“Cappuccinatore” is a water heater fitted with an emptying out reservoir which delivers
a timed quantity of steam through an extraction nozzle.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not operate the machine or carry out ordinary maintenance before reading and
understanding the instructions contained in this manual.
The steam delivered by the extractable nozzle is very hot. Do not expose yourself to
the steam jet directly, an incorrect use of the machine may be dangerous.
Do not let children use the machine.
Do not touch the hot surfaces.
Keep the enclosed instructions.
Improper machine use during operation, cleaning or maintenance can cause damage.
Before connecting the machine to the mains, make sure the following conditions are
complied with:
1) Flat, stable horizontal support surface.
To work properly the “Cappuccinatore” machine needs to be positioned on a
sufficiently stable horizontal surface to avoid it tipping up or falling accidentally.
2) Good air circulation.
The “Cappuccinatore” machine gets hot so it must therefore be positioned in a quite
large environment to avoid overheating.
Do not put the machine near electric or gas radiators or inside hot ovens.
CAUTION
Carefully read all the instructions in this manual before using the machine.

3) Suitable Fittings.
The machine “Cappuccinatore” can be connected to a coin box or to an
“Espresso Point” machine predisposed (separately one from the other or
simultaneously); use only appliances suggested by the manufacturing company.
The “Cappuccinatore” machine is designed to function at:
230V 50 Hz (Code M50010) and at 120V 60 Hz (Code M51010)
NEVER insert the machine’s power plug into a socket with a different voltage.
The socket used must be earthed.
Please check the feeder: it must be placed properly on the support surface of the machine
and it mustn’t be put on hot surfaces.
Only components that operate at mains voltage are fitted to the machine. For this reason
NEVER remove the machine’s outer casing or carry out repairs.
Don’t use the machine with a damaged feeder or when the machine doesn’t work
properly. Arrange for repairing the machine before using it again.
Repairs must ONLY be performed by qualified personnel/engineers.
Don’t use the machine outside.
INSTALLATION
Position the machine on a flat, horizontal surface.
Remove the access lid on the right of the tank using the key supplied (Figure 1); release
the central lid (Figure 2), remove the tank (Figure 3) and fill it with drinking water
(preferably with a low lime content).

Power the machine by connecting its lead with the electrical outlet (Figure 4).
Move the switch on the back of the machine to position “I” (Figure 5).
The following LEDs will light up on the front panel (Figure 6):
Lighted red line “presence of tension”
It shows that the machine is under tension.
Flashing orange “Temperature control LED”.
It shows the intervention of the thermostat. It is flashing when the boiler hasn’t
reached the right temperature. It is on and fixed when the boiler has reached
the right temperature.
Flashing green “Water Supply Level LED”
It shows the level supply of water in the tank. If the tank is full the LED will be on.
On the contrary if the level of water is too low, the LED will start flashing.

The “Cappuccinatore” machine can be fitted with a coin box.
It can also be interlocked to an “Espresso Point” machine.
CAUTION
An insufficient quantity of milk for a prolonged time of vaporization may cause
the boiling of the liquid and the consequent overspilling from the container.
During the hot water or vapour supply it is advisable not to go beyond
the time limit of a minute and thirty seconds.
USE OF THE MACHINE
On the upper part of the front panel there are three dosage buttons signalled by built-in
green lights which are usually on and a STOP button, signalled by a red light which is
usually off.
Small amount (steam delivery which lasts thirty seconds).
Advisable for not more than 70 cc of milk.
Medium amount (steam delivery which lasts 60 seconds)
Advisable for 130 cc of milk, not more.
Free amount (steam delivery which lasts 2 minutes).

ARRANGEMENT OF LIME FILTER
The “Espresso Point” machine could be equipped with an engagement lime filter.
If it is present, proceed like it follows:
Main information for safety
Insert the reserve tank and/or lime filter with the machine turned off and disconnected
from the power supply.
Activation
1) Open the bag containing the lime filter.
2) Place the filter in water and keep it there for at least twenty minutes.
Warning
The anti limestone filter catches all the calcium ions in the water, so that its efficacy is
limited in time and strongly affected by the hardness of water to be used. Replace the
filter after 600-800 uses.

Machine with coin box
With this machine, it is necessary to insert some coins to make the steam delivery work.
The green LEDs used to select the amounts, are normally off.
• Insert the money in the coin box and the amount LED buttons will light up.
• Select the amount you want after having removed the delivery device and placed
the cup. The selected button lights up, the others will be off. The red stop button will
light up and the delivery starts immediately.
• Follow the instructions of the previous pharagraph.
The machine can be used only at one price.
If it is connected with an “Espresso Point” machine, the instructions of operating will
depend on the features of the appliance you use, in this case follow the instructions
written on the attached handbook.
CAUTION
Do not expose yourself to the steam jet delivered by the steam device. Avoid
touching the delivery device. There may be danger of burning yourself.
GB
Machine without coin box
Turn round the steam delivery device towards the external,
holding the red lever and pulling it towards oneself (Figure 7).
Dip the steam delivery device inside the cup filled up with
the amount of milk you want. To start the delivery select the
chosen amount pushing gently the corresponding button.
The selected button will light up immediately, conversely the
green LEDs of the other non-selected buttons will be off.
The STOP button, which was off before, will light up now.
If a predetermined amount has been selected, the machine
will deliver the steam and it will stop automatically. It is anyway possible to stop the
delivery in advance, just pushing the STOP button.
If the free amount has been selected, the machine will deliver steam according to the
user’s needs. When the amount of foam you want has been reached, you can push the
STOP button to stop the machine. An automatic timer interrupts anyway the delivery
after two minutes.
If the “Cappuccinatore” machine is connected with an “Espresso Point” machine it can
be used according to the checks written on the appliance chosen:
please follow the instructions given in the corresponding handbook.
The “Cappuccinatore” machine, as steam delivery device, can also be used to heat any
kind of drinks.
Fig. 7
15
CLEANING
To clean the steam delivery device, take off the external tube (figure 8) and unscrewing
the superior ring nut (Figure 9) take out the internal nozzle.
Wash in tepid water the three spare parts (Figure 10).
Clean the outer parts of the machine using a damp cloth only.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use abrasive materials.
If necessary, the tank could be washed in the dishwasher.
Keys to the lid have to be handed to the cleaning and maintenance personnel.
Unplug the machine when cleaning it.
Do not immerse the device in water
to clean it, even partially.
CAUTION
Fig. 8
Fig. 9
Fig. 10
An automatic timer always interrupts the delivery after two minutes.
Whenever there is an interruption to electric power supply, the machine, when the tension
is back, will be completely back to the zero point. For the delivery you have to insert
again a token and select the amount. The flashing LED “Water level” signals that the water
is missing in the tank. If the machine is delivering a drink, the delivery will be completed
but no more drinks are delivered and the coin box will refuse any more tokens, until the
machine is put back to the ordinary conditions of operating.
