Maintenance
Infl ate your PESCADOR P240-HF CAT with a pump from AQUATEC Europe or any pump designed for infl atable boats,
and other low pressure infl atables. These types of pump will have a hose and adapters to fi t the valves on this PESCADOR
P240-HF CAT.
1. To defl ate the P240-HF CAT , remove the valve cap from the valves in the drop stitch fl oor and the side tubes.
2. Clean and check the P240-HF CAT as well as all the accessories. Make sure the P240-HF CAT is completely dry before
putting it away. Make sure that no sand nor gravel remains inside the P240-HF CAT: this could result in abrasion or even
punctures while storing the P240-HF CAT.
3. Fold the 2 sides into the middle, then roll it up from the opposite end of the valves (so remaining air can escape from
the valves).
4. When storing your infl atable, keep it in a clean and dry place.
Any use of an air compressor may result in poor performance or damage to the PESCADOR P240-HF
CAT, and automatically voids all warranties. If you leave your PESCADOR P240-HF CAT exposed to the hot
sun, check the pressure and defl ate it slightly. Otherwise the PESCADOR P240-HF CAT may become over
infl ated and stretch the material. The ambient temperature affects the tube’s internal pressure : a variation
of 1°C/ 1.8°F causes a variation of the pressure in the tube of +/- 4 mBar (0.06 psi)
1. Side tube valve(s) and drop stitch fl oor valve – please see corresponding:
Unscrew the valve cap(1). Push button(2) in and turn approximately 90 degrees so it is
in the “OUT” position. Insert the pump hose end piece and infl ate it until you will reach
the required pressure. After infl ation tighten all the valve caps (clockwise). Only the
valve(s) cap can ensure fi nal AIR TIGHTNESS. To release air from the side tubes and
bottom fl oor tube, remove the valve cap (1) and push button(2) in and turn approxima-
tely 90 degrees so it is in the “IN” position.
2. Max. air pressure : the correct pressure for this item is: Side tube valve(s): 0,25
bar / 3,60 psi (=250 mBar ). Do not exceed it.
3. Seat
PESCADOR P240-HF CAT can be used with optional 360° swivel seat,
comfortable and stable.
4
Whenever you take your PESCADOR P240-HF CAT out of the water and defl ate it, allow time for it to air
out and dry. Neither the skin/hull or the inside chambers will suffer from water damage, but stagnant
water could cause mildew and foul odor.
How to repair small punctures
1. Prepare a round patch no less than 3 inches or 7 centimeters in diameter.
2. Clean the patch and the area surrounding the leak with Alcohol.
3. To contain excess glue, use masking tape to tape off the area around the patch.
4. Apply 3 thin, even coats of repair kit adhesive to both the surface of the PESCADOR P240-HF CAT and the patch.
Wait 5 minutes Between each coat.
5. After the 3rd coat, wait 10-15 minutes before applying the patch. Use a hand roller to apply the patch evenly.
Pay special attention to the edges.
6. Wait 24 hours before re-infl ating.
5
• Perform all of your repairs in a well-ventilated area.
• Avoid inhaling glue vapors.
• Avoid contact with the skin or the eyes.
• Keep all repair materials (glue, solvents, etc) away from the reach of children.
• The repairs on the welds must not be glued. Only the manufacturer of the PESCADOR P240-HF CAT
can perform repairs on the welds themselves.
Warranty Registration Card
1. General
Please fi ll out and mail in the Warranty Registration Card supplied in your order right away. You will void your warranty
by not fi ling the registration card with us. Be sure to enter the Serial # (HIN code = the 12 digit number). A small patch
of serial number are found in each boat. You can fi nd a serial number patch by looking through inside of the tube or
stern area.
2. Care and Preservation
There is very little that you have to do to keep your boat in good condition for many years. You may store it infl ated or
defl ated. If you leave it outside, raise it up off the ground. If it is going to be in direct sunlight or exposed to leaves, berries
or rain, cover it with a tarp. (We do not recommend hanging the boat). If you leave it in the water, you will probably have
to drain out rainwater at times. If you store it in a closet, basement or garage, we suggest you pick a cool, dry spot, making
sure the boat is clean and dry before you pack it up - or mold can accumulate. That is all you need to keep your boat
in mint condition for years to come. Most dirt can be removed with a garden hose, a sponge and mild soap. SoftScrub
works exceedingly well. Make sure the boat for long periods, Do not sprinkle with powders. Do not store in an area where
it is likely to be exposed to extreme temperatures (above 150°C or below -10°C) .
