Section 2 – Limitations
This AFMS is applicable to the software versions shown below:

This AFMS must be attached to the Pilot’s Operating Handbook and FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual.
The GFC 600 Pilot’s Guide, P/N 190-01488-00, must be available to the pilot when using the GFC 600.
One pilot must be seated in his/her seat, with seatbelt fastened, during all autopilot operations.
Use of the autopilot or yaw damper during takeoff and landing or during a single-engine go around is
prohibited.
Emergency Descent Mode (EDM) is for emergency use only. Intentional activation of EDM, for other than
an emergency, is prohibited.
The GFC 600 AFCS preflight test must complete successfully prior to use of the autopilot, flight director or
manual electric trim.
Autopilot maximum engagement speed is 263 KIAS at and below 30,500 ft.
Autopilot maximum engagement speed is 0.71 M above 30,500 ft.
Autopilot minimum engagement speed is 95 KIAS below 18,000 FT.
Autopilot minimum engagement speed is 130 KIAS at and above 18,000 ft.
The autopilot must be disengaged below 200 ft AGL during coupled approaches with vertical navigation
and below 800 ft AGL during all other operations.
The GFC 600 autopilot is approved for Category 1 precision approaches and non-precision approaches
only.
Maximum fuel imbalance with autopilot engaged is 200 lbs.
For aircraft which do not have a GTN Navigator installed the maximum speed for LOC, BC, and VAPP
captures greater than 45° is 140 KIAS.
Automatic GPS-to-LOC CDI switching must be disabled when using NAV/APR modes unless the following
conditions are met:
GMC 605 software version 2.50 or later
AND
GTN 6XX/7XX software version 6.70 or later
AND
G600 TXi with software version 3.10 or later.
NOTE
The GFC 600 installation does not change the previously approved Kinds of Operation.
