WARNINGS ABOUT SAFETY
* Halogen Ovens are designed for indoor domestic use only. They should not be used
by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or
lack of knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
*Halogen ovens should never be used with an external timer or separate remote-control
systems.
*Do not use a halogen oven with a multi-adaptor plug; always connect directly into the
wall socket. Using multiple appliances with an adaptor can overload the circuit.
*HOT SURFACES! Always use well insulated oven gloves or oven cloth when removing
food or racks from the halogen oven. NEVER touch the underside of the lid: this gets
very hot. Always use the tongs with oven gloves or cloth to grip the rack. Always place
the lid of the halogen oven on the lid holder. Never place it down flat on any surface. If
for any reason you are obliged to place it on a flat surface, please put a well insulated
oven cloth under it. ALWAYS lift the lid by gripping the handle and NEVER by the rim.
Fit the extender ring between the bowl and the
lid to increase the size
(Converts to 15 Litre capacity)

ELECTRICAL HAZARD WARNINGS!
*Always check the power lead for any signs of wear or damage before connecting to a
power source. If any damage is evident DO NOT use the machine. Take it for repair to a
qualified electrician. Always make sure that the power lead does not hang over the side
of a work surface and is never close to any heat source such a hob, oven, toaster etc.
*NEVER let the lid of the halogen oven get wet and never use it close to a source of
water. NEVER put the lid in water for cleaning. If the lid is ever accidentally immersed in
water (or any other liquid) or gets wet, do not use it again until it has been inspected by
an authorised electrician or repair company. NEVER put the lid in a dishwasher.
*The plug is fitted with a 13 amp fuse. Replace with the same type if required. If you
need to replace the plug please observe the correct connection of the wires in the
power lead. Blue to Neutral (marked “N” in the plug) - Brown to Live (marked “L” in the
plug) - Green & Yellow to Earth (marked “E” in the plug). If you have any doubt about
this please get the wiring done by a qualified electrician, or telephone us for advice.
Under no circumstances should you make the wrong connections.

GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS.
*Do not look directly at the halogen bulb in the lid when it is turned on, or touch the bulb
at any time.
*Always use a halogen oven on a flat secure heat proof surface, and never move it
when in use.
*Never overfill the bowl. Make sure there is at least about 3 cm clearance between the
top of the food and the lowest part of the lid. The lid must be securely closed when in
use.
*Never cover a halogen oven with anything when it is in use.
*Do not leave a halogen oven unattended when in use.
* Keep the appliance away from pets and children.
* Never try to disassemble the lid or make any modifications to the appliance.
*Items that can be used with a halogen oven. You can use any product or material that
is used in conventional ovens. These include ceramics, metal, foil etc; any material that
can be safely heated to 290 degrees Centigrade.
*Beware of steam! When you open the lid during cooking there will probably be a
release of steam. Please keep your head a safe distance away and beware of any hot
water that might drip from the lid.
DANGER OF FIRE
*Never use an aerosol anywhere near a halogen oven when it is operating.
*Never put any inflammable materials (paper, cardboard, plastic etc) in the oven.
CLEANING AND CARE.
*Before using for the first time, please wash the bowl, racks and tongs in warm soapy
water and dry thoroughly.
* Cleaning the lid. Always make sure it is not connected to a power source and use a
soft slightly damp cloth to clean the glass and metal surface on the base of the lid. Take
6
great care not to let any water make contact with the bulb and housing under the metal
plate.
*Always make sure that all parts are completely dry before use.
*Clean the appliance well after every use. The glass bowl can be placed in a
dishwasher.
*WASH (SELF CLEANING) FUNCTION
Before using this function you should remove all food from the bowl [you can leave in
the racks], add about 3.8 cm of cold water and some washing up liquid. Put the lid on
and select the “Wash” function. Set the timer to 10 minutes and turn on. The heat and
agitation caused by the fan will clean the bowl and save you extra washing up.
Occasionally some hard deposits might be left behind. Remove these with a brush and
then rinse and dry the bowl.
GETTING STARTED.
*Check all the parts are included and assemble the halogen oven. Place the base of the
frame on a suitable surface, add the bowl, include the rack (or racks) if required, and put
the lid on. Place the lid support rack nearby and connect the unit to the mains.
* Select the heat setting required by using the temperature control.
* Set the timer. If in doubt select 60 minutes. Check with the recipe you are using.
*NEVER turn the timer anti-clockwise.
* To turn oven on, press button on handle, and place handle down flat.
* When the required heat is reached the green light will go out; it will come on again
when ovens thermostat recognises that the temperature has dropped. Please note this
is normal, and the oven is still working.
*THAW (DEFROST) FUNCTION
* Place the rack(s) with frozen food into the oven. Put the lid on and select theThaw
function. Set the timer to 10 minutes and turn on to defrost frozen food. Keep checking
the defrosting food. Ensure food is totally defrosted before cooking.
7
*SAFETY CUT-OFF. If the handle is lifted while the oven is on, the safety switch will
automatically turn the heat off. This is for your protection. When the lid is replaced and
the handle put back into the flat position the switch is deactivated and the power comes
on again.
*The halogen oven will turn off automatically when the cooking time has been reached.
You can reset as above to continue cooking.
