Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your new appli-

ance.

You have clearly decided in favour of a quality

product. These operating instructions are a part of

this product. They contain important information in

regard to safety, use and disposal. Before using the

product, familiarise yourself with all of these opera-

ting and safety instructions. Use the product only as

described and only for the specified areas of appli-

cation. Retain these instructions for future reference.

In addition, pass these documents on, together with

the product, to any future owner.

Intended Application

This appliance is only suitable for shredding paper,

credit cards, CDs/DVDs and small staples (sizes:

24/6 and 23/6 (11.5 x 6mm), B-8 (11.5 x 7mm),

No10 (8.4 x 5mm)) and paper clips (up to 25 mm)

in private households. All other usages or modifica-

tions are regarded as improper and carry a significant

risk of accidents. Do not use this appliance for com-

mercial purposes.

Overheating protection

This appliance is fitted with overheating protection.

If the motor overheats due to overloading, the appli-

ance switches itself off automatically. If this occurs,

proceed as follows:

Caution:

Remove the power plug from the wall socket to avoid

unintended starting of the appliance

• Switch the appliance off by moving the switch

to the middle position "OFF".

• Empty the waste containers

• Allow the appliance to cool down.

• Put the plug back into the socket.

• Switch the appliance on by moving the switch

to the "AUTO" position.

We recommend that you let the appliance cool down

for about 30 minutes after 3 minutes of operation.

Important safety instructions

The following safety instructions must always be

complied with when using electrical appliances:

• Do not place the appliance in close vicinity to

sources of heat and water sources. There would

be the risk of fire and of receiving an electric

shock!

• Do not use the appliance close to inflammable

or explosive materials and/or ignitable gases or

in dusty environments. Risk of explosion!

• Do not use the appliance outdoors. The appliance

could be irreparably damaged!

To avoid potentially fatal electric

shocks:

• Should the power cable or the plug become

damaged, arrange for it/them to be repaired

by authorised specialists or Customer Services

as soon as possible.

• Arrange for damaged or malfunctioning appliances

to be inspected and/or repaired by a qualified

specialist or the Customer Service Department

as soon as possible.

• Do not expose the appliance to rain and never

use it in a humid or wet environment.

• Ensure that the power cable never becomes moist

or wet during operation.

To avoid the risk of injury:

• This shredder should be used by only one

person at a time.

• Never leave the appliance unattended whilst in

use.

Keep loose clothing, long hair, jewellery, etc. well

away from the cutter opening.

NEVER insert your fingers into the cutter opening.

Keep children away from the appliance. They could

hurt themselves.

• NEVER insert your fingers into the central hole of

a CD when you are feeding it into the appliance.

• Keep pets away from the appliance. They could

injure themselves.

• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals

(including children) with restricted physical, physio-

logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in

experience and/or knowledge unless they are

supervised by a person responsible for their safety

or receive from this person instruction in how the

appliance is to be used.

• The packaging material can be a source of danger

for children. Dispose of the material immediately

after unpacking or keep it in a safe place not ac-

cessible to children.

• Lay the power cable in such a way that no one

can tread on or trip over it.

Tips for safety:

• Place the appliance in the immediate vicinity of an

electrical power socket. Do not use an extension

cable. Ensure that the appliance and the power

socket are easily and quickly accessible in the

event of an emergency.

• Never overburden the appliance. This shredder

is designed for brief operating periods only.

• In cases of danger, immediately remove the elec-

trical plug from the socket.

• NEVER use this shredder for tasks for which it

was not designed.

• Always be attentive! Always pay attention to

what you are doing and act with common sense.

Never use the appliance when you are distracted

or don’t feel well.

Commissioning

 Take note: As every paper shredder is tested

for functionality after manufacture, it could hap-

pen that paper remnants may be found in the

cutters.

• Push the small waste container

onto the rails

inside the large waste container

• Place the cutter attachment

onto the large

waste container

so that the mains cable sticks

out to the rear.

• Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

Operation

You can shred up to 8 sheets (80g/m

pa-

per) at the same time.

Caution:

Never feed paper into the cutter opening if it still

has paper clips larger than 25 mm attached.

These could damage the cutting blades.

Switching the appliance on:

• Move the switch

to the position "AUTO" to

start shredding.

Inserting paper:

• Insert paper from above and in portrait format

into the cutter opening for paper

The motor starts automatically and switches itself

off automatically if no further paper is inserted.

You can shred up to 8 sheets (80 g/m

paper) at

the same time.

