Cures: check and replace if necessary
Problem: The water level control does not provide water when it should and the level gauge light is on
- Cause 1: the loading solenoid valve coil is broken
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 2: the loading solenoid valve core is blocked
Cures: check and replace if necessary
Problem: The water level in the boiler continues to rise until it escapes from the safety valve
- Cause 1: level sensor not connected
Cures: verify and replace if necessary
- Cause 2: there is a foreign body inside the water level control solenoid valve
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 3: there is a foreign body in the seal housing
Cures: check
- Cause 4: the seal is worn
Cures: check and replace if necessary
Problem: The graduated optical gauge does not show the actual water level in the boiler
- Cause 1: the gauge’s lower connection pipe with the boiler is obstructed
Cures: dismantle and clean
Problem: The boiler gets up to pressure but the group will not deliver
- Cause 1: the control centre fuses are shot (dosed version)
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 2: the delivery switch is defective (continuous delivery version)
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 3: the solenoid valve will not open
Cures: check and replace if necessary
Problem: The machine will only deliver when the heating element is electrically powered (red indicator light on)
- Cause 1: “neutral” is missing from the electrical power supply
Cures: check and reset
Problem: Irregular doses are delivered (dosed version only)
- Cause 1: there is a leakage in the infra-red doser
Cures: replace the doser if there is humidity on its outside and on the diode holder ange
- Cause 2: the doser’s rotor does not turn freely
Cures: replace the doser
- Cause 3: the doser’s photo-diodes do not send signals to the electronic control centre
Cures: check the operation of the photo-diodes with the impulse counter and replace if necessary
- Cause 4: the delivery solenoid valve loses from the discharge
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 5: the expansion valves lose during delivery (except lever machine, which is not tted with expansion valves)
Cures: check the calibration and eventually the seal
N.B.: Do not fully unscrew the expansion valve regulation union with the boiler under pressure.
- Cause 6: the infusor operates irregularly
Cures: check and replace if necessary
Problem: Insucient use of the coee
- Cause 1: pump pressure incorrect
Cures: regulate the pressure checking the manometer during delivery. Exact calibration value: 9 bars.
- Cause 2: expansion valves calibration incorrect: they lose during delivery (except lever machine)
Cures: regulate the calibration
- Cause 3: the delivery temperature is incorrect
Cures: check the temperature with the thermometer during delivery at the lter holder spout outlets. Intervene if necessary using the
pressure switch.
- Cause 4: the delivery solenoid valve loses from the discharge
Cures: check and replace if necessary
- Cause 5: the grain size of the ground coee is incorrect (grain too ne or too coarse)
Cures: check the delivery time and regulate the grinding if necessary
- Cause 6: shower and lters partially obstructed
Cures: check and clean; replace if necessary
Problem: Leakages occur from the water and steam pipes with the relative taps shut
- Cause 1: sealing gasket defective or presence of a foreign body in the seal housing.
Cures: check and replace if necessary
