6.2 Battery operation
For the battery mode, you need
6 batteries (1.5 V, AA, LR6). These are
included in the scope of supply.
Risk of material damage
~Be sure to observe the correct po-
larity when inserting the batteries.
This is marked inside the battery
compartment.
1. Figure C: slide the battery com-
partment cover|8 a short distance
in the direction of the arrow, and
remove it upwards.

clicks into place.
7. Vacuum-sealing bag
The handheld vacuum sealer|1 can
only be used with special vacuum-seal-
ing bags (e.g. the vacuum-sealing
bags|11 supplied) provided with a suit-
able valve|12.
The vacuum-sealing bags|11 supplied:
- are provided with a hermetically
sealed double pressure cap|10.
- have a structured lower inside so it
is easier to remove the air.
- are temperature-stable down to
0|°F.
- are washable.|
- can be reused.
TIP: in order to protect the vacuum-seal-
ing bags|11 against contamination,
you are able to fill food into an open
airtight bag, and place this then into the
vacuum-sealing bag.
8. Preparation
During the vacuum-packing, air is re-
moved from the vacuum-sealing
bag|11. Due to the missing oxygen,
food spoils at a reduced speed.
In order to use this advantage, food
should be processed as freshly as possi-
ble, ready to cook, clean, and in hy-
gienically perfect condition.
Risk of material damage
~The device is not suited for process-
ing liquids or fine powdery sub-
stances such as flour.
In order to process liquids, let them
freeze briefly before.
Freezing
Freeze the food immediately after vacu-
um-packing.
