balanceat all times. Do notusa while standing

DISCONNECT TOOLS. When not in use, before
servicing,or when changingor adjustingsanding
belt,attachments, blades, bits,cutters,etc., all
toolsshouldbe disconnectedfrom power supply.
REMOVE ADJUSTING KEYS AND
WRENCHES. Form habitofcheckingto see that
keys and adjustingwrenches are removed from
tool beforeturning it on.
AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING. Don'tcaw
plugged-intool with finger on switch,Be sure
switchis offwhen pluggingin.
MAKE SURE YOUR EXTENSION CORD IS IN
GOOD CONDITION, When usingan extension
cord,be sureto use one heavyenoughto carry
the currentyour productwilldraw.An undersized
cord willcause a drop in linevoltage resulting in
lossof powerand overheating.Awire gage size
(A.W.G.) ofat least 16 is recommended foran

extension cord 100 feet or lessin length. A cord
exceeding 100 feet is notrecommended. If in
doubt, usethe next heavier gage. The smaller
the gage number,the heavierthe cord.
OUTDOOR USE EXTENSION CORDS. When
tool isused outdoors,use onlyextensioncords
suitablefor useoutdoors.Outdoor approved
cordsare markedwith the suffixW-A, for ex-
ample - SJTW-A or SJOW-A.
NEVER USE THIS OR ANY POWER SANDER
FOR WET SANDING. Failureto complycan

KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM SANDING AREA.
NEVER USE IN AN EXPLOSIVE ATMO-

INSPECT TOOL CORDS PERIODICALLY and if
damaged, have repairedat your nearest Sears
Repair Canter, Stay constantlyaware ofcord
locationand keep it well away from the sanding
area.

KEEP HANDLES DRY, CLEAN, AND FREE
FROM OIL AND GREASE. Always usea clean
clothwhen cleaning.Never use brakefluids,
gasoline, petroleum-based products,or any

STAYALERTAND EXERCISE CONTROL.
Watch whet you are doingand usecommon
sense. Do not operatetoolwhen you are tired.
Do not rush.
CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Beforefurther use
ofthe tool,a guardor otherpartthat is damaged
shouldbecarefully checked todetermine that it
willoperate properlyand perform itsintended
function,Checkfor alignmentof moving parts,
bindingof movingparts, breakageof parts,
mounting and any otherconditionsthat may
affect itsoperation.Aguard or otherpert that is
damaged shouldbe properlyrepairedor re-
placedby an authorizedservice center,