 Note: Regularly remove any residue left in the

cutting blades with a suitable tool, e.g. a pair

of tweezers. Ensure that the appliance is un-

plugged before doing this!

Inserting credit cards:

• Insert the credit card from above into the middle

of the CD/credit card cutter opening

. You can

only shred one credit card at a time. ALWAYS insert

these into the CD/credit card cutter opening

with the wide side first. If you do not, the magnetic

strip will not be destroyed.

 Note: Always insert the credit card into the

middle of the CD/credit card cutter opening

Otherwise, the shredding process will not start!

 Note: If the shredding process does not start

when you insert the credit card, carefully push

the credit card further into the CD/credit card

cutter

opening with a flat object.

 Note: If you want to ensure that the information

on the magnetic strip is irrevocably destroyed,

insert the credit card into the middle of the cutter

opening for paper

Note that the residue will then fall into the large

waste container

. if necessary, empty this be-

forehand in order to keep paper and plastic

waste separate.

Inserting a CD:

Warning!

NEVER insert your finger into the central hole of

a CD when you are feeding it into the appliance.

• Insert the CD from above into the middle of the

CD/credit card cutter opening

. You can only

shred one CD at a time.

Clearing a material blockage:

• Move the switch

to the "REV" ("reverse")

position if the material being shredded causes

a blockage.

The appliance now goes into reverse and the

material that is being shredded is ejected.

• Move the switch

to the "OFF" position as

soon as the jammed material has been ejected.

Switching the appliance off:

• Switch the appliance off by moving the switch

to the "OFF" position.

Emptying the waste containers

• Empty the waste containers

regularly.

• Empty the large waste container

at the latest

when paper is visible in the viewing window

• Dispose of the waste material in an environmen-

tally responsible manner.

Caution:

Remove the power plug from the wall socket to avoid

unintentional starting of the appliance

• Remove the cutter attachment

from the large

waste container

• Pull the small waste container

upwards out of

the large waste container

on the guide rails.

• Empty the large waste container

and then re-

assemble the components.

so that you can empty it.

Cleaning

Danger!

Always remove the power plug before cleaning the

appliance. There is a risk of receiving an electric

shock!

Warning!

The cutters in the appliance are very sharp! Injury

hazard!

Attention:

Do not spray any oil or other lubricants into the cut-

ter openings

. These would irreparably dama-

ge the appliance!

• Remove any residue left in the cutting openings

or cutting blades with a suitable tool,

e.g. a pair of tweezers. Ensure that the plug has

been disconnected.

• Clean the appliance with a lightly moistened

cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent

on the cloth.

Non-functionality

If the material to be shredded jams:

This means that you have inserted too much paper

into the appliance (max. 8 Sheets 80g/m

• Slide the switch 7 into the position "REV" should

the paper to be shredded jam. The appliance

now goes into reverse and the material to be

shredded is returned.

• Pull the paper to be shredded out of the appliance

and then place the switch 7 at "AUTO".

• The appliance is now once again ready for

operation.

If the appliance suddenly ceases operation:

This means that the appliance is overheated and

the automatic safety cut-out has activated itself.

Attention:

Remove the plug from the mains power socket to

avoid an unintended starting of the appliance.

• Set the switch 7 to the "OFF" position.

• Allow the device to cool down.

• Insert the plug back into the socket.

• Switch the device on by setting the switch 7

to the "AUTO" position.

If the appliance doesn`t allow itself to be

switched on:

• Check that the plug is correctly connected to

a mains power socket.

• Try out a different mains power socket.

• The appliance is probably defective. Have the

appliance checked by qualified specialists.

• The appliance has overheated and triggered the

automatic safety switch-off. For this, proceed as

follows:

Attention:

Remove the plug from the mains power socket to

avoid an unintended starting of the appliance.

• Set the switch 7 to the "OFF" position.

• Allow the device to cool down.

• Insert the plug back into the socket.

• Switch the device on by setting the switch 7 to

the "AUTO" position.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your

normal domestic waste. This product is

subject to the European guideline

2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-

posal centre or at your community waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal

centre.

Dispose of packaging materials in an

environmentally responsible manner.

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from

the date of purchase. The appliance has been ma-

nufactured with care and meticulously examined

before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In

the event of a warranty claim, please make contact

by telephone with our Service Department. Only in

this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be

assured.

The warranty covers only claims for material and

manufacturing defects, but not for transport damage,

for wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo-

nents, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for pri-

vate use only and is not intended for commercial use.

