SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Warning: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot

during use. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating

elements. Children less than 8 years of age shall be kept

away unless continuously supervised.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years

and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the ha-

zards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by chil-

dren without supervision.

Warning: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be

dangerous and may result in fire.

NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the

appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.

Warning: Danger of fire: do not store items on the cooking

surfaces.

Warning: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance

to avoid the possibillity of electric shock.

Metallic objects, such as knives, forks, spoons and lids sho-

uld not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.

After use, switch off the hob element by its control and do

not rely on the pan detector.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of

an external timer or separate remote-control system.

You should not use steam cleaning devices to clean the

appliance.

● Iftheinductionhobisoperatedinimmediatevicinitytotheradio,televisionsetorotherradio-frequ-

● Ifthemainssocketisnearthecookingzone,makesurethecorddoesnottouchanyhotareas.

● Whencookingusingoilandfatdonotleavetheapplianceunattended,asthereisarehazard.

● Donotuseplasticcontainersandaluminiumfoil.Theymeltathightemperaturesandmaydamage

the cooking surface.

● Solidorliquidsugar,citricacid,saltorplasticmustnotbeallowedtospillonthehotcookingzone.

● Ifsugarorplasticaccidentallyfallonthehotcookingzone,donotturnoffthehobandscrapethe

sugarorplasticoffwithasharpscraper.Protecthandsfromburnsandinjuries.

● Whencookingoninductionhobonlyusepotsandpanswithaatbasehavingnosharpedgesor

burrs as these can permanently scratch the cooking surface.

● Inductionhobcookingsurfaceisresistanttothermalshock.Itisnotsensitivetocoldnorhot.

● Avoiddroppingobjectsonthecookingsurface.Insomecircumstances,pointimpactssuchasdrop-

ping a bottle of spices, may lead to cracks and chipping of the cooking surface.

● Ifanydamageoccurs,seethingfoodcangetintothelivepartsoftheinductionhobthroughdamaged

areas.

● Ifthecookingsurfaceiscracked,switchoffpowertoavoidtheriskofelectricshock.

● Donotusethecookingsurfaceasacuttingboardorworktable.

● Donotplacemetalobjectssuchasknives,forks,spoons,lidsandaluminiumfoilonthecooking

surface as they could become hot.

● Donotinstallthehoboveraheaterwithoutafan,overadishwasher,refrigerator,freezerorwashing

machine.

● Ifthehobhasbeenbuiltinthekitchenworktop,metalobjectslocatedinacabinetbelowcanbe

heatedtohightemperaturesthroughtheairowingfromthehobventilationsystem.Asaresultitis

recommendedtouseapartition(seeFigure2).

● Pleasefollowtheinstructionsforcareandcleaningofinductionhob.Intheeventofmisuseormi-

shandling warranty may be void.

UNPACKING

DISPOSAL

This marking means that the

appliance must not be dispo-

sed of together with other

household waste after it has

been used. The user is obli-

ged to hand it over to waste

collection centre collecting

used electrical and electronic

goods. The collectors, inclu-

ding local collection points, shops and lo-

cal authority departments provide recycling

and electronic goods helps avoid environ-

mental and health hazards resulting from

the presence of dangerous components and

the inappropriate storage and processing of

such goods.

In accordance with European Directive

let’s save electricity! This is

how it’s done:

●Use the correct cookware.

Cookwarewithatandathickbasecansave

upto1/3ofelectricity.Pleaserememberto

cover cookware with the lid, otherwise electri-

city consumption increased four times!

●Always keep the cooking zones and

cookware bases clean.

Dirt prevents proper heat transfer. Often

burnt stains can be removed only with agents

harmful to the environment.

●Avoiding unnecessary lifting the lid to

peek into the pot.

●Do not install the hob in the immediate

vicinity of refrigerator / freezer.

The electricity consumption is then unneces-

sarily increased.

