BEFORE HANDLING, SHOOTING OR WORKING ON YOUR PSE
CROSSBOW, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY
GUIDELINES AND WARNINGS CONTAINED IN THIS OWNER’S MANUAL. FAILURE
TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY TO YOU OR OTHERS.
PRECISION SHOOTING EQUIPMENT INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INJURIES
SUFFERED OR CAUSED BY IMPROPER USE, MODIFICATION, OR MAINTENANCE
OF THE CROSSBOW AND NOT READING AND STRICTLY ADHERING TO ALL
SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARNINGS CONTAINED IN THIS OWNER’S MANUAL.
For a continually updated list of safety guidelines and warnings, and a complete manual for
your specific PSE crossbow model, visit: www.psearchery.com/product-support/
It is your responsibility to read, understand and follow all safety guidelines
and warnings related to your PSE crossbow. We also highly recommend that you read,
understand, and follow all safety guidelines and warnings associated with all other acces-
sories and equipment used with your PSE crossbow. It is your responsibility to keep this
manual and reference it often. Should your PSE Crossbow be sold or given to another person,
be sure that this manual is provided with the crossbow.
Always wear safety glasses when handling or shooting your crossbow.
Always make sure that your hands, fingers and thumbs remain below the
string and rail surface when the crossbow is cocked. Failure to do so may result in serious
injury including amputation.
Never run, crawl, ride a horse, an ATV, motorcycle or travel in any sort
of vehicle with a loaded crossbow. Always treat your crossbow as you would a firearm.
Always inspect your crossbow thoroughly before, after and during each
shooting session to ensure that it is in good working order. Check for any damaged,
worn, loose or missing components. Any work required to your PSE crossbow should
always be done by an Authorized PSE Retailer.
Never dry fire your crossbow. A dry fire is cocking and firing your
crossbow without a bolt. If your crossbow is dry fired do not cock it again, take it to an
authorized PSE Retailer immediately to be inspected.
Never disengage the trigger safety (move to FIRE position) until you are
certain you are ready to take a safe shot.
Never load and cock your crossbow unless you are in a safe area to
shoot into a proper crossbow target.
Never pull the trigger unless you are certain of your target and intend to
fire the crossbow and always keep your finger o the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
Never apply string wax, oil or grease to your rail or trigger as it can bind
the trigger and prevent the string from properly and safely latching. Only an ocial
crossbow lube made specifically for this function should be used. See an Authorized PSE
Retailer for proper crossbow lubricants.
Never use a cocking device to un-cock your crossbow as it may cause
serious injury to you and/or damage your crossbow. De-cocking devices can be pur-
chased separately and it is your responsibility to know and understand how to use those
safely and properly. See an Authorized PSE Retailer to learn more.
Never attempt to shoot a crossbow with a cocking device attached.
Before cocking your crossbow, inspect the cocking rope to ensure it is in
proper working condition. If there is any sign of wear or damage to the rope do not
proceed with cocking. Use of a damaged cocking rope could lead to serious injury or
death. Replacement cocking devices and parts can be purchased at an Authorized PSE
Retailer.
When unloading and un-cocking your crossbow, always discharge the
bolt in a safe area and into a target specifically manufactured for crossbows.

service work to be performed on your crossbow.
Always make sure that your intended target and the area in front of,
and beyond your intended target, is completely clear and free of people, structures,
vehicles, animals, roads, and debris. Always make sure your backstop is large enough
and sturdy enough to handle a stray bolt. Never shoot your crossbow straight up in the
air and never aim a loaded or unloaded crossbow at another person.
Never shoot your bow with any of the factory installed parts removed.
Only Genuine PSE parts should be used when parts are needed to be replaced and the
replacement of the parts should always be done by an Authorized PSE Retailer.

until all bolts have been shot and the shooting line is clear.
Anyone under the age of 18 should never use a PSE crossbow without
the supervision of a responsible adult.
Never allow your crossbow to be exposed to extreme heat or