The warranty is void in the case of abusive and im-

proper handling, use of force and internal tampering

not carried out by our authorized service branch.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by

this warranty.

The warranty period will not be extended by repairs

made under warranty. This applies also to replaced

and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant

on purchase must be reported immediately after un-

packing the appliance, at the latest, two days after

the purchase date. Repairs made after the expiration

of the warranty period are subject to payment.

membne napotke za varnost, uporabo in odstranje-

vanje naprave med odpadke. Preden začnete iz-

delek uporabljati, se seznanite z vsemi napotki o

njegovi uporabi in varnosti. Izdelek uporabljajte le

Ta naprava je primerna izključno za razrezovanje

papirja, kreditnih kartic, plošč CD/DVD in majhnih

Zaščita pred pregretjem

Naprava ima vgrajeno zaščito pred pregretjem.

Če se motor zaradi preobremenitve preveč segreje,

se naprava samodejno izklopi. V tem primeru rav-

najte takole:

Pozor:

Električni vtič zmeraj potegnite iz vtičnice, da pre-

prečite nehoteni vklop.

• Napravo izklopite tako, da stikalo

preklopite

v srednji položaj „OFF“.

• Izpraznite zbirno posodo

• Počakajte, da se naprava ohladi.

• Električni vtič ponovno vtaknite v električno vtičnico.

• Vklopite napravo, tako da stikalo

preklopite

v položaj „AUTO“.

Priporočamo vam, da po 3 minutah delovanja

napravo pustite pribl. 30 minut, da se ohladi.

Pomembni varnostni napotki

Naslednje varnostne napotke je treba zmeraj

upoštevati pri uporabi električnih naprav:

• Naprave ne postavljajte v bližino virov toplote

ali vode. Pri tem obstaja nevarnost požara in

električnega udara!

• Naprave ne uporabljajte v prašnih ali eksplozijsko

nevarnih okoljih (z vnetljivimi plini in hlapi ter

hlapi organskih topil). Nevarnost eksplozije!

• Naprave ne uporabljajte na prostem. Naprava

se lahko nepopravljivo poškoduje!

Da se izognete smrtni nevarnosti

zaradi električnega udara:

• Poškodovane električne vtiče ali električne kable

dajte takoj zamenjati avtoriziranim strokovnim

osebam ali servisni službi, da se izognete nevar-

nosti.

• Naprave, ki ne delujejo brezhibno ali so poško-

dovane, naj takoj pregleda in popravi pooblaš-

čeno strokovno osebje ali servisna služba.

• Naprave ne izpostavljajte dežju in je nikoli ne

uporabljajte v vlažni ali mokri okolici.

• Pazite, da se električni kabel med delovanjem

naprave nikoli ne more zmočiti oz. navlažiti.

Preprečevanje nevarnosti

• Uničevalnik dokumentov naj vedno uporablja

• Naprave med obratovanjem nikoli ne pustite

V bližini rezalnih odprtin naj ne bo ohlapnih oblačil,

dolgih las, nakita in podobnega.

V rezalni odprtini nikoli ne segajte s prsti.

Otroci naj se napravi ne približujejo. Pri tem se lahko

poškodujejo.

• Pri vstavljanju CD-jev v napravo prsta ne imejte

v sredinski luknji CD-ja.

• V bližini naprave se ne smejo zadrževati živali.

V nasprotnem primeru se lahko poškodujejo.

• Ta naprava ni namenjena temu, da jo uporabljajo

osebe (vključno z otroci) z omejenimi fizičnimi,

zaznavnimi ali duševnimi sposobnostmi ali s po-

manjkljivimi izkušnjami in/ali znanjem, razen

pod nadzorom osebe, ki je zanje odgovorna ali

jim je dala navodila v zvezi z uporabo naprave.

• Embalaža predstavlja nevarnost za otroke. Zato

jo po razpakiranju takoj odstranite oz. shranite

zunaj dosega otrok.

• Električni kabel položite tako, da nihče ne more

stopiti nanj ali se spotakniti čezenj.

Varno ravnanje:

• Napravo postavite v neposredno bližino električne

vtičnice. Ne uporabljajte električnih kabelskih po-

daljškov. Poskrbite, da bosta naprava in električni

vtič lahko dostopna in v sili brez težav dosegljiva.

• Naprave ne preobremenite. Uničevalnik doku-

mentov je izdelan za kratek neprekinjen čas

obratovanja.

• V primeru nevarnosti električni vtič takoj potegnite

iz vtičnice.

