Warnings for your safety. Carefully read
these instructions before installing and
using the machine
m This freezer is designed to be operated by adults
only. Children should not be allowed to tamper
with the controls or play with the product.
m Any electrical work required to install the appliance
should be carried out by a qualified electrician or
competent person.
m This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken
when moving it.
m Make sure that the cable is not trapped underneath
the appliance, nor touches the motor.
m Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may
cause injuries or serious malfunctioning. Refer to
the nearest Authorized Dealer.
m Make sure the rear part of the appliance stands
against a wall as there are working parts which
heat up and should not be of easy access.
m Make sure that there is a continous and adequate
ventilation as a failure to do so may result in dama-
ge to the appliance or deterioration of the food.
m The appliance should be left for at least 4 hours
after installation before it is turned on ill order to
allow the refrigerant to settle.
m This product must be serviced only by a AUTHO-
RIZED DEALER, and only GENUINE SPARE
PARTS must be employed.
m Before cleaning or reparing the appliance, make
sure it is unplugged.
m It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify
this product in any way.
m These domestic refrigerators are designed to be
used specifically for the storage and conservation
of food.
m DO NOT USE SHARP INSTRUMENTS to scrap off
frost or ice. Frost may be removed by using a plas-
tic scraper. (See defrosting instructions).
m Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been
thawed out.
m Manufacturers storage recommendations should
be strictly complied with.
m Lollies can cause frost burns if consumed right
away from the freezer.
m Do not place carbonate or fizzy drinks in the free-
zer as these may explode.
m When and old freezer is to be discarded make sure
to:
m Dismount the doors in order to prevent children
from getting trapped inside.
Have the gas from the cooling system with-
drawn before making it to scrap iron.

Positioning
Place the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and
heat sources.
Maintain recommended ventilation see Fig. 1.
Make sure the refrigerator is accurately levelled tur-
ning the adjustable feet in order to avoid vibrations
and noises. Fig. 2.
This is a built in design to be aligned with other fur-
niture.
The appliance must be located in places of maxi-
mum temperature as follows:
+ 32°C for N Class, classification on identifiying
plate.
+ 43°C for T Class, classification on identifiying
plate.
If the temperatures are higher than these both above
mentioned, the functions of appliance could result
reduce.
Cleaning the interior
Do not use alcohol or any cleanig product contai-
ning alcohol because it can damage the cabinet.
Before using the appliance for the first time wash the
interior whith luke warm water and some neutral
soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-
new product arid then dry thoroughly.
Do not use detergents or abrasive powders as these
will damage the finish.
Remove security used for transportation.
Electrical connection
m Before plugging the appliance make sure that the
voltage and frequency shown on the «Technical
Features» correspond to your home spply.
m It is essention that the appliance be efficiently
earthed.
For this purpose the supply cable plug incorpora-
tes a special earth contact. If the sockets of your
domestic wiring system are not grounded, have
the appliance connected to a separate ground wire
in accordance with existing safety regulations.

Starting-up
Plug the appliance into the mains.
Make sure the inner light «H» turns on when opening
the door.
Turn to intermediate position the knob of the «tem-
perature regulator» «A» for refrigerating compart-
ment and «B» for freezing compartment.

If you wish to change the opening side of the doors
proceed as follows:
Remove the handles of the doors, if they are side
fixing by screws (1).
Take off the plinth pressed onto cabinet. (In some
models) (2).
Remove the lower hinge taking care for the lower
door not to fall off (3). Using a 10mm spanner, uns-
crew the hinge pin and reassemble it on the oppo-
site side.
Lift the lower door off the central hinge (4).
Remove the central hinge taking care for the upper
door no to fall off and not to lose the plastic washer
(5).
Take the upper door off the upper hinge. Be carefull
not to lose the plastic washer (6).
Unscrew the plastic plugs located on the opposite
side of the central hinge and introduce them in the
holes occupied before by the hinge (7).
Unscrew the axle of the upper hinge and screw it
into the hinge on the opposite side. Make sure to fit
in the metal washer for blocking (8).
Place upper door.
For the remaining parts proceed the other way round.
Once finished make sure that all joints close per-
fectly well all around the door and check that the
internal light turns of when the fridge door closes.
How to panel the door
If your appliance is provided with metal strips for
panelling and you wish to do so proceed as follows:
Remove one of the side strips.
Loosen the screws of the remaining strips.
Start putting on the panel where you took off the
strip pushing it right up to the end.
Replace the strip on this side.
Tighten all screws.
NOTE: The panel dimensions must be 2 mm. shorter
than the doors. Maximun thickness of the
panel is 4 mm.

Temperature Regulator for Refrigerator:
«A»
Allows to adjust the temperature inside the refrigerator
according to use and external conditions.
Pos. 1 = Minimum cold
Pos. 6 = Maximum cold
Pos. 0 = Motor disconnected
Temperature Regulator for Freezer: «B»
Allows to adjust the temperature inside the freezer
according to use and external conditions.
Pos. 1 = Minimum cold
Pos. 6 = Maximum cold
Pos. 0 = Motor disconnected
Green light: «K» (Some models only).
This light is on when the fridge thermostat is set to
working position (1 to 6). It will turn off if the thermos-
tat is changed to stop position «0».
Orange light: «L» (Some models only).
Indicates that the freezer is on freezing mode (S).
Red light: «M» (Some models only).
When lighted indicates abnormal temperature condi-
tions in the freezer, but for the exceptions appearing
on Page «Freezing of Food» and Page «Something not
working».
Fridge green light: «P» (Some models only).
This light is on when the fridge thermostat is set to
working position (1 to 6). It will turn off if the thermos-
tat is changed to stop position «0».
Interior light: «H»
Comes on when opening the door of the refrigeration
compartment and shuts off when you close the refri-
gerator compartment.
When changing the light bulb, first remove the protec-
tive cover «X», by firmly holding the edge and pulling
it horizontally. (see point 3 «IF SOMETHING DOES
NOT WORK»).

