The charger recognises the modes suitable for the battery type. Therefore not
every mode can be selected for every battery.
After selecting a mode the charger implements it. If a battery remains attached
to the charger once charging is complete, the charger automatically switches to
trickle charging. The battery is also trickle charged if another mode is selected.
6.4.1. Mode 1 (6 V to max. 14 Ah batteries)
Set this mode to charge 6 V lead acid batteries with a capacity under 14 Ah.
The charger will normally recognise the modes suitable for the battery type. If the
battery is not recognised, proceed as follows:
NOTE
You can identify the battery type from the type plate on your battery.
Press the MODE button several times to select Mode 1.
Charging mode 1

will be shown in the display.
If you do not then set another mode, the electronics automatically start the charg-
ing process with a charging current of around 1 A.
Once the battery is fully charged, the frame around the battery icon stops flashing
and the entire battery icon lights up permanently. Trickle charging takes place in
this status.
6.4.2. Mode 2 (12 V to max. 120 Ah batteries)
Set this mode to charge batteries with a capacity under 120 Ah.
The charger will normally recognise the modes suitable for the battery type. If the
battery is not recognised, proceed as follows:
