STEP1.First,removethesideplatesofthepedestals(bothleftandright).Then
threadthedatacablethroughtherightpedestal.Securethepedestalsby
fasteningtheboltswithwashersasshown.Atthispoint,doNOTtighten
theseboltssecurely.(SeeFig.1.)

Studiesshowthattoachievethe
benefitsofaerobicexercise,itis
necessarytoworkwithinyour
trainingzone.Yourtrainingzone
dependsonyourageandlevelof
fitness.
Theabovechartindicatesthe
recommendedHeartRatetraining
zones(darkenedareaofthechart).
Thesefiguressarecalculatedby
taking220minusyourage,and
calculating80%foryourmaximum
and65%fortheminimumheart
rateforaerobicexercise.
Thedurationofyourexercisesessiondependsonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,itis
recommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast15to20
minutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Beginnersshouldalwaysstartslowlyandbring
theirworkoutsessionsupto20minutesormore.Asyourfitnesslevelincreases,youwill
beabletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlongerperiods:Usually
between20and30minutes.
Whenfirststartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,thenslowly
increaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictrainingzone.Atthe
endofyourworkout,graduallydeceaseyourworkload,thenexerciselightlyasa"cool
down".
Researchindicatestoachievethegreatestbenefits,shouldbeperformed3-5timesa
week.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryourbodytorecover

ADJUSTINGTHEWALKBELT
Foroptimumperformance,thewalkbeltmusttrackinthecenterofthedeck.Failure
toalignthebeltproperlycouldcausethebelttotearorfray,whichisnotcovered
underthewarranty.
Toavoidinjury,specialcaremustbetakenwhenadjustingthewalkbelt.Be
carefultokeepyourfingers,clothesandotherobjectsclearofthebeltand
rollers.Thetreadmillwillnotstopimmediatelyifobjectsbecomecaughtin
thebeltorrollers.Donotallowanyonetostandonthewalkbeltduringthis
procedure.
Pleasefollowthebeltadjustmentprocedurelistedbelow:
1.Determinebeltpositioninrelationtothebeltalignmentgaugeonthewalkdeck.
Theredmarkonthegaugeindicatesmisalignment.Thebeltshouldcenterinthe
middleofthegreenarea.
2.Ifthebeltisintheredmarkoneithersideofthedeck,followthestepsbelowto
alignthewalkbelt.
3.Turnofftheunit.
4.Ifthebeltistoofarleft,usethehexAllenwrenchtoturntheleftadjustmentboltat
therearofthetreadmillclockwise1/4turn.Thenturntherightadjustmentbolt
counterclockwise1/4turn.Turnonthetreadmill.PresstheSPEEDbuttonto
increasethespeeduntilthespeedreaches2.0MPH/3.2KPHonthedisplay.
Inspectbeltalignment.
5.Ifthebelthasnotreturnedtothegreenzone,repeatwithanother1/4turnonboth
sidesuntilthebelthasreturnedtothemiddleofthegreenarea.Donotturnthe
walkbeltadjustmentboltmorethan1/4turnatatime.Ifthebeltisontheedgeof
thegreencolor,turntheadjustmentboltlessthan1/4turnatatimetocenterthe
belt.
6.Ifthebeltistoofarright,turntherightadjustmentboltclockwise1/4turn,then
turntheleftadjustmentboltcounterclockwise1/4turn.Turnonthetreadmill.