INSTALLATION

Making the worktop recess

l Worktopthicknessshouldbe28-40mm,whileitswidthatleast600mm.Theworktop

mustbeatandlevel.Edgeoftheworktopnearthewallmustbesealedtopreventingress

ofwaterorotherliquids.

l Thereshouldbesufcientspacingaroundtheopening,inparticular,atleast50mmdi-

stancetothewalland60mmdistancetothefrontedgeofworktop.

l The distance between the edge of the opening and the side wall of the furniture should

be minimum 55 mm.

l Worktop must be made of materials, including veneer and adhesives, resistant to a tem-

peratureof100°C.Otherwise,veneercouldcomeofforsurfaceoftheworktopbecome

deformed.

l Edge of the opening should be sealed with suitable materials to prevent ingress of wa-

ter.

l Worktopopeningmustcuttodimensionsasshownongure1.

l Ensureminimumclearanceof25mmbelowthehobtoallowproperaircirculationand

preventoverheating.SeeFigure2.

INSTALLATION

Beforeconnectingtotheappliance,pleasecarefullyreadtheinformationprovidedonthe

rating plate and wiring diagram.

IMPORTANT! The installer is obliged to provide the user with „appliance electrical connection cer-

ticate”(enclosedwiththewarrantycard).

Connecting the hob other than shown on the wiring diagram may damage the hob.

Connecting to electrical mains

Important!

Electricalconnectionmustbemadebyaproperlycertiedqualiedinstaller.Donot

make any alterations or changes in the appliance electrical system.

Tips for the installer

Thehobisequippedwithaterminalblockallowingdifferentconnectionsappropriatefora

specictypeofpowersupply.

Important!

Remember to connect the neutral lead to correct terminal block clamp, marked

with . The electrical system supplying the hob must be protected by a properly

selected tripping device or a circuit breaker allowing to disconnect the power supply

in an emergency.

OPERATION

Induction cooking zone operation principle

Electric oscillator powers a coil placed inside the appliance.

Thiscoilproducesamagneticeld,whichinduceseddycur-

rents in the pot, when it is placed on the hob.

These currents make the pot real transmitters of heat, while

the hob glass surface remains cool.

Before using the appliance for the rst time

● thoroughlycleanyourinductionhobrst.Theinductionhobshouldbetreatedwiththe

same care as a glass surface.

● switchontheventilationintheroomoropenawindow,astheappliancecouldemitan

unpleasantsmellduringrstuse.

● operatetheappliancewhileobservingallsafetyguidelines.

Thisrequirestheuseofpotswhosebaseisferromagnetic,in otherwordssusceptibleto

magneticelds.

Overall,inductiontechnologyischaracterizedbytwoadvantages:

● the heat is only emitted by the pot and its use is maximised,

● there is no thermal inertia, since the cooking starts immediately when the pot is placed on

the hob and ends once it is removed.

The protective device:

If the hob has been installed correctly and is used properly, any protective devices are rarely

required.

Fan: protects and cools controls and power components. It can operate at two different

speedsandisactivatedautomatically.Fanmayrunswhenthecookingzonesareoffuntil

theelectronicsystemissufcientlycooled.

Temperature sensor: Temperature of electronic circuits is continuously monitored by a

temperature sensor. If temperature is raised beyond a safe level, this protection system will

reduce cooking zone heat setting or shut down the cooking zones adjacent to the overheated

electronic circuits.

Pan detection: allowsthehobtodetectpansplacedonacookingzone.Smallobjectsplaced

onthecookingzone(eg,spoon,knife,ring...)willnotberecognisedaspansandthehob

will not operate.

If a pan is not placed on a cooking zone or the pan is unsuitable, the symbol is

displayed.Thecookingzonewillnotoperate.Ifapanisnotdetectedwithin10minutes,

the cooking zone will be switched off.

Switchoffthecookingzoneusingthetouchcontrolsensoreldratherthanbyremo-

ving the pan.

Pan detector

Pandetectorisinstalledininductionhobs.Pandetectorstartsheatingautomaticallywhen

a pan is detected on a cooking zone and stops heating when it is removed. This helps save

electricity.

●Whenansuitablepanisplacedonacookingzone,thedisplayshowstheheatsetting.

●Inductionrequirestheuseofsuitablecookwarewithferromagneticbase(seeTableonpage

12).

Pan detector does not operate as the on/off sensor.

