Store this instruction manual in a safe place, along with your warranty card, purchase
receipt and packaging box for future reference. Please pay particular attention to the
safety information.
• Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebyyoungchildrenorinrmpersonsunlessthey
have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use
the appliance safely.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agentorasimilarlyqualiedpersoninordertoavoidahazard.
• Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local main voltage
before you connect the appliance.
• Do not use this product near or over water i.e. baths, washbasins, sinks,etc. When used
in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use.
• Straightenerheatsupto230˚C,sostraightenerplateswillbecomehotduringuse.
Prevent contact with the skin to avoid a burn.
• Before you start styling, comb or brush the hair so that it is untangled
and smooth. Do not use on wet hair.
• Do not allow children to use the hair straighteners.
• A setting lotion may be applied after washing your hair.
• After use, remove the main plug from the wall socket. Place the appliance pointing in a
downward position in a safe place and allow it to cool down.
• Do not place this appliance on any soft material such as rugs, bedding, etc.
• IMPORTANT: Take care to avoid contact between the hot surface of the tong and
the skin, paying particular attention to the face, neck and hands.
• IMPORTANT: Always unplug the appliance when not in use or before cleaning.
Do not leave appliance unattended when plugged in. Do not place on any heat
sensitive surface and always allow cooling before storing it.

USING YOUR HAIR STRAIGHTENER
Use with cord
1. Insert the power supply plug (9) into the power socket at the end of the hair
straightener and plug into a mains socket.
2. Switch the hair straightener on using the on/off switch (3).
The indicator light (2) will then come on.
3. The ceramic surfaces of the hair straightener will heat up rapidly.
Use without cord
1. Insert the power supply plug (9) into the power socket (8) at the back
of the charging stand.
2. Plug into a mains socket. Place the hair straightener in the charging
stand socket (5),
3. Switch on the charging stand using the on/off switch (6),and switch on the hair
straightener using the on/off switch (3) The indicator (2) will then come on.
4. The ceramic surfaces of the hair straightener will heat up rapidly. Take the hair
straightener out of the charging stand and use without the cord. When the
straightenerstemperaturedropstoolow(afterapprox10minutes),placeitbriey
in the charging stand to reheat.
Note: Your hair must be completely dry and brushed through before you use the hair
straightener. Brush out a lock of hair approximately 5cm wide and place it between
the plates. Clamp the hair straightener together and allow the hair to heat up for a
few seconds. Draw the hair straightener from the roots towards the ends of the hair
in a smooth and even motion. Continue until you have achieved the desired style.
Care and Cleaning
• Whenyouhavenishedusingthehairstraightener,switchitoffusingtheon/offswitch.
• Wipe the hair straightener and the ceramic plates using a damp cloth once they have
cooled down.