• Uničevalnika dokumentov nikoli ne uporabljajte

v nasprotju z njegovo namembnostjo.

• Bodite nenehno pozorni! Vedno pazite na to, kaj

delate, in vedno ravnajte premišljeno. Naprave

nikakor ne uporabljajte, če ste nekoncentrirani

ali se ne počutite dobro.

Pred prvo uporabo

 Napotek: Ker pri vsakem uničevalniku

dokumentov po izdelavi preverimo njegovo

delovanje, se lahko zgodi, da so v rezilih

ostanki papirja.

• Potisnite majhno zbirno posodo

na vodila

v notranjosti velike zbirne posode

• Namestite rezalni nastavek

na veliko zbirno

posodo

, tako da električni kabel kaže nazaj.

• Električni vtič priklopite v električno vtičnico.

Uporaba

Istočasno lahko režete do 8 listov

(papirja z 80 g/m

Pozor:

V rezalno odprtino nikoli ne vstavljajte papirja, v

katerem so še pisarniške sponke, večje od 25 mm!

Te bi lahko poškodovale rezila.

Vklop naprave:

• Premaknite stikalo

za rezanje v položaj

„AUTO“.

Vstavljanje papirja:

• Pokončno obrnjen papir od zgoraj vstavite

v rezalno odprtino za papir

Motor se samodejno zažene in tudi izklopi, ko ni

več papirja za rezanje. Istočasno lahko režete do

8 listov (papirja z 80 g/m

 Napotek: Redno odstranjujte morebitne ostanke

v rezilih s primernim predmetom, na primer

s pinceto. Preverite, ali je pri tem električni vtič

odklopljen iz električne vtičnice.

Vstavljanje kreditne kartice:

• Kreditno kartico od zgoraj na sredini vstavite v

rezalno odprtino za CD-je in kreditne kartice

Hkrati je mogoče rezati le eno kreditno kartico.

Kartico v rezalno odprtino za CD-je in kreditne

kartice

vedno vstavite s širšo stranjo naprej. V

nasprotnem primeru se magnetni trak ne uniči.

 Napotek: Kreditno kartico v napravo vedno

vstavite na sredini rezalne odprtine za CD-je

in kreditne kartice

. V nasprotnem primeru

se rezanje ne bo začelo!

 Napotek: Če se postopek rezanja ne bi zagnal,

ko kreditno kartico vstavite, to s ploskim pred-

metom previdno potisnite globlje v rezalno

odprtino za CD-je/kreditne kartice

 Napotek: Če želite zagotoviti, da bodo informa-

cije na magnetnem traku nepreklicno uničene,

kreditno kartico v napravo vstavite na sredini

rezalne odprtine

. Upoštevajte, da bodo od-

padki potem padali v veliko zbirno posodo

To posodo po potrebi prej izpraznite, da boste

lažje ločili papirnate in plastične odpadke.

Vstavljanje CD-ja:

Opozorilo!

Pri vstavljanju CD-ja v napravo prsta ne imejte

v sredinski luknji CD-ja.

• CD od zgoraj na sredini vstavite v rezalno odprtino

za CD-je in kreditne kartice

. Hkrati je mogoče

rezati le en CD.

Odprava zastoja materiala:

• Potisnite stikalo

v položaj „REV“, („reverse“

(angleško) = nazaj), če se papir med rezanjem

zatakne. Tako vklopite povratno delovanje in

material za rezanje spravite iz naprave.

• Prestavite stikalo

v položaj „OFF“, takoj ko

se narezani material pomakne iz naprave.

Izklop naprave:

• Napravo izklopite tako, da stikalo

preklopite

v položaj „OFF“.

Praznjenje zbirnih posod

• Zbirni posodi

redno praznite.

• Izpraznite veliko zbirno posodo

najpozneje,

ko je v okencu

viden papir.

• Odpadni razrezani material odstranite na ekolo-

ško primeren način.

Praznjenje velike zbirne posode (za papir)

Pozor:

Električni vtič zmeraj potegnite iz vtičnice, da pre-

prečite nehoteni vklop.

• Rezalni nastavek

snemite z velike zbirne

• Potegnite majhno zbirno posodo

navzgor

z vodil in iz velike zbirne posode

izpraznite in vse dele

spet sestavite.

Čiščenje

Nevarnost!

Pred vsakim čiščenjem električni vtič potegnite iz

vtičnice. Obstaja nevarnost električnega udara!

V rezalni odprtini

maziv. Ta bi lahko napravo nepopravljivo poškodo-

vala.

