tie down sys tem for the rear seats. These re tainer bush ing’s should also be in spected for
miss ing or de fec tive ny lon grom mets used in the origi nal con figu ra tion.

IN TRO DUC TION: Ramp in spec tions at some air ports have found the ny lon grom mets miss ing or bro -
ken from shoul der har ness re tainer bush ings on sev eral model air craft. Un au thor ized re pairs us ing ty-
raps have been found. The Ty- rap’s lock ing tab may pre vent the re straint buckle from prop erly snap ping
into po si tion or may cre ate dif fi cul ties in re leas ing the re straint buckle in an emer gency. The in tent of this
SB is to pro vide in for ma tion for in spec tion and cor rectly re pair ing any de fec tive re tainer bush ing grom -
met that may have failed.
