Is Different 4
Why VacuWare Is Different
Welcome to the VacuWare FreshRevolution! VacuWare is a unique vacuum sealing product line designed with
YOU in mind. The design was born out of frustration from food spoiling too quickly. The distinctive “green
button” port and the tell-tale “whoosh” after releasing a seal distinguish VacuWare from other sealing products.
PowerMarinating

Your VacuWare® FreshContainers
TM
Forget about all of the plastic containers you have in your kitchen right now… this is the last set of food
containers you will ever need! Attractive and functional in ways you probably never thought possible,
your FreshContainers will meet and exceed all of your food freshness needs!
FreshContainer Care and Cleaning
Your containers are designed to be stain-resistant and dishwasher, freezer,
refrigerator, and microwave safe.
IMPORTANT: Periodically check the seal and underlying rim of the
container for food particles to ensure the tightest seal.
If the green perimeter seal is ever removed from the rim of the lid, be sure
that the smooth side of the seal faces in toward the container lid
(the dotted pattern or relief impression should face away from the lid).
To disassemble green button valve:
Looking at underside of lid, push underside of green button with thumb
and use other hand to remove other side of button (hard plastic piece). Pull
rubber valve through top of lid. Hand wash these pieces with warm soapy
water. Allow pieces to dry thoroughly before immediately reassembling.
WARNING: Choking Hazard. Product contains small parts not suitable
for small children.
To reassemble green button valve:
Push rubber valve through hole in top of VacuWare lid. Valve is properly
installed when valve flanges catch on underside of lid. Press hard plastic
green button through hole in valve.
NOTE: Do not attempt to assemble button and valve before installing
into lid. This can damage the valve and will affect the seal. Install
valve before green button.
Do not place hot food under a vacuum! Always
allow the food to cool  rst and then seal and store.
WARNING: Vacuum packaging is not a substitute for
proper food handling. Perishable foods still must be
refrigerated or frozen for storage; refrigerate, freeze, and
thaw foods appropriately.
If you are sealing food for an extended period
of time (for example, freezing bulk foods), we
recommend you double the sealing time to ensure
the best possible seal. If your FreshStation takes ten
seconds for the light to indicate a completed seal,
then continue sealing for another ten seconds. YOU
CANNOT OVERSEAL YOUR FRESHCONTAINERS!
Scratches and small cuts or nicks on the rim of your
container, lid or on the green seal will affect the seal
of your FreshContainers. If eating or preparing foods
in the FreshContainer, be careful not to scratch the
rim.
When sealing liquids, fill your FreshContainers no
more that 2/3 full to reduce the potential of liquids
getting pulled into the valve.
The Benefits
Fresh
Preserves your food up to three to five
times longer
Strongest possible seal with
today’s technology
Versatile
Use in the freezer, refrigerator,
microwave, and dishwasher
Attractive enough to use the containers

heating, and serving process!
Durable
Virtually indestructible
Will stand the test of time in
your kitchen
Convenient
No more replacing broken, stained, or
warped serving pieces
You’ll never have to find a matching
lid again
Uniquely designed to stack in each
other or together

Fresh Foods
Leftovers
FreshContainer Helpful Hints
Never use VacuWare containers in the oven.
Use your FreshContainer only for its
intended purpose.
FreshContainers are designed to be used in
conjunction with VacuWare vacuum devices only.
Remember that thick liquids (such as caramel or
chocolate) expand during the sealing process.
Be sure to leave space in your FreshContainer for
this expansion.
You may need to “break in” the valves on your
FreshContainers the first time you use them.
Press the green button around the edges several
times to maximize the effectiveness of your
valve.
Be sure foods are not wrapped in plastic of any
kind before placing in FreshContainer, as this can
block the airflow when sealing.
For maximum freshness, be sure fruits and
vegetables are dry before sealing.
For Sealing Instructions with FreshStation see
page 13 and with FreshPump see page 15.

