Consider the following before you install the driver:
If you want to use the RocketRAID controller for primary storage you will need to
make sure the bootable partition is less than 2TB. You will need to have the Windows
8 driver put on a USB, CD disc, or DVD disc.
If you want to use the RocketRAID controller as secondary storage download the
latest drivers from the HighPoint website and follow the steps below.
Perform the following steps to install the Windows 8 driver.
1. Boot the Microsoft Windows 8 OS and then move the mouse to the upper or lower-
right corner of the screen to expose the desk icons for Search, Share, Start, Devices
and Settings:

2. Click on Settings.
3. On the Settings Bar, click on Control Panel.

4. In the Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound:

5. In Hardware and Sound, click Device Manager under the heading Devices and
Printers.

6. In the Device Manger, expand the sub-menu under Storage Controllers and right-
click Update Driver Software.

7. In the Update Driver Software wizard, select Browse My Computer to locate the
updated driver.
8. When the driver is found, click Install to confirm.

9. The installation wizard presents progress screens and announces the completion of
the installation.
10. After the driver is installed, reboot the system.
