CINEMA 6
It’s no secret that the compact, stylish and versatile
Reference Series Satellites are a big hit. Since their
arrival, the Cinema 8 and Cinema 10 home theater
systems have been flying off of store shelves. In order
to build on their success, Klipsch has taken things a step
further with the even smaller and more affordable
Cinema 6 setup.
Made up of four RSX-3s, an RCX-3 and an RW-8
powered subwoofer, the Cinema 6 applies the same
technology and design principles as its larger
counterparts so that it can deliver the unique Klipsch
sound that make these life-style oriented systems best-
sellers. Available in a black or silver finish, the RSX-3 and
RCX-3 are both two-way, magnetically shielded
speakers that employ 3.5-inch aluminum woofers and
0.75-inch titanium-dome compression drivers coupled
to Klipsch’s new round MicroTractrix™ Horns for
maximum clarity and efficiency. These loudspeakers also
feature high-quality network components and top-of-
the-line internal wiring.
The woofers are long-throw units driven by powerful
ceramic magnetic motor structures. The Cerametallic™
cones are lightweight with excellent rigidity, which
dramatically reduces any resonance. As a result, the
RSX-3 and RCX-3 are capable of robust bass extending
low enough for comfortable operation with today

built-in A/V preamp/processor and receiver crossovers.
Both models have integrated pedestal stands with ball
joints that allow them to be adjusted in almost any
direction by using the provided allen wrench. K
eyholes
are provided on the underside of the stand base for no-
hassle wall mounting. Grilles magnetically snap into place
over the front baffles, while sturdy five-way binding
posts ensure secure connection to any type of cable.

vailable in a black wood grain vinyl finish, the RW

employs an 8-inch Cerametallic™cone. As the smallest
subwoofer in the Reference Series line, the RW-8 can

deliver clean, room-rattling bass to below 30Hz. The
driving force behind this performance breakthrough is
Klipsch’s exclusive Corner Port™ Technology. This
technology allows the port tube to be as long as possible
without bending, which minimizes turbulence that can
cause port noise and distortion. It also allows the
enclosure to be tuned to a lower frequency than would
otherwise be possible to create deeper bass from a
smaller cabinet. Another important element is a corner-
shaped flange at the port’s internal opening, which
amplifies the benefits of the longer port.
