EZ Tube EZ-UPPER Installation guide

  • I have reviewed the EZ-CRETE Tube Installation Instructions. This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to install EZ-Tube properly, emphasizing steps such as leveling, anchoring, sealing, and backfilling. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about the installation process.
  • What should I do before installation?
What material should be used to level the bottom of the hole?
    What sealant should be used?
How should additional sections be added?
    How should back-fill be done?
EZ-TUBE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prior to installation check with local code enforcement regarding number and type of footing
required.
2. Once holes are dug, LEVEL BOTTOM OF HOLE, using crushed gravel or other recommended material.
3. Cut the anchor to length and insert through Base, or if not using a base first Upper section, and lower
into hole.
4. Repeat step 1-3 for each of your holes.
5. Align your initial sections with each other using a string and make sure they are the required distance
from your structure (ie: measure off the basement foundation for deck piers)
6. Seal at least around outer rim of first section using sealant that specifies “below grade”. You may
also mortar the entire top of the section before placing additional sections.
7. Add additional sections as needed, sealing between each one.
8. Slide attaching hardware (ie post base) over anchor, and tighten nut and washer.
9. Back-fill in small lifts, compacting each lift, while ensuring the pier stays level.
