What is MusicSoft Manager?
MusicSoft Manager allows you to conveniently manage the songs and styles used by digital musical instruments and other similar files on your iPod touch, iPhone, or
iPad. Not only can you rename and delete these files, but you can also transfer them between your device, your computer, and your digital musical instrument. What’s
more, MusicSoft Manager also provides support for the online file hosting service, Dropbox.
NOTE
For details on connecting to digital musical instruments, refer to
the iPhone & iPad Connection Manual, which can be downloaded
from http://download.yamaha.com/.
NOTE
• Use the cable that came with your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to
connect it to your computer.
• Ensure that iTunes is installed on the computer to which your iPod
touch, iPhone, or iPad will be connected. NOTE
Offering cloud storage and file synchronization, Dropbox is a file
hosting service operated by Dropbox Incorporated. Registered
users can share files between multiple computers and mobile
devices via online storage.

NOTE
• Depending on the connected musical instrument, you
can not make a folder to the Instrument device.
• You can not make a folder to the Computer device.

Deleting les or/and folders:
1. Tap [Select] in the top-right corner.
2. Select the les and/or folders you wish to delete.
3. Tap [Delete].
4. Tap [OK] to conrm.
Your files and/or folders will now be deleted.
NOTE
If you do not wish to proceed with deletion in step 4, tap [Cancel].
Moving or copying les and/or folders:
1. Tap [Select] in the top-right corner.
2. Select the les and/or folders you wish to move or copy.
3. Tap [Move] or [Copy].
4. Select the destination device and folder.
5. Tap [Move Here] or [Copy Here] as appropriate to move or copy the
selected les and/or folders.
Your files and/or folders will now be moved or copied.
NOTE
• If you do not wish to proceed with moving or copying in step 5, tap [Cancel].
• Moving folder is not supported.
• Protected file is indicated with a key mark on the file icon.
Protected file can not be copied and can be moved only between the MusicSoft Manager and the
musical instrument.
Copying les and/or folders from your computer to
MusicSoft Manager:
1. Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer using the
cable that came with it.
2. Launch iTunes on your computer.
3. Select your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad from the Devices section of
iTunes, click the Apps tab, scroll down to the File Sharing section, and
select MusicSoft Manager to open the le sharing list.
4. Drag the les and/or folders you wish to copy from your computer into
the le sharing list.
Your files and/or folders will now be copied to the Computer device in MusicSoft
Manager.
Copying les and/or folders from MusicSoft Manager
to your computer:
1. In MusicSoft Manager, copy the les and/or folders you wish to transfer
to the Computer device.
2. Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer using the
cable that came with it.
3. Launch iTunes on your computer.
4. Select your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad from the Devices section of
iTunes, click the Apps tab, scroll down to the File Sharing section, and
select MusicSoft Manager to open the le sharing list.
5. Drag the les copied in Step 1 from the le sharing list to your computer.
Your files and/or folders will now be copied to your computer.
