READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Before each use, extend the cord and inspect it for any signs of damage. Do
not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions
or is damaged in any way.
. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces, and positioned where it cannot
be stepped on or tripped over.
3. To avoid the risk of re or electrical shock, do not use an extension cord.
4. Always place the humidier on a rm, at, level, surface that is water-
resistant and non-metallic. Do not place directly on wood furniture or
other surfaces that could be damaged by water. Do not direct cool air mist
directly toward people, walls, or furniture.
5. Always position out of the reach of children.
6. Do not operate outdoors. This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
7. Never operate without water. Turn off unit when tank is empty.
8. Do not move or tilt the humidier while it is operating.
9. Do not add any medications to the water tray, water tank or base.
10. Do not cover any openings, do not drop or insert any objects into any
openings.
11. Do not immerse the base in water or other liquid, or allow it to get wet. Do
not pour water into any part except the water tank.
1. Always turn the humidier off before unplugging it. Always unplug before
removing the water tank or moving the unit. When moving or lifting the
tank, place one hand on the handle and the other on the bottom of the
tank.
13. Always unplug, empty, and clean the humidier when it is not in use.
14. Do not leave the humidier unattended in a closed room because the air
could become saturated, and condensation could form on walls or
furniture. (Leave door partly open.)
15. Regular cleaning required. Please refer to and follow cleaning instructions.
16. This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

To Assemble
Before you begin: Be sure to remove all packing materials.
1. Insert water tray into base, making sure that it
is securely seated.
. Place the lter in the water tray, as shown.
3. Turn the tank cap counterclockwise to unlock.
Lift the cap off and set it aside. Fill the tank
with COOL, not hot, tap water.
Note: To prolong lter life, use distilled or
deionized water.
4. Replace the cap and turn clockwise to lock.

1. Select a location for the base:
• Choose a at, level, water-resistant surface that is non-metallic and is in a
spot that has good air circulation. An inside wall near and electrical outlet is
often convenient.
• The humidier should be placed where the cord will not present a tripping
hazard.
• It should be out of the reach of children.
• Leave at least 36 inches (90cm) between the [front] of the humidier and
any walls or furnishings.
• Be sure air intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
Poor air ow could result in poor performance, moisture
damage, and/or the build-up of mildew and other micro-
organisms.
. Position the tank on the base:
• Turn the tank over; hold it by the carry handle, and set it in
place on the base.
• Carefully align the cap with the receptacle in the water
tray; if necessary move the tank slightly until you can feel
that it is properly seated.
• Some water will ow out of the tank and into the water tray.
Important:
• Always be certain the tank cap is locked before turning the water tank over.
• Once the humidier has been lled, do not tilt or move it. To reposition the
humidier, remove the water tank, and unplug it rst.
• Never pour water into the air intake or exhaust vents.
NEVER USE THE HUMIDIFIER WITHOUT THE FILTER IN PLACE.
3. Once the water tank is in place, plug the cord into a wall
socket.
Note: To reduce electrical interference, do not plug into the same
outlet as TVs, baby monitors or cordless phones.
4. Turn the fan speed dial clockwise to turn the unit on and to
increase humidity more quickly (setting number ). Turn it
counterclockwise to increase humidity more gradually, (setting
number 1) and for quieter operation, especially at night.
The power indicator will light when the humidier is on.
Important:
• Rell the tank as needed to maintain adequate water level.
• Never allow the humidier to remain on when the tank is empty.
• To prolong lter life, turn the lter over each time you ll the water tank.
• Replace the lter when it displays any stains or becomes stiff and non-
absorbent.
Reminder: Turn off and then unplug unit before cleaning.

To clean base: Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe dry.
To clean tank, tank cap and water tray:
Daily cleaning is necessary for proper operation of the humidier and to
prevent the build-up of bacteria, mildew and other micro-organisms.
1. Turn off and unplug the humidier.
. Remove and empty the water tank.
3. Rinse tank thoroughly, and rell with cool, clear tap water.
4. Remove water tray and rinse thoroughly to remove any sediment. Wipe
clean, and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel, and replace in unit.
5. To prolong lter life, turn the lter over each time you ll the water
tank.
Weekly cleaning: A more thorough cleaning is required weekly and before
storing the unit.
Water tray:
To remove the crusty white mineral deposits that can be caused by hard
water:
1. Prepare a solution of one-half gallon water and 4 oz. undiluted white
vinegar.
. Partially ll the tray with this solution. Allow to stand 0 minutes,
swirling every few minutes to wet all inner surfaces. Scrub with a soft
brush; then wipe with a damp cloth, and rinse thoroughly.
Tank and tank cap:
1. Prepare a solution of one gallon water and one teaspoon chlorine
bleach.
. Fill the tank with the bleach water solution, replace ller cap, and let
stand for 0 minutes, swirling the water around in the tank every few
minutes to wet all inner surfaces.
3. Empty the tank, rinse tank and cap thoroughly until no bleach smell is
noticeable. Allow to air dry.
To store:
If the humidier will not be used for at least two weeks:
1. Unplug the humidier.
. Empty the water tank and water tray.
3. Discard the lter. DO NOT leave it in the unit.
4. Follow the weekly cleaning instructions above. Be certain all parts are
COMPLETELY DRY.
5. Place the humidier in the original box and store in a cool, dry place.
6. Install a new lter before using again

The tank leaks. The rubber gasket in the
tank cap may be loose,
missing, or damaged.

Be certain the tank cap gasket is

Do not use the humidier without

Check the washer to be sure it is
intact and in place.
Water Tray does not

Tank may not be correctly
seated on the base.
Check to be sure that the cord or
some other object is not caught
between the tank and the base. If
not, wiggle the tank slightly. If it is
rmly in place, it should not shift
position.
Tank cap is difcult to
remove.
A vacuum may have formed
inside the tank, especially if
it has been left in place for
an extended time.
Press on the rubber washer in the
middle of the tank cap to relieve
any vacuum.

Suggestions for Preventing Choking in Infants
and Young Children
• Hot Dogs: Remove skin, cut twice—across and lengthwise.
• Grapes: Peel and cut in half.
• Apples: Peel and cut into thin slices.
• Peanut Butter Sandwich: Use crackers or coarse bread instead of soft
white bread.
• Carrots: Cook them.
• Fruits with Seed: Remove seeds.
• Cherry Tomatoes: Peel, cut into fourths.
• Carefully examine all toys for eyes, buttons and small parts that may
be pulled off; do not allow children to play with such toys.
• Do not leave coins or small objects within a child’s reach.
• Never give children younger than ve peanuts, popcorn or hard candy.
• Never prop up a bottle for an infant to drink alone.
• Cut food into small pieces.
• Regularly check oors, rugs and other places for pins, coins and
small objects.
• Make sure you chew and swallow each bite.
• Do not stuff your mouth with food.
• Sit while eating; do not eat while running, walking or riding in a car.