When switching the appliance on or off or changing the heat setting, attention should

bepaidthatonlyonesensoreldatatimeistouched.Whentwoormoresensor

eldsaretouchedatthesametime(excepttimerandchildlock),theapplianceigno-

resthecontrolsignalsandmaytriggerafaultindicationifsensoreldsaretouched

for a long time.

Whenyounishcookingswitchoffthecookingzoneusingtouchcontrolsensorelds

and do not rely solely on the pan detector.

Theinductionhobisequippedwithelectronictouchcontrolsensorelds,whichareoperated

bytouchingthemarkedareawithanger.

Eachtimeasensoreldistouched,anacousticsignalcanbeheard.

OPERATION

Thehigh-qualitycookwareisanessentialconditionforefcientinductioncooking.

OPERATION

● Alwaysusehigh-qualitycookwarewithaperfectlyatbase:thiswillpreventlocaloverhe-

ating,wherefoodcouldstickwhilecooking.Potsandpanswiththicksteelwallsprovide

superior heat distribution.

● Makesurethatcookwarebaseisdry:whenllingapotorwhenusingapottakenoutof

the refrigerator make sure its base is completely dry before placing it on the cooking zone.

This is to avoid soiling the surface of the hob.

● Lidpreventsheatfromescapingandthusreducesheatingtimeandlowersenergycon-

sumption.

Selecting cookware for induction cooking

When using cookware smaller than the minimum diameter induction hob may

not work.

Energy is transferred best when cookware size corresponds to the size of the cooking zone.

The smallest and largest possible diameters are indicated in the following table and depend

onthequalityofthecookwareused.

Cookware base has to be at for optimal temperature control by the induction

module.

The concave base or deep embossed logo of the manufacturer interfere with

the temperature induction control module and can cause overheating of the

pot or pan.

Do not use damaged cookware such as cookware with deformed base due to

excessive heat.

OPERATION

Control Panel

● Immediatelyaftertheapplianceisconnectedtoelectricalmains,alldisplayswilllightup

briey.Yourinductionhobisthenreadyforuse.

● The induction hob is equipped with electronic touch control sensor elds, which are

operatedbytouchingwithangerforatleast1second.

● Touchingofasensoreldisaccompaniedbyanacousticsignaltoacknowledge.

No objects should be placed on the sensor elds (this could cause an error).

Touch sensor elds should be always kept clean.

Selecting the cooking zone heat setting

Whilethenumber"0"isashingonthecookingzonedisplay,youcanstartadjustingtheheat

settingslidingyourngeracrosstheslidersensor(1).Thedefaultheatsettingis"0".

Switching on the cooking zones

Oncetheapplianceisswitchedonusingtheon/offtouchsensor(5),selectacookingzone

(2)withinthenext60seconds.

1 Whenacookingzoneselectionsensoreld(2)istouched,aashing"0"willbedisplayed

onthecorrespondingheatsettingindicatordisplay.Thedisplaywillashforabout5sec-

onds.Setaheatsettingduringthistime.

Switching on the appliance

Toswitchontheappliancetouchandholdtheon/offsensoreld(5)foratleast1second.

The appliance will sound an acoustic signal when it is ready for use. When the appliance

is ready for use, is shown on the timer display and symbols are shown on cooking

zone displays.

If none of the sensor elds is touched within 60 seconds, the appliance switches

itself off.

A cooking zone is active when a number is ashing on its display. This indicates

a cooking zone is ready for the heat setting to be set or changed.

Heatsettingselectionsensor(1)isaslidertypetouchcontrolsensorallowingselec-

tionofheatsetting(1-9)andtimersetting(1-99)bytouchingandslidingyournger

acrossthemarkedarea(1):

sliding right - increase the heat setting

sliding left - reduce the heat setting.

It is also possible to select the heat setting directly by touching the appropriate part of

theheatsettingselectionsensoreld(1).

OPERATION

Switch off the appliance

● Theapplianceoperateswhenatleastonecookingzoneison.

● Toswitchofftheappliancetouchtheon/offsensor(5).

If a cooking zone is still hot, the relevant display will show the letter "H" to indicate residual

heat.

