Place the template on the EXTERIOR
side of door. Fold template along fold
line and place fold line along the edge
of door with the centerline
approximately 38" (965mm) from floor.

Drill from one side until the point of drill just breaks through,
then complete hole from the other side to prevent splintering.

Mark straight line from center of bore holes across door
jamb. Locate center of strike hole by measuring back from
door stop, 1/2 the thickness of door.

Spectrum Brands Limited Warranty
This product comes with a lifetime mechanical and nish warranty to
the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in
material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the
residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This
warranty does not apply to any Product that is installed in a commercial
application. Exclusive Remedy: In the event of any defect in the Product
that breaches the foregoing warranty, Spectrum Brands, at its option, will
repair or replace the defective part of the Product or refund the purchase
price as the exclusive remedy. Spectrum Brands will not be liable for
any other damages or losses, including, but not limited to, incidental
and/or consequential damages, regardless of the legal theory asserted,
including any claim of breach of warranty hereunder or any other cause,
and whether arising in contract or in tort (including negligence and strict
liability). Exclusions: The warranty does not cover the deterioration
of the nish of the Product or any damage resulting from improper
maintenance, cleaning or installation, misuse, abuse, alterations,
accidents or Acts of Nature. For any remedy under this warranty, the
original purchaser may (1) return the Product to the location or distributor
from which the Product was purchased, (2) return the Product to a local
Spectrum Brands distributor. In all cases, you must provide a description
of the problem, your name, address, phone number and approximate
date of purchase. Spectrum Brands has the right to discontinue or modify
any product at any time.

la pieza defectuosa del Producto o reembolsará el precio de compra
como el recurso exclusivo. Spectrum Brands no se hará responsable
de ningún otro daño o pérdida, incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a,
daños incidentales y/o resultantes, sin importar la teoría legal que
se haga valer, e incluyendo todo reclamo de violación de la garantía
presente, o cualquier otra causa, ya sea como resultado contractual o
extracontractual (incluyendo negligercia y responsabilidad absoluta).
Exclusiones: la garantía no cubre el deterioro del acabado del Producto

En todos los casos, se deberá suministrar una descripción del problema,
nombre, direción, número de teléfono y la fecha de compra aproximada.
Spectrum Brands se reserva el derecho de discontinuar o modicar
cualquier producto en cualquier momento.
