Read this important information carefully before you use the appliance
and save it for future reference.
Danger
- Never vacuum up water or any other liquid.
- Never vacuum up ammable substances or hot ashes.
- Never immerse the vacuum cleaner or the charger in water or any
other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the
local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner or the charger if it is damaged.
- The charger and its adapter cannot be replaced. If the charger or its
adapter is damaged, the appliance must be discarded.
- The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adapter to
replace it with another plug, as this causes a hazardous situation.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
- The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or
maintaining the appliance.
Caution
- Remove the adapter from the wall socket before you clean the
charger.
- Only charge the vacuum cleaner with the charger supplied. During
charging, the adapter feels warm to the touch. This is normal.
- Always switch off the vacuum cleaner after use and when you charge it.
- The voltage on the contact strips in the charger is low and therefore
not dangerous.
- Never block the exhaust air openings during vacuuming.
- Always use the vacuum cleaner with the lter unit assembled.

- To avoid the risk of electric shock, be careful when you drill holes in
the wall to attach the charger, especially close to a wall socket.
- Charge, store and use the appliance at a temperature between 5°C
and 35°C.
- Do not dismantle or short-circuit the batteries. Protect the batteries
from re, heat and direct sunlight.
- Noise level: Lc = 73.5 dB(A)

Recycling
- This symbol means that this product shall not be disposed of with normal household waste
(2012/19/EU) (Fig. 1).
- This symbol means that this product contains built-in rechargeable batteries which shall not be
disposed of with normal household waste (2006/66/EC). Follow the instructions in section
‘Removing the rechargeable batteries’ to remove the batteries (Fig. 2).
- Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical and electronic products and
rechargeable batteries. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the
environment and human health.
Removing the rechargeable batteries
NiMH batteries may explode when exposed to high temperatures or re.
Only remove the rechargeable batteries if they are completely empty.
Remove the rechargeable batteries in the following way.
1 Let the vacuum cleaner run until it stops and undo the screws (Fig. 3).
2 Remove one housing half and take out the rechargeable batteries (Fig. 4).
3 Squeeze the crimping caps that connect the wires between the handles of a pair of pliers
until the crimping caps come off (Fig. 5).
4 Put insulating tape around the bare ends of the blue and red battery wires (Fig. 6).
Caution: Keep the blue and red battery wires away from each other and do not connect them.

Troubleshooting
1 The appliance does not work
- The batteries may be low. Recharge the batteries.
2 The charging light does not go on.
- You may not have put the adapter in the wall socket properly. Put the adapter in the wall socket
properly.
- Make sure that the appliance plug is inserted into the appliance properly and that the appliance
is switched off.
- You may not have placed the appliance on the charger properly. Place the appliance on the
charger properly and make sure that the charging light goes on.
- The contact points on the appliance and/or on the charger may be dirty. Wipe them clean with
a dry cloth.
- The appliance may have been switched on while it was on the charger. Make sure that the
appliance is switched off when you charge it.
3 The vacuum cleaner does not vacuum properly.
- The dust compartment may not be attached to the appliance properly. Attach the dust
compartment to the appliance properly.
- The dust compartment may be full. Empty the dust compartment.
- The lter unit in the dust compartment may be clogged. Clean both parts of the lter unit.
4 Dust escapes from the vacuum cleaner.
- The dust compartment may be full. Empty the dust compartment.
- The dust compartment may not be attached to the appliance properly. Attach the dust
compartment to the appliance properly.
- Perhaps the lter unit is not placed in the dust compartment properly. Place the lter unit in
the dust compartment properly.
5 The vacuum cleaner does not work properly when one of the attachments is attached to
the nozzle.
- Check if the attachment is blocked. If this is the case, remove the obstruction.
- The dust compartment may be full. Empty the dust compartment.
- The lter unit may be clogged. Clean both parts of the lter unit.
6 The appliance produces a lot of noise.
- There may be solid particles in the dust compartment. Empty the dust compartment.
