Installation Instructions
1. Using a 1/4" nut driver, loosen the Step-up Piston
Cover Screws (1) and pivot the Step-up Piston Cover
Plates (2) to the side. The Metering Rods (3) and
Step-up Springs (4) can now be removed.
2. Disconnect the Choke Cam Connector Rod (5),
Pump Connector Rod (6), and Choke Connector
Rod (7).
3. Remove the nine Airhorn Attaching Screws and
remove the Airhorn from the carburetor body. Be
careful not to set the lid down on the floats.
4. A standard screwdriver can now be used to remove
the old Metering Jets and install the new .089"
Metering Jets. Both pairs of Primary (8) and
Secondary Metering Jets (9) should be replaced with
the new Metering Jets; all four Metering Jets sup-
plied in this kit are the same and may be used in
either Primary or Secondary locations. Once the
desired Metering Jets have been installed the carbu-
retor may be reassembled by reversing the above pro-
cedure. Be sure to replace the Step-up Piston
Springs and Metering Rods with the new parts sup-
plied (Pink colored Step-up Springs and .068" x
.057" Metering Rods).