Switching off cooking zones

● Agivencookingzonemustbeactive.Thereisaashingdigitontheheatsettingdisplay.

Turnoffacookingzonebyreducingtheheatto"0"usingtheslidersensor(1).

● Youcanalsoturnoffthecookingzonebytouchingtheon/offsensor(5).Thiswillturnoff

the appliance and all of its cooking zones.

Set the child lock

The child lock function protects the appliance from being unintentionally operated or switched

on by children or pets.

Settingthechildlockfunctionwhenallcookingzonesareswitchedoffprotectsthecooking

surface from inadvertent operation. The appliance can be operated once the child lock func-

tion is released.

The child lock function

You can activate the Child Lock at any time, even when the appliance control panel is turned

off.

TolocktheappliancetouchtheLockkey(4)untilashortbeepisheardandthetimerdisplay

shows "Lo".

The"Lo"symbolwillbeshownfor60secondsoritwillbeshownalternatelywiththe"--"

symbol.The"Lo"symbolgoesoutafter60seconds,buttheChildLockisstillactive.

The Child Lock function remains set until it is released even after the appliance

has been switched off and then switched on again. Disconnecting the appliance

from electrical mains deactivates the Child Lock.

Release the Child Lock

Inordertounlocktheappliance,touchtheLockkey(4)untilashortbeepisheard.

Stop’n go function (pause)

● Agivencookingzonemustbeactive.Touchthe sensor(3)andallcookingzoneswill

be turned off and the displays will show . When you touch the sensor only the (3)

and (5)sensorswillbeactive.

● Touchthe sensor again to resume normal operation of all cooking zones and recall

their previous heat settings.

Stop’ngofunctionactslikeapause.TheStop’ngofunctionsimultaneouslysuspendsop-

eration of all cooking zones and then resumes at the heat settings that were previously set.

OPERATION

Bridge function

● TheBridgefunctionallowspairingoftwocookingzonesintoasinglecombinedcooking

zone.TheBridgefunctionisveryconvenient,especiallywhencookinginlargepotssuch

as a baking pan.

TheBridgefunctionallowspairingoftwocookingzonesintoasinglecombinedcook-

ingzone(seegure).

● Touchthe sensor(2)tobridgetwocookingzonesintoasinglecombinedcookingzone.

Touchslidersensor(1)tosettheheatsettingforbothcookingzonesatthesametime.

● Ifyouchangethelocationofthepotfromonecookingzonetoanother,theappliancewill

detect a change in the position of the pot and the same heat setting will be set for the new

cooking zone.

● Touchthe (2), or sensor to disable the bridge function.

Boosterfunctionincreasesthepowerofacookingzone.

● Whenacookingzoneisactive(2),activatetheboosterfunctionbytouchingthe sen-

soreld(7).Activationoftheboosterfunctionwillbeindicatedbythesymbol shown

ontherelevantcookingzonedisplay(2).

● ToturnofftheBoosterfunction,touchthecookingzoneselectionsensoreld(2)andthen

touch the sensor(7)orreducetheheatsetting.

Booster function

OPERATION

● Boosterfunctioncanbeactivatedonlyforasinglecookingzone(inapair),orforthe

Bridgefunction.

● Boosterfunctionisautomaticallyturnedoffafterveminutesofoperation.

● WhentheBoosterfunctionisactiveforonecookingzone,theheatsettingofothercooking

zonesisreducedbelow2.

● Iftheinitialheatsettingwas0,thesetting9willonlybepossibleafter5minutes.

 OperationoftheBoosterfunctionislimitedto5minutes.OncetheBoosterfunctionis

automatically deactivated, the cooking zone continues to operate at its nominal power.

TheBoosterfunctioncanbereactivated,providedtheapplianceelectroniccircuitsand

induction coils are not overheated. When the pot is lifted from the cooking zone when the

Boosterfunctionisinoperation,itremainsactiveandthecountdowncontinues.

 WhentheapplianceelectroniccircuitsorinductioncoilsoverheatwhentheBoosterfunc-

tion is in operation, it is automatically deactivated. The cooking zone continues to operate

at its nominal power.

