1) Set the Switches
Settings are factory pre-set for DIRECTV®.
For any other programming provider set
according to the diagram:

2) Install the Handle
Remove the two screws in the base for the
handle. Align the holes in the handle with the
two holes in the base (“WINEGARD” on the
handle facing upwards). Replace the screws
and tighten. Do not overtighten.
3) Choose a Location
Choose a location with a clear, unobstructed
view of the southern sky. Avoid obstructions
such as trees, hills, vehicles, or buildings —
these can block the signal from the satellite.
6) Watch
With the program guide downloaded,
you are ready to watch TV!
4) Wire the Antenna
With the power button on the power inserter in the
OFF position (not pressed in), connect the primary
port of the Carryout G2+ to the ANTENNA port on
the power inserter with the 25’ coaxial cable. With your
fingers, twist the cable on, and tighten a quarter
turn more with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Connect the “SAT IN” port of your satellite receiver to
the RECEIVER port of the power inserter with the 3’
coaxial cable. With your fingers, twist the cable on,
and tighten a quarter turn more with a wrench.
Do not overtighten.

5) Power On and Scan
Plug the power adapter into 110/120VAC outlet
and connect to the power port on the power
inserter (next to RECEIVER
coax port). Press the
power button on the
power inserter, wait
approximately 3-5 minutes
to scan. When the antenna
is completely quiet, set
up receiver for desired
programming.
