The following is a chart showing how the back-up and relay panel is tied in.
Operation of the Vents, Tunnel Inlet, and Side Wall Curtains
The Vents and Tunnel Inlets are wired to operate off of static pressure. The way
this works is as long as the Stage Master 12 is not calling for Unit 2 to open the tunnel
inlet will remain closed and the Vents will operate off of the Farm Hand Power Vent.
When the Stage Master 12 calls for Unit 2 to open the Vents will close and the Tunnel
Inlet will operate off of the Power Vent. The Stage Master 12 must be setup as if the
tunnel inlet is tied to Unit 2. The Auto/Manual switch for Unit 2 on the Stage Master
must be in the Auto position for proper operation. If Unit 2 of the Stage Master is put in
Manual and Open the Vents will close and the Tunnel Inlet can be run manually by the
Farm Hand Power Vent. If Unit 2 of the Stage Master is put in Manual and Close the
Tunnel Inlet will close and the Vents can be run manually by the Farm Hand Power Vent.
The Connections labeled Sidewalls in the main junction is for running a curtain actuator
off of unit 1 of the Stage Master. If no sidewalls are being operated a jumper must be
placed across the terminals labeled closed signal for this unit.
Wiring
Refer to the Stage Master and Power Vent Manuals for connections of sensors
and curtain actuators, all terminals are extended from the connection inside the
controllers to the junction boxes. The stages are tied in to the main junction box the same
as if they were tied into the relay panel such as L1 and L2 from the breaker box to the
terminals labeled IN for each stage and from the OUT of each stage to the equipment for
that stage.