Freezer Compartment:
This freezer, marked , is suitable for
freezing food and permits long term storage of fro-
zen food.
Freezing of food:
Congelation has to take place in the shortest pos-
sible time, 24 hours maximum. For that you have to
proceed as follows:
Push the button «N» to freeze fresh food.
If the freezer was disconnected and empty, 3
hours before introducing the food to be frozen.
If the freezer is already working and has food in it,
24 hours before putting in the food to be frozen.
The maximum amount to be frozen in 24 hours is
that specified in «Technical Features».
Put the food to be frozen into lower compartment of
freezer. The tray at the top can also be used for this
purpose.
Red light «M» may be on for a few hours during fre-
ezing process.
Switch-on time for this light will vary according to
amount of food being put in for congelation and
time while door remains open.
Once 24 hours from the introduction of the food
have elapsed the congelation can be considered as
finished.
Push the button «N» again in order to set the
appliance back to «conservation» mode.
Conservation of frozen food:
For a safe storage of food the temperature inside the
freezer compartment should never rise above -
18°C.
An automatic device regulates this temperature.
Make sure the «Temperature Regulator» is in a
medium setting.
However, it may sometimes be necessary (due to
poor ventilation, high room temperature, frequent
opening of the door) to vary the setting of the
«Temperature Regulator».
In case of an accidental stop of the appliance or a
power cut proceed as follows:
Keep the doors closed at all events.
Try to find out for how long the failure is goint to last.
Once normality is reestablished:
A) If the freezer is full and the power failure is less
than «Temperature Rising Time» indicated for
each model in «Technical Features» no damage
has been done to the food store.
B) If the freezer is not full the cold will be lost in a
shorter time If thawing has not yet started proce-
ed as said in previous point.
C) If thawing has started, consume the food inme-
diately, or cook it and then freezen it again.
Refrigerator Compartment:
This compartment is meant for keeping drinks and
fresh food.
The inner temperature is quite equalized. Avoid
food touching inner walls, as the cold is being pro-
duced in there and the food could partly get frozen.
On the other hand this would prevent a good circula-
tion of the cold air.
This appliance is provided with an automatic defros-
ting divice. Therefore you might find sometimes a fine
layer of ice or water drops.
Useful Hints:
Do not introduce any new food during a freezing
period.
Do not put any newly introduced food for freezing
near to already frozen food.
Wrap the food up properly or place it in hermethic
recipies before introducing it into the freezer.
Do not introduce any hot food into the freezer.
Food and drinks of a strong flavour may pass this
on to others and affect their flavour. Wrap them up
adequately or put them into tight closing bags.
Follow the instructions given in the cook books,
freezing books and wrapping utensiles for better
conservation of food.

Prior to undertaking any maintenance operation,
be sure to unplug the appliance.
Defrosting of the freezer
The inner walls of the freezer become gradually cove-
red with a layer of frost keeping in mind not to open
the door frequently and keeping the food wrapped up
in closed bags.
Whenever the thickness of ice reaches 5 mm. the frost
should be removed. Hereto proceed as follows:
Remove all food staff and place it in the coolest pos-
sible place.
Place the Plastic Scraper (supplied with the applian-
ce) into the existing slot above the plinth.
Place a bowl under the outlet to collect the water.
Pull out the drawers and the upper tray.
Under no circumstances should you try and tear off
the ice formed, wait for it to melt away.
Once the ice eliminated and the appliance is clean
and dry, remove the plastic scraper and replace the
drawers and the upper tray.
Plug in the appliance.

Defrosting of the refrigerator
Frost is automatically eliminated in the refrigerator.
Clean regularly the water drain opening «G», with its
accessory.
Cleaning
Do not use alcohol or any cleaning product contai-
ning alcohol because it can damage the cabinet.
Use lukewarm water and neutral soap or bicarbona-
te of soda for cleaning the interior and the exterior of
the appliance. Never use detergents nor abrasive
powders.
Clean the black grill on the read of the appliance
(condenser), motor and the upper and downer ven-
tilation slots with a brush or vacuum cleaner. This
way the performance of the appliance will improve
and energy consumption reduced.
Clean the water container above the motor.
Idle periods
During periods when the appliance is not in use take
the following precautions:
Unplug the appliance.
Remove all the food.
Defrost and clean the interior and all accessories.
Leave the door ajar to permit the air to circulate in
the interior and thus avoid unpleasant smells.

1. Temperature Regulator
May cause cracking sounds when the system con-
nects or disconnects.
2. Refrigerating system
The gas used for cooling may produce a burbling
sound while running through the piping.
3. Compressor
May cause zumbing noises and/or slight bumping.
4. Insulation
The material used has a tendency to increase noises,
but it does insulate perfectly and is of low energy con-
sumption.
