“Today is the day of the important lion competition!” trumpets the ele-
phant. While the monkeys collect their betting slips, the giraffes stretch
out their necks; a whole gaggle of lions are preparing them-
selves at the starting line. Each of them wants to reach the
target line first and thus become the new king of the ani-
mals. Cheered by the zebras and snakes, the leopard
gives the starting signal ... and the race through the
savannah begins.

Game Idea
The aim of the game is to reach the lion
temple first.
Whoever is the first to spot the animal cards
corresponding to the animals on the dice, moves his lion ahead one
square on the track through the savannah.

Preparation of the Game
Assemble the game board.
Each player takes a lion figure and the three lion cards of the same color.
She places the lion on the first square of the game board and the lion
cards in front of her on the table.
Spread the 20 animal cards randomly on the table, face-up.They should
be within easy reach of everybody. Get both dice ready.
How to Play
You play simultaneously.The oldest player takes rolls both dice.
Now things get fiery! As quickly as you can, cover the right animal cards
with your lion cards.The dice will show which animal cards are the right
ones.
Which animals appear on the dice?
Two different animals?
Quick, quick! There are three animal cards showing the animals
appearing on the dice.Try to spot them as quickly as you can and
cover them with your lion cards. When you are finished, the scoring is
done.
Two identical animals?
Full speed ahead! In this case there is only one animal card showing
the animals appearing on the dice.
As soon as this card has been covered, the scoring is done.

Important: There can only be one animal card on a lion card at the
time. Once a player has placed their lion card on an animal card, they
may not take it back or move it.
Scoring of the round
The right animal cards have been covered?
Fierce playing! For each correctly placed lion card a player can move
his lion one square closer towards the lion temple.
The wrong animal cards have been covered?
For each misplaced lion card the players have to move their lion back
one square on the track. If the lion stands at the start, nothing
happens.
New Round
The players place their lion cards in front of them. The dice are passed on
in a clockwise direction and a new round starts.
End of the Game
The player whose lion reaches the lion temple first, wins this lionlike
game.
If multiple players reach the lion temple at the same time, then they
should roll the dice again to decide who wins the game.The scores of
both dice are added follows:
elephant = 6 points
giraffe = 5 points
leopard = 4 points
zebra = 3 points
monkey = 2 points
snake= 1 point
The player with the highest score wins the game. In the event of a draw
they roll the dice again.

„Vandaag een grote leeuwenwed-
strijd!“, trompettert de olifant. Terwijl
de apen de laatste wedbriefjes verzamelen,
strekken de giraffes al vol spanning hun nekken uit.
Aan de startstreep staat dadelijk een troep jonge leeuwen klaar. Allemaal
willen ze als winnaar over de eindstreep gaan en zo de nieuwe koning
der dieren worden. Begeleid door het gejuich van de zebra's en het gesis
van de slangen geeft het jachtluipaard het startsein. En dan gaat de
hardloopwedstrijd door de savanne van start.

Spelidee
Wie als eerste de dierkaarten vindt die bij de gedobbelde diercombinatie
horen, mag zijn leeuw over het savanneparcours vooruit zetten. Het doel
van het spel is met zijn/haar leeuw als eerste de leeuwentempel te
bereiken.

Chi per primo ha messo una carta-leone su una carta-animale non può
spostarla o riprenderla in mano!

Avete coperto la carta corretta degli animali?
Bravissimi! Per ogni carta coperta correttamente, il giocatore può
avanzare il suo leone di una casella-savana dirigendosi verso il tempio
del leone. Se un leone è al via, non succede nulla!
Avete coperto la carta sbagliata?
Per ogni carta sbagliata il giocatore deve retrocedere il suo leone di
una casella-savana in direzione del via. Se il leone è sul via, non
succede nulla!
Nuovo giro
Ogni giocatore rimette la sua carta del leone davanti a sé. I dadi passano
al giocatore che segue in senso orario ed ha inizio un nuovo giro.
Conclusione del gioco
Vince questo gioco il primo che raggiunge il tempio del leone.
Nel caso più giocatori raggiungano contemporaneamente il tempio del
leone, il vincitore verrà scelto lanciando i dadi. Ognuno dei vincitori tira i
dadi e conta i punti dei due dadi come segue:
elefante = 6 punti
giraffa = 5 punti
ghepardo = 4 punti
zebra = 3 punti
scimmia = 2 punti
serpente = 1 punto
Vince chi ha più punti. In caso di parità si lanceranno i dadi ancora una
volta.
