Area of application

As the Confidence RO 300 water purifier is to be connected to one or

two original taps (Confidence RO 300) and/or to equipment that require

pressure regulation, Confidence Multiline is connected after the water

purifier. Examples of equipment that can be connected include dish-

washers, ice-making machines and coffee vending machines.

A pressurised tank is occasionally required to even out flow variations.

Accessories

Safety information

Carefully read through the user instructions, which contain directions,

advice and warnings, before installing and starting to use Confidence

Multiline. It will then work in a proper manner and provide the greatest

benefit. The user instructions should be kept and stay with the appliance

if it is ever moved or changes owners.

● Do not let children play with Confidence Multiline or the packaging

material.

● Confidence Multiline should be positioned according to the instructions

in the Installation section.

● The pressure-regulated outlet should be plugged when not in use.

● Never subject Confidence Multiline to temperatures below 0° C (32° F).

● The Confidence RO 300 water purifier should be flushed before

connecting Confidence Multiline.

● Purified water may only be used if the tap’s light glows green when

the purified water is produced. It can take up to 120 seconds before

the approved water quality is indicated.

● Check that all connections are tight at regular intervals. If leakage

has occurred – disconnect the mains voltage by disconnecting the

mains lead from the socket and use the trouble-shooting table.

● When the water purifier has to be cleaned (descaling, disinfection)

or put into storage, Confidence Multiline must be disconnected.

See the section “Disconnecting Confidence Multiline”.

● Do not modify Confidence Multiline in any way. This can result in

personal injury and/or damage to property which is not covered by

any warranty.

● If the mains lead or transformer is damaged in any way, it must be

repaired by a qualified person or replaced with an equivalent item

in order to avoid injury.

● Break the current to a defective Confidence Multiline by pulling out

the plug. Always engage authorised personnel to repair Confidence

Multiline.

Function

When Confidence Multiline is connected to the purified water outlet

from Confidence RO 300, it is possible to connect up to two original

purified water taps for Confidence RO 300. In addition, Confidence

Multiline has a pressurised purified water outlet for connection to

various items of equipment that require clean water, such as dish-

washers, ice-making machines or coffee vending machines.

Taps 1 and 2

When the button on tap 1 and/or tap 2 is pressed in, purified water

production commences. If the button is pressed again, purified water

production ceases.

If both taps are open, the water flow will be divided between the taps.

The same applies if the equipment, connected to the pressure-

regulated outlet, requires water.

Pressure-regulated connection

Confidence Multiline’s pressure-regulated connection is linked to

equipment or to a pressurised tank, which is optimised (size and

pressure) according to the withdrawal requirement. The volume is there

to even out the flow variations. Remember that the usable volume is

not the same as the tank’s total volume.

Consult with your dealer.

When the pressure drops below the set “ON” level, the water purifier

starts up and supplies purified water to the equipment via Confidence

Multiline. When the pressure rises above the set “OFF” level, the

water purifier ceases production of purified water.

Before approved water quality is achieved, the water is flushed to the

reject water outlet. When the water quality is approved, purified water

is produced to the connected equipment.

General

When starting purified water production, it can take up to 120 seconds

before approved water quality is achieved. If purified water production

has continued for two hours, the water purifier will flush for 5 minutes

and then continue producing purified water if required. Otherwise it

goes into Standby mode.

Installation

Position

Confidence Multiline should be positioned close to the water purifier,

not more than 2 m (6.6 ft) away. Secure 2 screws into the wall, allowing

them to protrude approximately 15 mm (9/16”), on which Confidence

Multiline is hung according to one of the following alternatives: (The

ruler in the margin on page 2 shows the dimensions for the hanging

alternatives).

The enclosed screws are wood screws. If the screws are to be used

in another material (plaster, concrete) – use the enclosed plugs.

Connection

● Place Confidence Multiline as described in the section “Position”.

● All hose connections that are not being used should be plugged.

When connecting Confidence Multiline, see illustrations A and B

on page 2.

1. Flush the Confidence RO 300 water purifier and then disconnect

the purifier from the mains voltage.

2. Remove the plug from the hose connection marked “Purifier” on

Confidence Multiline, see fig. C on page 43. Screw on one of the

enclosed adapters and connect one of the enclosed hoses from

the water purifier to the “Purifier” hose connection.

