THE CAPSULE SYSTEM
The machine is designed exclusively for use with
the "Aroma Polti" capsule. Each capsule contains
just the right amount and just the right grind to ob-
tain the best espresso coffee in a few seconds. The
wrapper on the capsule is made of polypropylene,
an excellent material for use in contact with food-
stuff. It is hygienic, convenient, and very resistant to
high temperatures.
The capsule system is not only very convenient and
easy to use, it guarantees all the freshness and aro-
ma of freshly roasted coffee, so that you can enjoy
your favourite blend.
Use with capsules other than "Aroma Polti"
capsules will result in forfeiture of the warranty.

of the appliance (1) and pull upwards to remove
(fig.1).

servoir (1) using clean cold water.

earthed socket.
Turn on the appliance by pressing the main
switch (3). During warm-up the 4 drink length in-
dicators (10) light up in sequence.
When optimal operating temperature is reached, the
supply sensor (8) remains fixed on as well as the in-
dicator (10) corresponding to the selected length.
The height of the cup resting surface can also be
adjusted (11a) to two different positions (high or
low), depending on whether mugs or coffee cups
are being used.
To adjust the surface height lift and remove the
collection drawer (11) from the appliance (fig.3),
pull out the cup surface rest (11a) from the liquid
collection compartment (11c), as shown in fig. 4,
and replace in the most suitable position.
WARNING: The first time you use the appli-
ance, it is important to do a washing cycle us-
ing a cleaning capsule provided as described
in the "MAINTENANCE" section.
MAKING COFFEE
Put a cup under the coffee dispenser (6).
Ensure that the cream konb (5) on the back of
the appliance is in the open position (OPEN)
(fig.5).
When open (OPEN), the cream tap (5) exploits
the “Venturi” effect, namely the coffee is mixed
with air, making it extra creamy.
Open the capsule compartment door (7a) and
put a capsule in the compartment (7), in the posi-
tion suggested by its shape (fig.6).
Close the door, pushing it all the way.
Adjust the length of the drink to be supplied by
turning the knob (9) to one of the 4 pre-set regu-
lations.
The first 3 indicator lights correspond to short, me-
dium and long coffee, the last, instead, is for drinks
like tea (fig. 7).
The choice is shown by the turning on of a length
signaller (10) positioned at the level of the cho-
sen length.
Touch the supply sensor (8). A few moments la-
ter, the coffee will start to come out.
The supply stops automatically once the previou-
sly selected quantity has been dispensed. Sup-
ply can in any case be interrupted at any stage
by pressing the supply sensor once again (8).
The used capsule automatically falls into the col-
lection drawer (11) when a new one is placed in
the compartment (7).
Empty the used capsules drawer frequently
to ensure that used capsules do not block the
exit passage.
NOTE: before the cleaning operation, ensure that
the empty capsule has been inserted and then
touch the supply sensor (8). If the instruction is not
followed, the water supplied is collected in the li-
quid collection compartment (11c) instead of co-
ming out from coffee dispencer (6).
PREPARATION OF DRINKS / TEA
This machine can prepare also some other drinks
and infusions with Aroma Polti Line.
Before preparing drinks or tea, close the cream
knob (5) by rotating it to the “CLOSE” position
(fig.5).
To supply the drink, proceed as for preparing cof-
fee.
WARNING: always ensure that the cream knob
is repositioned to “OPEN” before preparing cof-
fee again.
SHORTAGE OF WATER
Lack of water in the tank is signalled by the simulta-
neous flashing of the 4 drink length indicators (10).
Fill the tank again as described previously.
AUXILIARY SOCKET FOR
CAPPUCCINO MAKER
It is possible to connect the Cappuccì (optional) to
the coffee machine with the auxilary socket (4).
Open the auxiliary socket door with a screwdriver.
Warning: This operations must be followed with
the coffee machine not connected to the main
power. Follow then the Cappuccì instruction
manual.
WARNING: the capsule is automatically pu-
shed into the compartment when the door
(7a) is closed, pushing it as far as it will go.
Never push the capsule in with your fingers.

The new Polti milk foamer is perfect for all the per-
sons that want to foam the milk and arrange a good
cappuccino like the bar.
It is easy to use.
It is provided with a comfortable anti splash cap
and a non-stick jug for a fast heating and easy clea-
ning.
It is possible to connect Cappuccì to the main
power or directly to the “Lupin” machine.
ENERGY SAVING MODE
Approximately 10 minutes after the last use of the
appliance, it will enter “ENERGY SAVING” mode
where the device is disabled. This mode is signal-
led by the flashing of the supply sensor (8).
To reactivate the appliance normally, simply touch
the supply sensor (8).
MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the appliance before performing
any maintenance operations.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp
cloth only. Never use solvents or detergents, as
they could damage the plastic surface.
To clean the brewing elements and to help main-
tain your Polti capsule coffeemarker, use a clean-
ing capsule at least every 2/3 days. Cleaning is
carried out in the same way as coffee is prepa-
red, by adjusting the drink length adjustment
knob (10) to that for tea (fig. 6).
RECOMMENDATION: Place a dish underneath
the outlet to collect water.
Every time you clean the infusion parts, we re-
commend you also clean the coffee dispenser.
Unhook the cover to the coffee dispenser (6), pu-
shing the lever down as far as it will go and slip-
ping it off (fig.7). Clean the parts where the coffee
flows using a soft, damp sponge and then return
the cover to its position.
Remove the collection drawer (11), emptying it
and clean regularly after having separated the 3
compartments (11a, 11b and 11c).
Do not leave water in the machine’s tank during
periods of disuse.
To keep the tank hygienically clean, rinse it daily.
To clean and maintain your Polti capsule coffee-
maker, we recommend using the Clean Espresso
cleaning kit (item code PAEU0176).
Clean Espresso cleans and protects, extending the
life of your coffeemaker thanks to two new, specifi-
cally designed formulas (decalcifying and degrea-
sing).
Clean Espresso is available at
www.aromapolti.com
If you decide to use the CLEAN ESPRESSO clea-
ning kit, we recommend repeating the action descri-
bed at point 8 of the instruction manual at least th-
ree times, in order to rinse the insides of the
machine thoroughly.