Boosterfunctioncanbeactivatedonallcookingzones.

Twocookingzones(frontandrear)formapair.Boosterfunctioncanbeactivatedatanytime

for one cooking zone in a pair.

 IfactivatingBoosterfunctioncausestheoverallpowerlimitofapairtobeexceeded,the

heat setting of the other cooking zone in a pair will be automatically reduced. The amount

by which power is reduced depends on the type of pot used.

The Keep Warm function

Keep warm function allows for keeping food warm on a cooking zone. The selected cooking

zoneoperatesatalowheatsetting.Cookingzone'sheatsettingisautomaticallyadjustedso

thatfoodtemperatureiskeptatatemperatureofabout65°C.

Thankstothis,readytoserve,warmfoodretainsitstasteanddoesnotsticktothepot's

bottom.Thisfunctioncanbealsousedtomeltbutterorchocolate.Forthekeepfoodwarm

function to operate correctly, use a flat base pot or frying pan, so that base temperature is

accurately measured by the temperature sensor fitted in the cooking zone. The keep warm

function turns off after 8 hours.

● ToactivatetheKeepWarmfunctiontouchthe sensor(2),thentouchthe sensor(6)

and the cooking zone display will show the symbol.

● ToturnofftheKeepWarmfunctiontouchthecookingzoneselectionsensorfieldandthen

touchslidersensor(1)todisabletheKeepWarmfunctionbyselectingadesiredheat

setting.

The residual heat indicator

Onceacookingzoneisswitchedoff,„H”isdisplayedontherelevantcookingzone’sdisplay

to warn that the „cooking zone is still hot!”.

Do not touch the cooking zone at this time owing to the risk of burns from resi-

dual heat, and do not place any object on it which is sensitive to heat!

When the residual heat indicator goes out, cooking zone can be touched, however keep in

mind that it may still be warmer than ambient temperature.

When there is no power, the residual heat indicator does not light up.

OPERATION

Limiting the operating time

Inordertoincreaseefciency,theinduction

hobisttedwithaoperatingtimelimiterfor

each of the cooking zones. The maximum

operating time is set according to the last heat

setting selected.

If you do not change the heat setting for a long

time(seetable)thentheassociatedcooking

zone is automatically switched off and the

residual heat indicator is activated. However,

you can switch on and operate individual co-

oking zones at any time in accordance with

the operating instructions.

OPERATION

Timer

Timer function makes cooking easier by making it possible to set Duration. It can also be

used as a Kitchen Timer.

Set the Timer

Timer function allows the cooking zone to be switched off after the set time has elapsed.

Thetimerfunctioncanonlybesetwhenacookingzoneisoperating(heatsettingisgreat-

erthan"0").Timercanbeactivatedatanytimeforallcookingzones.Timercountdowncan

besetfrom1to99minutes.

To set the timer:

● selectacookingzonebytouchingcookingzoneselectionsensoreld(2)andselect

thedesiredheatsettingfrom1to9usingtheslider(1)sensoreld.Theselectedheat

settingfrom1to9willashonthedisplay.

● then,duringthenext10seconds,touchtheTimerselectionsensoreld(8).The

number"10"withaashingzerowillbeshownonthedisplay.

● SettheDurationbytouchingtheslidersensor(1).Settheunitsdigitrst.Nexttouch

Timersensor(8)tosetthetensdigit.

Timer countdown will begin immediately after several seconds.

 OncethesetDurationhaselapsedtheappliancewillturnoffautomaticallyandasingle

beep will be heard. The display will show "- -".

The decimal point appearing by the numbers means the timer is active.

Changing Timer setting

ProgrammedTimersettingcanbechangedatanytime.

● Touchcookingzoneselectionsensoreld(2)toselectthedesiredcookingzone.The

heatingsettingwillashfor10seconds.

● Touchthetimersensoreld(8)toactivatethetimer.Timerdigitswillash

● Useslider(1)sensoreldtoadjustthetimerDuration.

Check Timer Duration

The remaining cook time duration will be shown on the Timer display. When Timer Duration

is programmed for more than one cooking zone, the shortest remaining duration is shown.
