Lamp replacement procedure

Turn power off, wait until power
indicator stops blinking red, then
unplug the power cord from the wall
outlet and confi rm that the area around
the lamp unit has cooled down.
• Please wait more than one hour for lamp
replacement.
[If you need to replace the lamp more urgently]
• The Projection display has a forced cooling
feature. After the POWER button is turned OFF,
and during the fi rst minute of the normal cooling
fan operation, press the VOL+ button on the
projection display and ▲ button on the remote
control at same time for more than 5 seconds. The
cooling fan operates for about 10 minutes. The
LAMP indicator fl ashes red 5 times every 5
seconds.

Loosen the Lamp cover screw.
First read caution and warning labels
on lamp cover. Then, loosen the lamp
cover screw by using a screwdriver.

Loosen the lamp unit screw with a
screwdriver. Then, grasp the lamp unit
as shown in the diagram, and slowly
remove from the projection display.
• Do not drop, as the impact of dropping may cause
the lamp to explode.

Remove the Front cover. Place your
fi ngertips under the Front cover and
pull it from the projection display.

Replace the Lamp unit and cover
screws. Tighten the lamp unit/cover
screw with a screwdriver.
• Properly dispose of old lamp.
Attach the lamp unit and lamp unit housing door
securely. If the lamp unit and lamp unit housing
door are not attached securely, the protective
circuit will be activated and the lamp will not turn
on.

Replace the Front cover.

Insert the new lamp unit being careful
of the insertion direction.
• Press on the arrow mark making sure insertion is
done correctly.

Lamp time reset procedure
1
Be sure the power cord is plugged into
a properly grounded wall outlet. Then,
press the POWER button on the projection
display or the remote control to turn the
unit on.
Warning:
Perform lamp time reset only when the lamp has
been replaced.
When lamp time reset is fi nished, the LAMP
indicator goes out.

After lamp replacement,

While pressing the VOL- button on
the projection display, hold down the
PIP button on the remote control at
same time for more than 5 seconds.

CAUTION:
[Under no circumstance should you touch the
actual bulb.]
At this high operating temperature the natural oil
on your fi nger can cause the glass to weaken
where touched and the bulb can crack or explode.
CAUTION:
Because of the possibility of injury, strictly follow the
replacement procedure below.

Marche à suivre pour le remplacement de la lampe

Coupez le contact et attendez que
le voyant d’alimentation cesse de
clignoter en rouge. Ensuite, débranchez
le cordon d’alimentation de la prise
de courant et assurez-vous que les
pièces entourant la lampe ne sont plus
chaudes.
• Veuillez attendre plus d’une heure avant de
procéder au remplacement de la lampe.
[Dans le cas où il est nécessaire de remplacer
la lampe sans attendre.]
• L’écran de projection est muni d’un système de
refroidissement forcé. Après avoir mis l’appareil
hors marche, et au cours de la première minute de
fonctionnement du ventilateur, appuyez
simultanément sur la touche VOL+ de l’écran de
projection et sur la touche ▲ de la télécommande
et maintenez-les enfoncées pendant plus de 5
secondes. Le ventilateur tournera pendant environ
10 minutes. Le voyant de la lampe clignote en
rouge 5 fois toutes les 5 secondes.

Desserrez la vis de fi xation du
couvercle de la lampe. Lisez
d’abord les mises en garde apposées
sur le couvercle. Ensuite, au moyen d’un
tournevis, desserrez la vis de fi xation du
couvercle.

Avec un tournevis, desserrez la vis
du bloc de la lampe. Puis, tenant la
lampe de la manière illustrée, retirez-la
lentement.
• Évitez d’échapper ou de heurter la lampe ; celle-ci
pourrait exploser.

Retirez le couvercle avant. Insérez
les doigts sous le couvercle avant puis
retirez-le de l’écran de projection.

Remettez en place le couvercle
avant. Resserrez les vis avec un
tournevis.
• Disposez de la lampe usée de la manière
appropriée.
Fixez solidement le bloc de la lampe et la porte
du boîtier de la lampe. Autrement, le circuit de
protection s’activera et la lampe ne pourra être
mise sous tension.

Remettez en place le couvercle
avant.

Introduisez la lampe de rechange en
prenant soin de l’insérer dans le bon
sens.
• Appuyez sur la pièce
identifi ée par la fl èche
pour vous assurer que
l’insertion est faite
convenablement.
■
Réarmement de la lampe

Assurez-vous que le cordon
d’alimentation est branché dans une
prise avec retour à la terre. Appuyez
ensuite sur l’interrupteur “POWER”
de l’écran de projection ou sur la
télécommande pour mettre l’appareil sous
tension.
Attention:
Le réarmement de la lampe ne doit se faire que
lors de son remplacement.
Après la fi n du réarmement de la lampe, le voyant
de la lampe s’éteint.

Après avoir remplacé la lampe,
suivez les étapes ci-dessous.

Appuyez simultanément sur la touche
VOL- de l’écran de projection et sur la
touche PIP de la télécommande et
maintenez-les enfoncées pendant plus de
5 secondes.
ATTENTION:
[Ne jamais toucher l’ampoule.]
En raison de la haute température de
fonctionnement de l’ampoule, les huiles naturelles
sur vos doigts pourraient atténuer la résistance du
verre de l’ampoule et ainsi provoquer une fi ssure
ou une explosion.
ATTENTION:
Afi n d’éviter tout risque de blessure, suivez
attentivement ces instructions.
