npower Home Energy Monitor guide (Booklet)
There are two ways to power the display. The DC adaptor (recommended)
or batteries.
(with mains adaptor) (with 3 x AA batteries)
Push and hold the Link button located on the back of the display unit (diagram 1)
for 2 seconds. The Transmission signal on the display will flash for one minute.
During the flashing period, press the button located on the transmitter
to complete synchronization.
When the link is completed you will see the transmission signal symbol
become solid.
If the link is not completed you will see dashes on the display. Repeat Step 5,
or refer to USER GUIDE
Mount transmitter near meter with Velcro pads provided. The transmitter has a
power supply already inside the unit.

Push open the cap to release the sensor. Place sensor around the feed cable
and push shut. You will hear it “Click” when closed securely.
LOCATE LIVE FEED WIRE ON ELECTRICITY METER
SET UP THE TRANSMITTER
SINGLE TARIFF METER: Identify the feed cable (cable 4) on your electricity
meter. This should be the last cable on the right if looking face onto the meter
(diagram 1).
DUAL TARIFF METER: Dual tariff meters (like Economy 7) will often have an
auxillary cable running between Cable 3 and Cable 4 (diagram 2). The feed
cable (Cable 4) is the live cable exiting from the meter. Clip the sensor to
Cable 4 (Cable 4 will always be on the right hand side of the meter).

The HISTORY mode allows comparison of the information
stored on the display from previous weeks and months.
The DAILY AVERAGE information and the GRAPH are always visible
regardless of if the monitor is in INSTANT or AVERAGED mode. Press
the button to change the DAILY AVERAGE units from kWh
to Cost.

Use the and to buttons to set the numbers. Press the
button located at the top of the display to move to the next setting.