attics, basements, etc. where excess heat or moisture is prevalent. PSE is not
responsible for damage caused by exposing your crossbow to such elements.
Never store your crossbow in a cocked position.
Never try to press your crossbow in a bow press.
Only an Authorized PSE Retailer should press your crossbow.
Never handle or shoot a PSE crossbow if taking medication that can impair
your mental or physical abilities. Never use drugs or alcohol when handling or shooting a
PSE crossbow.
Shooting the correct bolts for your specific crossbow setup is critical. Only
use PSE branded crossbow bolts with half-moon nocks. Never use flat nocks, capture nocks or
omni nocks.
To avoid product damage or personal injury always inspect your bolts before
shooting to ensure that they are straight, undamaged and that each nock is in good condition.
Refer to your bolt manufacturer’s warnings and instructions for proper inspection instructions.
Never allow yourself or others to put body parts within the path of the string
or other moving parts when cocking, un-cocking or shooting a crossbow. Never work on a
crossbow or allow others to work on a crossbow while the crossbow is cocked.
Always check your strings and cables to ensure they are in good quality
condition. If you find any damage to your strings or cables, including fraying or worn areas,
they should be replaced immediately by an Authorized PSE Retailer. Only ocial PSE manu-
factured strings and cables should be used on your PSE crossbow.
Keep all sharp objects clear of your string and cables on your PSE crossbow
to prevent the cutting of strings and cables. If your string or cables are ever damaged by a
sharp object, the crossbow should be taken immediately to an Authorized PSE Retailer for
evaluation.
Never shoot your crossbow with any of the factory installed parts removed.
Only Genuine PSE parts should be used when parts are needed to be replaced and the
replacement of the parts should always be done by an Authorized PSE Retailer.
Modifications outside of the factory settings and structure of your
bow should never be made. Never drill holes or reduce material from any part of your

CROSSBOW SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Your PSE crossbow will give you many years of use if maintained and cared for properly. It
is a mechanical device that is subject to wear and therefore must be inspected periodically
and given proper adjustments and service. It is recommended that this service be performed
a minimum of once per year by an Authorized PSE Retailer. It is also recommended that
you always work with an Authorized PSE Retailer to perform any work or make any
adjustments to your PSE crossbow. To find your nearest Authorized PSE Retailer, visit www.
psearchery.com/dealer-locator-tool/. There are certain critical inspection and maintenance
routines that you personally need to understand and perform on a regular basis, which are
outlined below:
PRE, POST & DURING SHOOTING INSPECTIONS:
Always inspect your PSE crossbow, accessories and arrows thoroughly before, after and
during each shooting session to ensure they are all in good working condition. Check for
any damaged, worn, loose or missing components. Any work required to your PSE
crossbow should always be done by an Authorized PSE Retailer.
STRINGS AND CABLES: Strings and cables should be replaced after 500
shots or every year, whichever comes first. PSE recommends that you apply a high-quality
string wax to your string after every couple of shooting sessions. You can purchase string
wax at an Authorized PSE Retailer.
BUSHINGS AND BEARINGS: All bushings and bearings on your PSE
crossbow are sealed and/or self-lubricating and therefore do not require any lubrication.
BOW STORAGE: Always store your crossbow in a cool dry place. Never allow
your crossbow to be exposed to extreme heat or prolonged moisture. Crossbows should
never be left in vehicles, garages, storage units, attics, basements, etc. where excess heat
or moisture is prevalent. If your crossbow is exposed to moisture, be sure to wipe it down
thoroughly prior to storage. Do not use any sort of solvents, oils, or sprays on or around your
crossbow to prevent damage to your crossbow and creating a slippery grip surface.
See your Authorized PSE Retailer for approved crossbow lubricants.

COCKING THE CROSSBOW
DO NOT cock or load your crossbow unless
you are in a safe area to shoot.
1.
Before cocking your crossbow, ensure the safety is in the “FIRE”
position. If not, insert the crossbow bolt into the flight track (with the
cock-vane facing down) - then slide it all the way back until the nock
activates the anti-dry fire mechanism. Now, you can manually move
the lever into the “FIRE” position. Remove crossbow bolt before
cocking.
2.
With the stirrup of the crossbow resting on the ground, place your
foot well into the stirrup and lay the center of the auxilliary cocking
rope under the shoulder of the grip stock just behind the scope rail.
(Fig. 13A) Set the auxilliary cocking rope hooks securely on the string
facing down, on both sides of the rail. (Fig. 11) Pull straight up using
the
“T-Handles” until the string is fully engaged. (Fig. 12)
DO NOT release the string completely until you are certain it is
engaged. If the trigger latch did not capture the string, lower
the string gently and repeat steps 1 and 2.
3.
When the crossbow is cocked, the safety is automatically in
the “safe” position as shown in (Fig. 13). Always check
to ensure that the safety is into the “safe” position.
NEVER ASSUME THAT THE SAFETY SELECTOR IS ON!
Fig. 11 Fig. 12
Fig. 13
SCOPE ZEROING
Adjust the focus so that the reticle is clear in the sight picture. From a steady rest
position, fire three bolts at a target 20 yards away. Observe the point of impact
on the target and adjust the windage and elevation turrets as needed. Move to
50 yards and adjust the windage and elevation turrets until the 50 yard mark is
perfect. Verify that the other reticle marks correspond to their respective yardage.
If impacts at longer ranges are high then loosen locking screw on the speed dial
and set to a faster speed, if impacting low at longer ranges then set to a slower
speed. Fine tune until marks correspond, then tighten the locking screw on
speed dial.
All shooting should be done at an approved range
or other safe area.
UNLOADING AND UNCOCKING
The safest way to unload and uncock a crossbow is to discharge a bolt into a
crossbow specific target at close range. You may also use a discharge bolt for the
purpose of unloading or uncocking your crossbow. Be extremely careful since the bolt
could ricochet.
NEVER DRY FIRE YOUR CROSSBOW!
Firing your crossbow without a bolt will damage the crossbow, possibly cause bodily
harm and void the warranty. If your crossbow is dry fired take it immediatly to an
authorized PSE retailer for inspection.
STRING REPLACEMENT
The string on your crossbow will wear down over time and must be replaced. If
not properly cared for or replaced when necessary, your string can fail leading to
accidental firing and serious injury.
The string on your crossbow should be replaced
every 500 shots or once a year, whichever comes first. Failure to do so will void
your warranty.

