Only use an extension cord in per-
fect condition.

Only use the kettle with the correspon-
ding base.

Do not pull out the plug by the cord
or touch it with wet hands.

If the following happens, do not
use the kettle and unplug it imme-
diately:
- the kettle or cord is damaged
- the appliance leaks
- any defect after the appliance has
accidently dropped or something
similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance
repaired.

Do not place the kettle onto hot
surfaces, e. g. hot plate etc. or
near gas flames, it may melt.

Do not place the appliance close to
wet surfaces, as water could
damage it.

The device must not be used under
sensitive furniture since vapours are

Do not operate the appliance un-

Remove it from the base before
filling.

Only fill the kettle with water, not
with milk or coffee etc.

It is important not to overfill the
kettle, or to use it with open lid, as
the boiling water may splash.

During use do not move the appliance
and do not pull at the cord.

Caution:
The appliance will become hot
during use. Scalding danger due to
escaping steam! Only touch the hot
kettle by the handle and do not
open the lid when pouring out.

Always pour out the whole con-
tents of the kettle. Do not leave any
residue of water in the appliance,
as this can cause scaling.

Connect the appliance only to a
shockproof socket that has been
installed according to regulations.
The supply line and power plug
must be dry.

Do not pull the connection cord
over sharp edges or jam it, do not
allow it to hang down and protect it

In case the cord of this appliance is
damaged, it has to be replaced by
an authorised service agent of the
manufacturer or a person having
similar qualifications. Substantial
dangers for the user can appear
from inappropriate repairs.
Putting into operation
Before first use carefully clean the
inside of the kettle. In order to open
the lid press the button located
above the handle. Any of the cord
that is not required can be rolled up
and stowed in the bottom of the
appliance. The cord must be kept
away from the hot kettle. Put the
plug into an earthed socket.
Then close the lid until it locks. If the
lid is not locked, the automatic boil-
stop will not work. Put the kettle on
the base. Only now put the switch
inside the handle to position -1-, the
lamp shows that the device is heating.
The switch does not lock if the
kettle is not put on the base.
The water after the first use of the
appliance is not suitable for the pre-
paration of food.
Due to the construction of the kettle,
some condensation may spill out
from the spout under the bandle onto
the edge of the base. This is due to
technical reasons, the safety is not
restricted.