• Odstranite morebitne ostanke v rezalnih odprti-

nah

ali na rezilih s primernim predmetom,

na primer s pinceto. Preverite, ali je pri tem elek-

trični vtič odklopljen iz električne vtičnice.

• Očistite napravo z vlažno krpo. V primeru trdo-

vratne umazanije dajte na krpo še blago sredstvo

za pomivanje.

V primeru napake

Če se material za rezanje zatakne v napravi:

To pomeni, da ste v napravo vtaknili preveč papirja

(največ 8 listov 80 g/m

• Potisnite stikalo

v položaj „REV“, če se papir

med rezanjem zatakne. Tako vklopite povratno

delovanje in material za rezanje spravite iz na-

prave.

• Papir za rezanje potegnite iz naprave in potem

stikalo

prestavite na „AUTO“.

• Naprava je sedaj ponovno pripravljena za

obratovanje.

Če se naprava nenadoma ustavi:

To pomeni, da je naprava pregreta in se je zaradi

varnosti samodejno izklopila.

Pozor:

Električni vtič zmeraj potegnite iz vtičnice, da pre-

prečite nehoteni vklop.

• Premaknite stikalo

v položaj „OFF“.

• Počakajte, da se naprava ohladi.

• Električni vtič ponovno vtaknite v električno vtičnico.

• Vklopite napravo, tako da stikalo

preklopite v

položaj „AUTO“.

Če naprave ni mogoče vklopiti:

• Preverite, ali je električni vtič vtaknjen v električ-

no vtičnico.

• Kabel naprave poskusite priklopiti v drugo elek-

trično vtičnico.

• Naprava je mogoče pokvarjena. Naj jo pregle-

da kvalificirano strokovno osebje.

• Naprava je pregreta in se je zaradi varnosti sa-

modejno izklopila. Pri tem ravnajte takole:

Pozor:

Odstranitev

Naprave nikakor ne odvrzite med obi-

čajne gospodinjske odpadke. Za izdelek

velja evropska direktiva 2012/19/EU.

Napravo oddajte pri podjetju, registriranem za od-

stranjevanje odpadkov, ali pri svojem komunalnem

podjetju za odstranjevanje odpadkov.

Upoštevajte trenutno veljavne predpise.

V dvomih se obrnite na najbližje podjetje za od-

stranjevanje odpadkov.

Embalažo v celoti oddajte za okolju

primerno odstranitev.

1. S tem garancijskim listom jamčimo

Kompernass Handels GmbH, da bo izdelek

v garancijskem roku ob normalni in pravilni

uporabi brezhibno deloval in se zavezujemo,

da bomo ob izpolnjenih spodaj navedenih

pogojih odpravili morebitne poma-njkljivosti in

okvare zaradi napak v materialu ali izdelavi

oz. po svoji presoji izdelek zamenjali ali vrnili

kupnino.

2. Garancija je veljavna na ozemlju Republike

Slovenije.

3. Garancijski rok za proizvod je 3 leta od dneva

nabave.

4. Kupec je dolžan okvaro javiti pooblaščenemu

servisu oz. se informirati o nadaljnjih postopkih

na zgoraj navedeni telefonski številki. Svetujemo

vam, da pred tem natančno preberete navodila

o sestavi in uporabi izdelka.

5. Kupec je dolžan pooblaščenemu servisu predlož-

iti garancijski list in račun, kot potrdilo in dokazilo

o nakupu.

6. V primeru, da proizvod popravlja nepooblaščeni

servis ali oseba, kupec ne more uveljavljati zah-

tevkov iz te garancije.

7. Vzroki za okvaro oz. nedelovanje izdelka morajo

biti lastnosti stvari same, in ne vzroki, ki so zunaj

proizvajalčeve oz. prodajalčeve sfere. Kupec ne

more uveljavljati zahtevkov iz te garancije, če se

ni držal priloženih navodil za sestavo in uporabo

izdelka ali, če je izdelek kakorkoli spremenjen

ali nepravilno vzdrževan.

8. Jamčimo servisiranje in rezervne dele za mini-

malno dobo, ki je zahtevana s strani zakonodaje.

9. Obrabni deli oz. potrošni material so izvzeti iz

garancije.

10. Vsi potrebni podatki za uveljavljanje garan-

cije se nahajajo na dveh ločenih dokumentih

(garancijski list, račun).

11. Ta garancija proizvajalca ne izključuje pravic

potrošnika, ki izhajajo iz odgovornosti proda-

jalca za napake na blagu.