LOADING AND SHOOTING
YOUR CROSSBOW (CONTINUED)
CORRECT LOADING
Your PSE crossbow can only be fired safely if the cock vane is
loaded correctly. Failure to do so can result in a dry fire, crossbow
damage, or serious injury to you or others.
CORRECT!
INCORRECT!
The cock vane (odd colored vane) should be placed down and inside the
barrel. The nock should be oriented 90 degrees to the direction of the
cock vane.
If the cock vane is not the down inside position,
the string may travel over the nock and result
in a dry fire.

LOADING AND SHOOTING
YOUR CROSSBOW
1. With the crossbow cocked and pointed safely down range,
place a bolt of the correct size in the groove on top of the rail
with the odd colored fletching down into the flight track. See
(Fig. 14). Slide the bolt back into the string under the arrow
retention spring until it makes complete contact with the string.
The crossbow is now loaded. Handle with extreme care.
2. With the crossbow still pointed safely down range, place the
butt of the stock on your shoulder with the front hand on the
foregrip of the stock. Keep your thumb and
fingers well below the path of the string and cables. Also keep
your eye at least 2 inches behind the rear sight or scope. Failure
to follow these safety precautions can result in serious injury.
3. Move the safety to the “fire” position by pushing it forward.
See (Fig. 15). Take careful aim and squeeze the trigger
smoothly to fire the crossbow.

USING AN OPTIONAL COCKING WINCH
(NOT INCLUDED)
Step 1: Ensure that the safety switch is in the “FIRE” position before attempting
to cock the crossbow. If the safety switch is in the ON SAFE” position you will
need to load a crossbow bolt into trigger mechanism (with bow un-cocked) to
disengage the anti-dry fire switch allowing the safety to move forward. Remove
crossbow bolt before cocking.
Step 2: With the crossbow pointing downwards and the foot stirrup making
contact with the ground, place the Sled Winch cocking device into the hole
located on top of the stock just in front of the adjustable buttstock. (Fig. A)
Step 3: Place one foot in the foot stirrup so the crossbow is secure against the
ground. Press the release button with one hand while pulling the cocking sled
with the other hand toward the bowstring. (Fig. B)
Step 4: Place the cocking sled over the bow string so that both protruding
catches on bottom of sled capture the string. Turn the crank wheels slightly to
put tension on the draw cord to ensure the sled holds firmly on the bowstring
(Fig. C) .
Step 5: Attach crank handle to either side of the cocking winch for right or left
handed use. Line up silver pin on crank handle with one of the small holes on the
crank wheel and make sure handle is installed firmly so it will not slip o during
cranking. (Fig. D)
Step 6: Start cranking clockwise while holding the butt stock with the other hand.
Make sure to use a controlled, smooth motion. To ensure the crossbow is fully
cocked, visually inspect that the safety selector is fully moved into the “SAFE”
position. Visual inspection is required. (Fig. E)
Step 7: While applying slight pressure on the crank handle, press the release
button and turn the crank handle counter-clockwise until the sled clears the front
of the scope rail. Then, remove the cocking winch device from the crossbow.
(Fig. F)
Do not use this cocking device to uncock your crossbow as it may
cause you serious injury or damage to the crossbow. Decocking devices may be
purchased separately. Never attempt to shoot the crossbow with the cocking
device attached. To avoid serious injury, never place your foot or other parts of
your body in the path of the bowstring while cocking. Always inspect the cocking
rope for worn or damaged parts before use. If worn or damaged, do not use the
cocking device. Use of a damaged rope cocking device could lead to
serious injury or death. You may purchase replacement cocking devices at your
PSE Archery dealer. Visit www.pse-archery.com/dealer-locator to find your
nearest PSE dealer.
