JDS Labs ODAC is a standalone digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed to improve the sound quality of your digital audio files. It connects to your computer via USB and to your headphone amplifier via a 3.5mm or RCA line-output jack. ODAC requires no drivers and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It supports 24-bit, 96 kHz audio output and features a built-in volume control.

Note:DonotconnectheadphonesdirectlytotheODAC.TheODACisaline‐outputdevicewhichabsolutely

requiresconnectiontoanexternalamplifier.



InitialComputerSetup

ODACrequiresnodriversinWindows,MacOSX,orLinux.Mostoperatingsystemsimmediatelyrecognizeand

setODACasthedefaultplaybackdevice.Tomanuallyselecttheplaybackdevicein:

o WindowsXP:

Doubleclickvolumeiconintaskbar.Click‘Options’,

‘Properties’,choose‘ODAC’.

o WindowsVista/7:

Rightclickvolumeiconintaskbar,click'PlaybackDevices',set

'ODAC'asdefaultdevice.SuggestedProperties(Rightclick

ODAC"Speakers"icon):

 Enhancements:Check"Disableallenhancements"

Ensure‘ODAC’isselectedfrom‘AudioDevices’




