The equipment is only intended for HOME USE and is NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL AND/OR
STUDIO FACILITIES USE.
Contact TROJAN with any questions regarding this classification. It is recommended that all users of TROJAN be informed of the
following information prior to use.
HEALTH WARNING
• Beforestartinganyexerciseorconditioningprogramyoushouldconsultwithyourpersonalphysiciantoseeifyourequirea
completephysicalexam.Thisisespeciallyimportantifyouareovertheageof35orhaveneverexercised,arepregnantorsuffer
from any illness.
• Ifatanytimeduringexerciseyoufeelfaint,dizzyorexperiencepain,stopexercisingimmediatelyandconsultyourphysician.
• Toavoidmuscularpainandstrain,begineachworkoutbystretchingandwarmingupandendeachsessionbycoolingdownand
stretching.
ACCESS CONTROL
TROJAN recommends that all fitness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be located in
an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment. Parents or other
supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabilizeandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itis
recommendedthatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
Fortreadmillsitisrecommendedthatyouhave2mofspacebehindtherunningdeck.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.
PROPER USAGE
• Donotusetheequipmentinanywayotherthanasdesignedorintendedbythemanufacturer.Itisimperativethat
TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.
• Injuriesmayresultfromexercisingimproperlyorexcessively.
• YourTROJANequipmentshouldonlybeusedbyonepersonatatime.
• Becarefultomaintainyourbalancewhileusing,mounting,dismounting,folding,unfoldingorassemblingyourTROJAN
equipment to avoid injury.
• Donotattempttoadjustanyseats/pads/pulleysetc.whileyouareonyourTROJANequipment.
• Servicingotherthantheproceduresinthismanualshouldbeperformedbyanauthorizedservicerepresentativeonly.
• DANGER:Alwaysunplugthepowercordbeforecleaninganyequipmentpoweredbyelectricity.

• Alwaysmakesurethatallnutsandboltsaretightenedpriortoeachuse.
• Cablesandbeltsposeanextremeliabilityifusedwhenfrayed.Alwaysreplaceanycableatrstsignofwear.
• Routinelyinspectallaccessoryclipsthatjoinattachmentstothecablesandreplaceattherstsignofwear.

4. ASSEMBLY STEPS
Instructions for assembly
• Unpackthecartonandusingthepartslistcheckthatallpartsareaccountedfor.
• Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterialuntilassemblyiscompleted.
• AnAllenWrenchisprovidedforuseinassembly.
STEP 1
• InserttheRearStabilizer(6),whichincludes
2 Caps (8), into the Frame (1). Secure the Rear
Stabilizerwith4M8x60mmAllenHeadScrews
(30).
Note:youcanusethecaps(8)tolevelthebike.
STEP 2
• OrientatetheFrontStabilizer(2),whichincludes
Caps (4), with the large holes facing the Frame
(1).
•AttachtheFrontStabilizertotheFrame(1)with
2M8x73mmAllenHeadScrews(33).

STEP 3
• AttachtheSeat(12)totheSeatForwardandBack
Adjustment Assembly (58) on Seat Post (5). Use 4 M8 Split
Washers(42)and4M8NylonLocknuts(10).
Note:TheSplitWashers(42)andtheNylonLocknuts(10)are
pre-attached to the underside of the Seat (12).
STEP 4
• TurntheSeatQuickRelease(9)counterclockwiseand
remove it from the Frame (1). Insert the Seat Post (5) into
the Frame (1). Adjust the Seat Post to the desired height
andinserttheSeatQuickRelease(9)throughtheselected
holeintheFrame(1).TurntheSeatKnob(9)clockwise
untilitistight.MakesuretheSeatQuickReleaseisrmly
engaged in one of the adjustment holes in the Seat Post (5).
HOW TO ADJUST SEAT POST QUICK RELEASE
A) TIGHTEN QUICK RELEASE
• InsertQuickRelease(9)throughtheholeofSeatPost(5).
• TightenQuickRelease(9)inaclockwisedirection.Please
noteQuickReleaseKnobismarkedwith“+/-”onitssurface.
B) LOOSEN QUICK RELEASE
• LoosenQuickRelease(9)inacounterclockwisedirection.
• PullpinofQuickRelease(9)andmoveholeofSeatPost(5).
• PutthepinoftheQuickRelease(9)backandtightenina
clockwisedirection.

