Remove bogie from snowmobile.
Remove upper shock absorber bolt, the bolts to the
shaft at lower fixing point and remove original
shock absorber.
Mount the Öhlins shock with cylinder head
forward (See figure on opposite page)
Measure the original shock absorbers fixing point.
Choose one 189-shaft and suitable 182-spacer.
Grease the blue bushing in cylinder head before
mounting.
Fit supplied shaft into a torque stay and one of the
light alloy spacers on the shaft, then fit Öhlins
shock absorber. Fit the other light alloy spacer and
torque stay. Mount the bolts to the shaft.
Measure the original shock absorbers upper fixing
point and choose suitable 118-spacers to press into
the ball joint together with o-rings.
When mounting the upper shock bolt, compress
the shock absorber slightly using a suitable tool.
Mount bogie to snowmobile.
Make sure that all bolts are tightened.
Compress the bogie and make sure that there is
clearance between reservoir and support wheel
shaft. If not, move the shaft backwards.
Do not increase pre-load more than 2 mm from
pre-set position. i.e. maximum 36 mm spring pre-
loa

Plocka ur boggin från snöskotern.
Demontera den övre stötdämparskruven, de båda
axelskruvarna vid nedre infästningen och plocka
bort originaldämparen.
Öhlin-dämparen monteras med cylinderhuvudet i
främre fästet. (Se skiss på baksidan)
Mät orginaldämparens infästning. Välj en 189-
axel och lämplig 182-distans enligt tabellen ovan.
Smörj den blå bussningen i cylinderhuvudet med
lagerfett före monteringen.
Placera axeln i ett av momentstagen, montera den
ena aluminiumdistansen på axeln och därefter
stötdämparen.
Montera den andra aluminiumdistansen och det
andra moment staget. Montera sedan de båda
axelskruvarna
Mät orginaldämparens övre infästning och välj två
lämpliga 118-distanser som pressas i kulleden
tillsammans med o-ringarna.
Montera stötdämparen i övre fästet, det
underlättas om dämparen trycks ihop något med
hjälp av ett brytjärn eller liknande.
Återmontera boggit.
Se till att samtliga skruvar är åtdragna.
Tryck ihop boggit och kontrollera att
gasbehållaren går fri från stödhjulsaxeln. I vissa
fall kan det vara nödvändigt att flytta hjulaxeln
bakåt för att få frigång.
Öka ej förspänningen mer än 2 mm från för-
inställningen. dvs max 36 mm fjäderförspänning
