet.
ïź Serrer les deux boulons Ă la plaque de montage du cro-chet
pour les maintenir en place. Utiliser des boulons plus longs
si nécessaire.
ïź RĂ©pĂ©ter lâopĂ©ration pour lâautre crochet.
ïź Sâassurer que les deux cro-chets sont parallĂšles lâun Ă
lâautre.
ïź Serrer les boulons pour ver-rouiller les plaques de mon-tage
en place.
NOTE : Sâassurer que les plaques de montage sont ver-
rouillées en place lorsque les boulons sont serrés.
Si la scie comporte des trous qui ne sâalignent pas sur les
fentes des supports de montage :
ïźîDĂ©brancher la scie et verrouiller le bras en position abaissĂ©e.
ïźîMonter la scie sur une planche dâau moins 13 mm
(1/2 po) dâĂ©paisseur au moyen de quatre vis hex. 5/16 po,
rondelles et Ă©crous Ă six pans (non inclus).
ïźîProcĂ©der Ă lâinstallation comme montrĂ© dans la figure 8.
NOTE : Sâassurer que la surface de montage est en contact
avec les quatre plaques de montage.

Pour Ă©viter des blessures graves, sâassurer que le
bord incurvé des supports de montage est bien
engagĂ© sur le rail avant, avant dâengager lâautre
extrémité des supports. Ne pas prendre cette
précaution pourrait causer la perte de contrÎle de la
scie, entraĂźnant des blessures graves.
ïźîAbaisser les leviers des supports pour les verrouiller en
place.

Les supports de montage sont conçus pour un ajustement serré sur les rails du stand. Lorsque les leviers de
verrouillage sont abaissĂ©s (position verrouillĂ©e) il ne devrait pas ĂȘtre possible de sĂ©parer la scie et le support des
rails. Si les supports de montage ne peuvent pas ĂȘtre engagĂ©s sur les rails ou sâils peuvent en ĂȘtre retirĂ©s lorsque

ïPour retirer la scie du stand :
ïźîRelever les leviers de verrouillage pour libĂ©rer lâensemble
scie et supports de montage.
ïźïźîSoulever vers le haut et en sâĂ©loignant du rail arriĂšre du
support pour le désengager.
ïźîïźLâensembleîĂ©tantîtoujoursîinclinĂ©îversîsoi,îsouleverîlâavantî
pour le désengager du rail avant du stand.

NOTE : Utiliser une clé hexagonale de 4 mm (non comprise)
pour serrer la vis du verrou dâextension si une force de ver-
rouillage plus importante est nécessaire.
UTILISATION DES BUTĂES
Voir la figure 12.
DĂ©posez la piĂšce Ă travailler en haut du rouleau de travail
pour supporter la piĂšce pendant la coupe.
Soulevez le support de matériau et placez la piÚce contre
la butée de travail chaque fois que vous devez effectuer
des coupes rĂ©pĂ©titives de la mĂȘme longueur. Pour Ă©viter un
risque accru de grippage ou de pincement, nâutilisez pas les
deux arrĂȘts de travail en mĂȘme temps. Le rail dâextension
doit ĂȘtre ajustĂ© Ă la butĂ©e de longueur souhaitĂ©e.
Pour régler le support de travail :
ïźîDesserrer le bouton de rĂ©glage de la hauteur..
ïźîMettez le support de travail en position dĂ©sirĂ©e..
ïźîSerrer le bouton de rĂ©glage de la hauteur..
Pour relever les butées :
ïźîDesserrer le bouton de rĂ©glage de la hauteur.
ïź Relever ou abaisser la butĂ©e de travail Ă la position sou-
haitée.
ïź Serrer le bouton de rĂ©glage de la hauteur.
NOTE : Sâassurer que le haut du rouleau ou le bord de la
butée de travail est aligné avec le haut de la table de scie
Ă onglets pour maintenir la piĂšce Ă travailler de niveau.
FERMETURE DU SUP-PORT
ïź Retirer la scie Ă onglets avant de fermer le support.
ïź RĂ©tracter les rails dâextension.
ïź Placer le support en position verticale (roues en contact
avec le sol).
ïź Appuyer sur les leviers de verrouillage des pattes pour
replier chacune dâentre elles.
ïź Lorsque toutes les pattes sont repliĂ©es, saisir la poignĂ©e
et incliner lâappareil vers vous pour le transporter.
TRANSPORT DU SUP-PORT AVEC UNE SCIE :
ïź Fermer dâabord le support comme dĂ©crit ci-dessus.
ïź AprĂšs avoir fermĂ© le support, saisir la poignĂ©e et incliner
le support loin de vous.
ïź Abaisser lentement le support jusquâĂ ce que la poignĂ©e
repose sur le sol.
ïź RĂ©installer la scie Ă onglets dans cette position.
ïź Une fois la scie Ă onglets installĂ©e et les supports verrouil-
lés, saisir la poignée et la soulever du sol. Faire ensuite
rouler le support Ă lâemplacement souhaitĂ©.
ïź Retirer la scie Ă onglets du support avant de dĂ©plier les
pattes et de la mettre debout Ă lâendroit souhaitĂ©.
ïź RĂ©installer la scie Ă onglets une fois que le support a Ă©tĂ©
déplié, levé et que toutes les pattes sont verrouil-lées en
place.
ENTRETIEN
AVERTISSEMENT :
Utiliser exclusivement des piĂšces dâorigine pour les
rĂ©parations. Lâusage de toute autre piĂšce pourrait
créer une situation dangereuse ou endommager
lâoutil.
AVERTISSEMENT :
Toujours porter une protection oculaire certifiée
conforme à la norme ANSI Z87.1. Si cette précau-
tion nâest pas prise, des objets peuvent ĂȘtre pro-
jetés dans les yeux et causer des lésions graves.
ENTRETIEN GĂNĂRAL
Ăviter dâutiliser des solvants pour le nettoyage des
piĂšces en plastique. La plupart des matiĂšres plastiques
peuvent ĂȘtre endommagĂ©es par divers types de solvants
du commerce. Utiliser un chiffon propre pour Ă©liminer la
saletĂ©, la poussiĂšre, lâhuile, la graisse, etc.
AVERTISSEMENT :
Ne jamais laisser de liquides tels que le fluide de
freins, lâessence, les produits Ă base de pĂ©trole,
les huiles pénétrantes, etc., entrer en contact avec
les piĂšces en plastique. Les produits chimiques
peuvent endommager, affaiblir ou détruire le
plastique, ce qui peut entraĂźner des blessures
graves.
VIS DE RĂGLAGE DU SUPPORT
Voir la figure 13.
Les supports de montage sont conçus pour un ajustement
serré sur les rails du stand. Lorsque les leviers de verrouillage
sont abaissĂ©s (position verrouillĂ©e) il ne devrait pas ĂȘtre pos-
sible de séparer la scie et le support des rails. Si la scie et son
support peuvent ĂȘtre retirĂ©s des rails lorsque les leviers sont
abaissĂ©s, la vis de serrage du support doit ĂȘtre serrĂ©e. Si la
scie et son support ne peuvent ĂȘtre engagĂ©s sur les rails, la vis
de serrage du support doit ĂȘtre desserrĂ©e.
NOTE : La scie doit ĂȘtre retirĂ©e des supports de montage avant
dâessayer de serrer ou desserrer la vis de rĂ©glage du support.
