Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following difficulties while using
the system, use this troubleshooting guide to help remedy the
problem before requesting repairs.

The power does not turn on.
Check that the AC power cord (mains lead) is securely
connected to the wall outlet (mains).
The system does not work normally.
Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall
outlet (mains), then reconnect after several minutes.
The system does not output sound of the TV program when
connected to a set-top box.
Check the connections.
Select the correct input of the system to which the set-top box
is connected.
There is no sound or wireless transmission is not activated.
Check the status of the LINK/STANDBY indicator on the
surround amplifier.

Turns off.
ē
Check that the AC power cord (mains lead) of the surround
amplifier is connected securely.
ē
Turn the surround amplifier on by pressing / on the
surround amplifier.
ˎ
Flashes green quickly.
ē
Press / on the surround amplifier. Insert the
wireless transceiver into the surround amplifier correctly.
Press / on the surround amplifier.
ˎ
Flashes red.
ē
Press / to turn off the surround amplifier, and check the
following items.
Are the + and – speaker cords short-circuited?
Is anything blocking the ventilation opening of the
surround amplifier?
After checking the above items and fixing any
problems, turn on the surround amplifier. If the cause
of the problem cannot be found even after checking all
the above items, consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Flashes green or orange slowly or turns red.
ē
Make sure that the wireless transceiver is inserted correctly
into the main unit.
ē
Sound transmission is poor. Move the surround amplifier
so that the LINK/STANDBY indicator turns green or orange.
ē
Move the system away from other wireless devices.
ē
Avoid using any other wireless devices.
ˎ
Turns green or orange.
ē
Check the speaker connections.
There is no sound from surround speakers.
Press OPTION and check that [Sound Mode] is set to [Auto].
A disc does not play.
The region code of the disc does not match the system.
Moisture has condensed on the lenses inside the main unit.
Remove the disc and leave the main unit turned on for about
half an hour.
The disc is not correctly finalized.
Reducing power usage to less than 0.3 W in
Standby Mode
Press HOME, and then press /// to select [Setup]. Check that
the following settings are made:

Select [System Settings] > [HDMI Settings] > [Control for HDMI],
then set [Control for HDMI] to [Off].
ˎ
Select [System Settings] > [Quick Start Mode], then set [Quick
Start Mode] to [Off ].
ˎ
Select [Network Settings] > [Remote Start], then set [Remote
Start] to [Off ].
