HOW TO OPERATE THE FAT REDUCING GRILL
While preparing the grill for the first time, it may give off a slight odour and
popping sound. The oven is actually burning off excess lubricants found
on the grill’s heating elements and will not recur.
1. Remove the plastic stand from underneath the unit. Clip the plastic
stand into place as shown.
2. Open the grill flat and position the small collector tray beneath the
two drain channels. (there is a small locating groove, which will help
the tray to stay in position)
3. Check that nothing is on the cooking plates then plug the unit into the
mains wall socket. The grill will begin to heat up. After 10 minutes or
so, the grill will be pre-heated and ready for use. Your indicator light
will go on and off periodically after it has reached its temperature.
Always preheat your grill before using to ensure even grilling.
4. A cooking spray may be used for cooking lean meats, vegetables or
fish. If grilling marinated food or meat with any amount of fat, you do
not need to use the spray.
PAGE3
5. When the grill is preheated place your food on the surface of the grill.
6. Allow your food to cook for the approximate time indicated. Check
your food after a few minutes to view the progress of your cooking.
7. When your food is cooked, unplug the grill from the wall outlet. Let
stand to cool.
8. If you want to cook both sides at once, simply operate with the lid
closed. It is a good idea to keep checking the cooking progress when
using this method.
9. Turn the food frequently during cooking but do not use metal
utensils as this will damage the non-stick cooking surface.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Take a damp cloth or sponge with a little soap and clean the top and
bottom surface area. Rinse and wipe again with only water on the
cloth.
3. Pull out the collection tray and properly dispose of the grease. Rinse
with warm soapy water.
4. Wipe the outer surface area of the grill with a damp cloth or sponge.
5. Never place the grill in water. This could cause an electrical shock
and/or damage to the grill.
7. Do not use any metal utensils or scrubbing pads. They may damage
the unit.
