11.Grounding or polarization
This product is equipped with a polarized
alternating-current line plug (a plug having
one blade wider than the other). This plug
will fit into the power outlet only one way.

If an outside antenna is connected to the
product, be sure the antenna system is
grounded so as to provide some protection
against voltage surges and built-up static
circuits,or where it can fall into such power
lines or circuits.When installing an outside
antenna system,extreme care should be
taken to keep from touching such power
lines or circuits ax contact with them might
be fatal.

GETTING STARTED
The headphones act as the antenna for both Dab and FM radio so in
order for these modes to function headphones must be fitted
-
- Use only the size and type of battery specified.
Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as
indicated. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device. If the
device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery to
prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage. Do not try to
recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and
rupture.(Follow battery manufacturer s directions.)
INTRODUCTION
CONNECT TO COMPUTER
TRANSFERRING FILES
You can download MP3 files from the internet or use encoding software to
convent music that you have on an audio CD into MP3 format. Once these
files are stored on your computer you can easily copy them to your player.
Connect the computer to your player using the supplied USB cable or just
remove the USB Flash Cover and insert the USB Flash Drive plug into
the USB port on the computer. The unit will turn on automatically.

When connect PC, the MP3 is ON state already ,not need to press any button.

2)When MP3 player connect to PC, it can t play. If you want to listen
songs, must disconnection the USB connect line first.
3)After unfix the USB, the Mp3 will auto turn on , it is normal.
4)If the PC can not find the hardware, please check the connect
method whether right.

1)Please turn off the MP3 before connect PC.

Out of Box Behaviour
Press and hold the POWER key for 2 seconds to turn on the unit.
When the unit is first powered on, a welcome screen will appear for 2 seconds,
this will be followed by a brief message creating new playlist .The unit will then go
straight into DAB mode where it will show now tuning and start scanning for the stations
available as shown below. In the scanning screen the frequency being scanned, the number
of station found and a progress scanning bar will be displayed

If a service list can be found it will tune to the first station in the list.
The next time the unit is powered on, it will return to the last mode left in before it is powered
off. For example if the user turned off the unit when he listened to MP3 music. The unit
automatically returns to Audio Player mode when it is powered on next time.

6.1 Display
AMUSSER units uses a green LED display with 128 x 32 pixels
Graphics/text and ID3Tags can be displayed in a flexible way and some areas can be
customised if required. The icons height is 16 pixels; the width varies for different icons.
For text, one English letter s size is 5x8 pixels. The whole screen consists of 2 lines for
text, 1 line for icons.

6.4 General Operation
The player operates in several main modes which are selected via menus or short cut
keys. The units main modes are

6.4.2 Mode Sub Menu
In each mode pressing the MENU key will bring up the Modes sub menu. This allows you to
access
- any settings necessary for this mode and
- any generic systems settings
Pressing MENU again will remove the menu or if left this will time out after x secs. The table
below shows the lists available within each sub menu. Those items colour in the same text
are same in each mode.

6.4.1 Changing Modes
There are 2 ways of changing modes
1) Toggle the FUNC SELECT short cut key which will take you into DAB, Music, FM
and Voice Playback. Note. This does not include voice record.
2) Press the MENU key to bring up sub menu. The first line is GoTo. When
highlighted press SELECT or NAV RIGHT to access the menu and select the new
mode or operation required.
Note when in the Go To menu FUNC SELECT has no function.

EQ settings can be changed by navigating until option is highlighted and press RIGHT key
or SLECT to enter the EQ menu. Navigate until the desired EQ mode option is highlighted
and press SELECT to confirm. It will return to the previous mode screen. Press LEFT key
to return to the previous Audio Player menu without choosing any EQ mode The EQ
selected will be seen on the bottom right hand corner of the play screen as text. There are
seven play modes: Rock, Jazz, Classic, Pop, Bass, Custom, and Normal.
6.4.2.1 Equalizer
6.4.2.2 Playmode
Play mode can be set by navigating and selecting PLAY MODE. Navigate until the
desired play mode option is highlighted and press
SELECT to confirm. It will return to the normal screen of Audio Player. There are five
play modes: Repeat One, Repeat All, Shuffle, Shuffle&Repeat,and Normal. As the
mode is changed the corresponding icon for the selected play mode will appear on
the top line. For normal mode, there will be no icon.
Play all the songs in the memory. After al songs have been played, it
automatically stops. No icon is displayed
Repeat the currently playing song forever.

