TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
ThisdevicecomplieswithRSS-210ofIndustryCanada.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)thisdevice
may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired
operation of the device.

2.ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuanttoPart15of
theFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.Howeverthereisnoguarantee
that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna,Increasetheseparation
between the equipment and receiver, Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver

PROBLEM POSSIBLEREMEDIES
Fanwillnotstart • Checkthemaincircuitfuses,circuitbreakers,andwallswitchposition.
Checkallwireconnections.Makesurethepoweristurnedoffduringthis
inspection.
• Pinconnectorsarenotmakinggoodcontact.Checkallconnections.
• Thefanreceiverisdefective.Replacethefanreceiver.
• Resetthefrequencysetting:Turnthepoweroffatthecircuitbreaker
forthefanthatisnotfunctioningonly.Within20secondsfromrestoring
powertotheceilingfanandtheW-85WallControlpressandholdboth
the“Fan”and“REVERSE”buttonsasshowninFigure#2for3seconds,
you will hear one tone from the Piezo Buzzer indicating the command
hasbeenaccepted.TheFanwillcomeonat“low”speedinthereverse
direction.
Fanwobblesorshakesexcessively • Besurethecanopypinissetproperlyintotheslotontheball.
• Checkthatthebladeholdershavenotbeenbentduringinstallationand
the blades are balanced.
• Thehanger bracket and/ortheceiling outletareattached too loosely.
Makesurethehangerbracketisattachedtightlytotheceilingoutletbox
andthedownrodassemblyissecuredrmly.
• Thedownrodisattachedtothedownrodbasetooloosely.Makesureall
the screws are securely tightened.
Fanisnoisyduringoperation • Whenchangingfanspeeds,youmayhearseveralaudibleclicks.Thisis
normal operation.
• Checkandtightenthelightxtureretainingscrews,glassshadescrews,
and/or lightbulb(s).
• Tighten the canopy screws and mounting plate assembly. Make sure
the wire nuts inside the canopy and switch housing are not touching the
metal parts and that they have not fallen off the wire splices. Tighten as
necessary.
• Tightenthebladeholderstotheywheel(orDirectDrivemotor)andthe
blades to the bladeholder screws.
• Makesureallthescrewsinthemotorhousingaresnugbutnotoverly
tight.
Fandoesnotrunonlowspeed • Iffanisnew,itmayneedtobe“brokenin.”Runathighspeedforseveral
days.