Your VacuWare® FreshJarLids
TM
The FreshJarLid is an innovative addition to the concept of vacuum sealing. The FreshJarLid allows you to transform
nearly any jar into a vacuum sealing container! Remember when you opened that jar of sauce for the first time and
heard the “pop” that told you the contents were fresh? Experience that same freshness time and time again with
our tell-tale “whoosh”!
FreshJarLids Care and Cleaning
If your FreshJarLids need cleaning, run them through a dishwashing
cycle, or hand-wash in warm, soapy water, dry, and reseal.
Liquid vacuumed through the jar lid valve may reduce the effectiveness
of the vacuum seal. If this occurs, run your FreshJarLids through a
dishwashing cycle. If you continue to experience difficulty with the
quality of the seal, disassemble, clean, and immediately reassemble
(see instructions below.)
To disassemble green button valve:
Push underside of green button with thumb and use other hand to
remove the hard plastic piece of the button. Pull rubber valve through
top of lid. Hand-wash these pieces with warm soapy water and dry
thoroughly before immediately reassembling.
WARNING: Choking Hazard. Product contains small parts not
suitable for small children.
To reassemble green button valve:
Push rubber valve through hole in top of VacuWare lid. Valve is properly
installed when the valve flanges are in full contact with the surface of
the jar lid. Press hard plastic green button through hole in valve.
NOTE: Do not attempt to assemble button and valve before installing
in lid. This can damage valve and will affect seal. Install valve before
green button.
DO NOT use on cans, plastic containers, or thin glassware:
pressure from the vacuum seal could cause damage.
Use your FreshJarLid only for its intended purpose.
FreshJarLids are designed to be used in conjunction with
VacuWare devices only.

Your FreshStation is an innovative device that eliminates the labor and guesswork in vacuum sealing your food! Your
FreshStation removes the air from your container, locks in the freshness, and lets you know when the process is complete!
The Benefits
Compact Unit:
Compact, lightweight, powerful unit
Achieves the strongest seal possible with
today’s technology

Uniquely designed reservoir system
keeps accidentally vacuumed fluids
from reaching the motor
FreshStation Care and Cleaning
To avoid risk of electric shock and/or damage to the unit
components, do not immerse your FreshStation in water.
Use only non-abrasive cleaners to wash the surface of your
FreshStation.
If liquid or food is accidentally vacuumed into the FreshStation
wand or reservoir, simply remove the affected part, clean with dish
detergent, and promptly reassemble.
Should the wand hose become clogged with liquid or food, remove
and run warm, soapy water through the wand hose and reservoir,
and immediately reassemble.
NOTE: Your FreshStation wand can be removed for easy cleaning.
FreshStation Helpful Hints
Use your FreshStation on a flat, dry surface.
Never submerge your FreshStation or its cord in
water, or use on any wet, slippery surface.
Never place your FreshStation on the stovetop or
other hot surface.
Use your FreshStation only for its intended purpose.
Your FreshStation is designed to be used with
VacuWare products only.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, your FreshStation
has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). This plug fits in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not
attempt to force the plug into the outlet, or alter
the plug or outlet in any way.
FreshStation Wand, Hose
and Reservoir Assembly
Follow the instruction sequence given to maximize
your seal’s integrity.
To seal food for an extended period (i.e. freezing
bulk foods), we recommend you double the
sealing time to ensure the best possible seal. If
your FreshStation takes ten seconds to indicate a
completed seal, then continue sealing for another
ten seconds.
FreshStation Safety
Always plug your FreshStation into a 120 volt
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet.
Do not operate your FreshStation if it is
damaged or malfunctions in any way, or
if the plug or power cord is damaged. If
FreshStation, cord, or plug is damaged,
return to service center for repairs.
For more information, call: 1-888-VacuWare
To disconnect your FreshStation, unplug the
power cord from the electrical outlet. Do not
disconnect by pulling on cord.
Close supervision is required when your
FreshStation (and any electrical appliance) is
used near children.
Read your FreshStation Quick Start Guide and
Instruction Manual for operating instructions.
Properly install your FreshStation wand by
first inserting the bottom of the wand,
then the top.
Place FreshContainer, FreshPouch, or
FreshJarLid directly in front of your
FreshStation to make sealing easier.