In the SELECT PLAY MODE screen, press LEFT key to return to the previous Audio

6.4.2.3 Settings
Within the settings menu there are common features which apply to every mode and these
are described in this section. In addition there are settings specific to each mode and these
are detailed in each relevant mode section.

6.4.2.3.1 Contrast..
In the settings menu, navigate by UP/DOWN key until CONTRAST option is highlighted.
Press SELECT to enter Contrast adjusting screen..
Press UP/DOWN to adjust the contrast level. Press SELECT to confirm the contrast level
and return to settings menu.
6.4.2.3.2 Power Savings
In the settings menu, navigate by UP/DOWN key until POWER SAVINGS option is highlighted.
Press SELECT to enter POWER SAVINGS adjusting screen..
Press UP/DOWN to adjust the power saving settings. Press SELECT to confirm the contrast
level and return to settings menu.
6.4.2.3.3 Record settings
In the settings menu, navigate by UP/DOWN key until RECORD SETTINGS option is
highlighted. Press SELECT to the enter RECORDING SETTINGS screen. The top line will.

Press UP/DOWN to move the highlight item, press SELECT to scroll the value/options.
Press NAV LEFT to exit menu.
6.4.2.3.4 Backlight.
In the settings menu, navigate by UP/DOWN key until BACKLIGHT option is highlighted.
Press SELECT to enter BACKLIGHT adjusting screen..
Press UP/DOWN to adjust the backlight off time. Press SELECT or NAV RIGHT to change
the level. The levels for selection are infinity, 50, 40,30, 20,10, 5 seconds. Press NAV LEFT
to return to menu
6.4.2.3.5 Factory Reset
Selecting factory reset will restore the unit to its factory settings. All files will be deleted.
6.4.2.4 Info
Navigate until INFOoption is highlighted and press SELECT key to enter the Info Menu to
show the software version and the information on how much memory used and how much
memory is left. To remove screen press NAV RIGHT or SELECT alternatively if left the
screen will time out.

6.4.2.5 Delete files
In the menu, navigate until DELETE FILES option is highlighted and press SELECT key to
enter the DELETE FILES Menu. Press SELECT to enter the highlighted function.
6.4.3 KEY LOCK
When the slide switch is set to the lock position in any mode a lock icon will appear on the
top line of display. No keys can used when key lock is set to the lock position
6.4.4 VOLUME
When listening in any mode, volume is controlled using NAVIGATE UP and DOWN key.
When the volume level is changed a volume icon will be seen on the bottom line of the
display for 5 seconds and then disappear.
6.5 DAB MODE
On entering DAB mode from a power on, go to menu or FUNC SELECT, the unit will indicate
now turning if there is no service list stored, the unit will displayed and a screen will appear
indicating the frequencies being checked and the number of stations found.

The unit will then tune to the first station found in the list.
6.5.1 DAB SERVICE ACQUIRED
Once a station/service has been acquired the station name, DLS,signal strength, will be
displayed as shown
6.5.2 DAB Info
Pressing INFO at any time a station is acquired provides the user with additional information.
There are 4 info screens.
6.5.3 DAB Scan
Scan for DAB stations by selecting the scan local and scan full option in the DAB menu.
This is found by pressing the MENU key.
6.5.4 Navigating DAB Services
To access to service list press the NAVIGATE RIGHT button the service list will be shown
as below.The service list can store up to 255 services.
Navigate using up and down untill the station required is highlighted and press select.
The unit will then tune to the service selected. If the station cannot be acquired
station not available will be displayed.
6.5.5 DAB Menu
Pressing MENU will bring up the menu which provides access to a list of features.
NAVIGATE UP and DOWN until the required item is highlighted with the list and press
the OK key.