3. Remove the plug from the connection marked “Rinse” on Confidence

Multiline. Connect one of the enclosed hoses to the “Rinse” hose

connection. Route the other end to drainage.

Check applicable laws when connecting to drainage.

4. Connect the enclosed cable between the contact on the water

purifier and the “Purifier” contact on Confidence Multiline.

5. If the original tap for Confidence RO 300 is to be used: Remove the

plug and connect the tap hose to the Confidence Multiline hose

connection marked “Faucet 1”. Connect the tap’s cable to the

“Faucet 1” contact. The “Faucet 2” hose connection should be plugged.

If another original tap is to be used – connect as described above,

but to the outlets marked “Faucet 2”.

6. If the pressure-regulated outlet is to be used: Remove the plug

and connect one of the enclosed hoses between the Confidence

Multiline hose connection ”Pressure out” and the equipment.

One of the enclosed adapters can be used at the transition from

the 3/8” hose to the equipment. In some cases, a pressurised tank

is required. Consult with your dealer.

If the pressure-regulated outlet is not to be used, the outlet must

be plugged.

6a.Set the ON and OFF levels according to table 1. Set the ”Pressure

level” switches in accordance with the required setting, see fig. D.

This setting can only be adjusted when Confidence Multiline is

disconnected from electricity.

7. The transformer must be placed in a dry position. First connect the

transformer to Confidence Multiline and then to the mains socket.

Never expose the transformer to water.

8. Connect RO 300’s mains lead to the mains socket.

Application area

Remember that the flow capacity is reduced with increased

counterpressure.

1. Equipment without pressurised tank.

2. Equipment with pressurised tank.

3. Continuous flow below 1 litre/minute (0.26 US gpm) with

pressurised tank.

4. Continuous flow below 0.5 litre/minute (0.13 US gpm) with

pressurised tank.

5. Pressurised tank with larger volume.

Disconnecting Confidence Multiline

When the Confidence RO 300 water purifier is to be cleaned

(descaling, disinfection), put into storage, flushed or used tempo-

rarily without Confidence Multiline, Confidence Multiline must be

disconnected. The water purifier is then controlled with the original

tap.

1. First disconnect the mains voltage from the water purifier and

then from Confidence Multiline.

2. Disconnect the hose from the purified water outlet on the water

purifier.

3. Remove the cable from the contact on the water purifier.

4. Connect the tap’s hose to the purified water outlet on the water

purifier. (If the tap has been used with Confidence Multiline, this

should be disconnected first, both hose and cable.)

5. Connect the cable from the tap to the contact on the water purifier.

6. Connect the mains voltage to the water purifier.

The Confidence RO 300 water purifier can now be used without

Confidence Multiline.

When connecting Confidence Multiline, see the Installation section.

Also rinse Confidence Multiline by disconnecting the equipment and

routing the hose to drainage.

Trouble-shooting table

Disconnect Confidence Multiline according

to “Disconnecting Confidence Multiline” and

trouble-shoot the water purifier in accordance

with its user instructions.

● Check the ON and OFF levels.

● Check that the cables are correctly connected.

● Check that the hoses and the cables are

correctly connected.

● Pull out the plug and contact Service.

● Check that the sleeve is in the hose.

● Check the roundness of the hose.

● If necessary, cut the hose to achieve an even/

smooth sealing surface.

● The water purifier is producing a low flow.

Disconnect Confidence Multiline according

to “Disconnecting Confidence Multiline” and

trouble-shoot the water purifier in accordance

with its user instructions.

● Do not use the water if the results are un-

satisfactory. Have the purified water tested.

● Check there is no leakage in the connections

on the hose connected to “Pressure out”.

● Reduce the ON level.

If you are still having problems with Confidence Multiline even after having

read through and tried the procedures described in the trouble-shooting

table, contact your dealer.

Service and spare parts

If you have any questions or want to order service or spare parts,

please contact your dealer.

Before calling service, use the trouble-shooting table to try to remedy

the fault yourself. If warranty service is called in to remedy a problem

that is in this list, there is a risk that you will be responsible for the cost.

This is also true if you have used the appliance for a purpose other

than the one for which it is intended. Note that electrical faults should

always be rectified by a qualified person.

Give the appliance’s model designation, product and serial numbers

according to the data plate. The plate is located on the rear of the box.