Continue pulling and pushing until tension is felt in the handle.
Depending on the size of the container or jar and its contents,
it could take between 10-30 repetitions to achieve a proper seal.

Your VacuWare® FreshPouch

your food fresh and delicious! Your steaks, chicken, seafood, and frozen vegetables will be as fresh as the day
you bought them!
Caution: Your VacuWare FreshPouch is not a toy
and is unsuitable for children.
To avoid risk of suffocation, keep your
FreshPouch away from babies and small children.
Do not place in a crib, play yard, or anywhere
within reach of children.
FreshPouch Helpful Hints
Benefits
Fresh
Keeps frozen foods fresher three to five
times longer
Ice crystals will not form on sealed foods
Made of puncture resistant material
Convenient
Take advantage of sales by buying and
freezing in bulk
Space to label contents and date on
each FreshPouch
Easy to use
FreshPouch Safety
Make certain that your seal is free of food
particles before sealing. If there are any food
particles on the seal, your seal may be lost over
time.
Use care when sealing sharp food items, such as
those containing bones.These could puncture
your FreshPouch and affect the seal.
Beef may darken in color after sealing due to the
loss of oxygen. This is not a sign of spoilage.
We recommend pre-freezing meat, seafood, or
vegetables for an hour or more before vacuum
sealing. This will ensure the best quality seal.
If you cannot pre-freeze, place a paper napkin
inside your FreshPouch to help control excess
moisture during the sealing process.
We recommend pre-freezing fruits, particularly
berries, for an hour or more before sealing in a
FreshPouch. The vacuum seal could crush the
berries, or cause them to stick if they are not
pre-frozen.
Be sure not to overfill your FreshPouch. Do
not fill any higher than the black vacuum port.
Overfilling your Pouch will affect your ability
to seal.
To ensure maximum seal, place the green
FreshPouch Seal over the black vacuum port
after sealing.
Use your FreshPouch only for its intended
purpose.
FreshPouches are designed to be used once
and in conjunction with VacuWare devices only.
NOTE: FreshPouches are designed for single use only!
For Sealing Instructions with FreshStation see
page 18 and with FreshPump see page 19.

PowerMarinating
TM
Marinated meat and seafood just tastes better. Always juicy, the rich, hearty flavor of your favorite marinade makes
an ordinary meal extraordinary! Normally, marinating needs to be done well before you are ready to prepare a meal,
but let’s face it; most of us are deciding what to cook for dinner when it’s time to cook, not twelve hours before!
VacuWare has removed the time constraints on marinating. You no longer need hours to enjoy succulent, flavorful
meats and seafood… fifteen minutes and VacuWare will do the job!
Benefits
The vacuum seal opens the meat fibers,
removes the trapped air, and forces the
marinade in
Marinate your meat, seafood, or
vegetables in MINUTES, not hours.
Try it and become a believer!
Get the tender, succulent food you
want without thinking ahead and
spending time you don’t have
How to PowerMarinate:
Place your meat or seafood into your VacuWare FreshContainer.
Add your marinade and replace the FreshContainer lid.
Vacuum seal using your FreshStation; we recommend at least
doubling the vacuum time for marinating. If your FreshStation seals
your container in fifteen seconds, continue sealing for another fifteen
seconds.
Immediately, the fibers open, the pockets of air are vacuumed out, and
the marinade is forced into your food!
Allow your food to marinate for fifteen minutes in the refrigerator.
Remove from your FreshContainer, and cook as desired!
PowerMarinating still works even if your meat or
seafood isn’t fully defrosted!

Thin out a thick marinade by adding 1-3
