Select the area where you are going to set up and operate your machine. For safe operation, the location must be on a hard,

Basic Assembly Tips

Follow these basic points when you assemble your machine:

•Readandunderstandthe“ImportantSafetyInstructions”beforeassembly.

•Collectallthepiecesnecessaryforeachassemblystep.

•Usingtherecommendedwrenches,turntheboltsandnutstotheright(clockwise)totighten,andtheleft(counterclock-

wise) to loosen, unless instructed otherwise.

•Whenattaching2pieces,lightlyliftandlookthroughtheboltholestohelpinserttheboltthroughtheholes.

•Theassemblyrequires2people.

1. Attach Stabilizers to Frame

Note: Make sure the Schwinn

decal on the Rear Stabilizer faces outward from the machine.

NOTICE: Make sure the adjustment knob engages the Seat Post. Be sure the Seat is straight.

4. Connect Console Mast Cable to Frame Assembly Cable

NOTICE: Align the clips on the cable connectors and make sure the connectors lock. Do not crimp Console Cable.

5. Attach Console Mast to Frame Assembly

NOTICE: Do not crimp Console Cable.

Note: Do not fully tighten the hardware.

6. Attach Handlebars to Frame Assembly

NOTICE: Do not crimp the cables. Remove the pre-installed plug from the mast, route the HR cable through the hole to

the top of the mast, and reinstall the plug.

8. Connect Cables and Attach Console to Frame Assembly

NOTICE: Align the clips on the cable connectors and make sure the connectors lock. Do not crimp Console

Cable. Do not fully tighten the hardware.

7. Remove Hardware from Console

NOTICE: Do not crimp the cables.

Note: Hardware is pre-installed ( * ).

9. Adjust the Console and Console Mast and Tighten Hardware

10. Install Water Bottle Holder on Console Mast

Note: The hardware is pre-installed on the console mast and not on the hardware card ( * ).

11. Connect AC Adapter to Frame Assembly

12. Final Inspection

Inspect your machine to ensure that all hardware is tight and components are properly assembled.

Be sure to record the serial number in the field provided at the front of this manual.

Do not use or put the machine into service until the machine has been fully assembled and inspected for correct

performance in accordance with the Owner’s Manual.

Leveling Your Bike

The levelers are the polygonal end caps on the Rear Stabilizer. Turn the end cap to adjust the level. Make sure the bike is level

andstablebeforeyouexercise.

Moving Your Bike

To move the upright bike, carefully tilt the Handlebars toward you while pushing the front of the bike downward. Push the bike to

the desired location.

NOTICE: Be careful when you move the bike. All abrupt motions can affect the computer operation.
