Amplifiersaregenerallymountedinthehatch/trunkareaofacarorSUV,and

underorbehindtheseatofmostpickuptrucks.Selectalocationthatwill

provideadequateventilationfortheamplifier.Avoidmountingtheamplifier

withthefinsfacingdown.Thefinsshouldbefacingup,eitherverticallyor

horizontally.Securetheamplifierwiththescrewsprovided.

Beforesecuringtheamplifier,inspectthemountinglocationcarefullyto

ensurethatyoudonotdrillintoordamageanyelectrical,hydraulic,fluid,or

fuellines.

filteredout.Likewiseasubwooferwillnotsoundnaturalifitisplayingmidrange

notes.Acrossoverremovesthesesoundsfromthespeaker.Asyoumightguess,

carefuladjustmentinneedtoensure

thatallthespeakersareplayingthe

rightsoundsandthatyouareleftwith

noholesorlowspotsinthe

frequencyresponse.

1.Beforeyoustartdisconnectthenegativecablefromthecarbattery

Tapeuptheendsoitisisolatedfromthebattery.

2.Runanappropriategaugewirefromthebatterytotheamplifier.Planthis

partoftheinstallationcarefully.thiscablewillcarryveryhighcurrent.Ifit

shouldshorttothebodyanditisnotproperlyfuseditcouldcatchfire.

3.Connectthepowerwiretothebatteryusingafusecapableofthe

totalcurrentloadofallamplifiersconnected

Waituntiltheendlocatethefuseascloseaspossibletothe

batteryIfthefuseisfurtherthatincheswirelengthfromthe

batteryyoushouldreevaluatethewireandfuseplacement.

4.Findtheclosestclearmetalareatotheampforaground.sand,grindor

scrapeallpaintandundercoatingfromthebodyandscrewtheground

securelyinplace.

5.Runthespeakerwiretothespeakers.Itisadvisedthatyouleavesome

extrawireatthispoint.Youcancleanituplater.

6.Ifyouhaventalreadydoneso,mounttheampnow.

7.Connectthepowerandgroundtotheamplifier.

8.Connecttheremotewirefromtheheadunittotheamplifier.Nowisa

goodtimetoturnontheampforthefirsttime.Makesureitturnson

properlyanddoesnotgointoprotection.

atatime.ItmaytakesometimetogetthesystemfullyadjustedDuring

thistimetheampisdrawingcurrentfromthebatteryYoushould

checkthebatteryvoltagefromtimetotimeandrechargeitifitgets