• Removethe4M8x15mmButtonScrews(34),4M8
Split Washers (42) and 4 Curved Washers (68) from the
Frame (1).
• WhileanotherpersonholdstheUpright(13)nearthe
Frame(1),connecttheExtensionWire(64)totheReed
Switch Wire (39). Connect the Resistance Cable (23) to
the Lower Cable (29).
• PushtheWires(64,39)andtheCables(23,29)intothe
Frame (1).
• InserttheUpright(13)intotheFrame(1).
• AttachtheUpright(13)with4M8x15mmButton
Screws (34), 4 M8 Split Washers (42) and 4 Curve
Washers (68).
STEP 6
• AttachtheHandlebar(50)totheweldedmetalclampof
Upper Front Post (13) and secure with Spacer (54),
Decoration Cover (67) and Wing Knob Nut (44).

• Insertbatteriesintoconsol.(Seepage12).
• WhileasecondpersonholdstheConsol(16)
near the Upright (13) connect the consol wire to the
ExtensionWires(23,64).
• PushtheexcesswireintotheUpright(13).
• AttachtheConsol(16)totheUpright(13)andsecure
with4M5x15mmRoundHeadBolt(46).
STEP 8
• IdentifytheLeftPedal(24),whichismarkedwitha“Left”
sticker.Usinganadjustablewrench,rmlytightenthe
LeftPedal(24)counterclockwiseontoleftCrank(55L).
TightentheRightPedal(26)clockwiseontotheright
Crank.
Note:Therightpedal“R”shouldbethreadedonclockwise.
Theleftpedal“Lshouldbethreadedoncounter-
clockwise
• Important:TightenbothPedalsasrmlyaspossible.
Afterusingtheexercisecycleforoneweek,retightenthe
Pedals.
• AdjustthePedalStraps(3)tothedesiredposition,and
press the end of the Pedal Strap onto the tab on the side
of the Left and Right Pedal (24/26).
Note: The end with 4 adjustable holes must be set
outwards.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
7 DISPLAY FUNCTIONS:
TIME: Displaystheexercisetime00:00-99:59(Countup)or99.59-00:00(Countdown).
SPEED: Displaysthecurrentspeedinkph(0.00-99.9KPH/MPH).
RPM: Displays the number of pedal revolutions per minute.
DISTANCE: Displays the distance covered (0.00-99.9 Kilometers /Miles).
CALORIES: Displays the calories burnt off (0.0-999.9-K.cal).
WATT: Displays the resistance level.
HEART RATE: Displays heart rate in beats per minute.
When entering your AGE, the limits are set at 1-99 years
OPERATING PROCEDURES
Whenthepowerisrstswitchedon,theLCDwindowwillbeilluminatedfor2secondsandtheExercise
Monitor’s CPU will set the resistance level to Level 1. The system is now in Initial Mode.
DATA INPUT KEYS
UP: Use to select a program or increase the resistance level, time or age.
DOWN: Use to select a program or decrease the resistance level, time or age.
ENTER: InInitialMode,pressthe“ENTER”keytoenterTimeorAgesettings.
MODE: InInitialMode,pressthe“MODE”keytoselectSpeed/RPMandCalorie/Wattmodes.
START/PAUSE: Usetostartorstopexercising.Holdingthisbuttonfor3secondswillresetallvaluestozero
andreturntheExerciseMonitortoitsstandbypower-onmode.
RESET: Toerasethedatavaluestozero.
Note:Thecomputerwillshutoffautomaticallyafterfourminutesofinactivity.Allfunctionvalueswillbekept.PushtheMODE
buttonandholditdownforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Theconsolrequires4AAbatteries(Alkalinebatteriesarerecommended).Pressthetabonthebatterycoverand
removeit.Insert4batteriesintotheconsol.Makesurethatthebatteriesareorientedasshowninthediagramonthebatterycover.
Then, re-attach the battery cover.

COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
LCD DISPLAY UNIT
Thissystemprovides12differentExercisePrograms.Whenyoupresettheworkouttime,thesystemwilldividethetimeinto10
regularintervals,whichwillbecomeyourExerciseTimeSegments.Ifyoudonotpresetyourintendedworkouttime,thesystem
programwillcountuptheworkouttimeinone-secondincrements.
OPERATING PROGRAMS 1 - 10
• Pressthe“START/PAUSE”keyfor3secondstoentertheinitialmode.
• Pressthe“+/UP”or“-/DOWN“keytochoosetheexerciseprogramyouwant.Theprogramproleswillbedisplayedonthe
LCD screen.
• WhenyouhavecompletedtheProgramsetting,pressthe“ENTER”keytoenterTimesetting.Press“+/UP”or“-/DOWN“
keytoincreaseordecreaseyourExerciseProgramresistance.
OPERATING PROGRAM 11 - 12
• Theseareuniqueprograms.TheyallowtheExerciseMonitortoautomaticallyadjusttheworkoutresistanceaccordingtoyour
heart rate.
• IfyourcurrentheartrateishigherthanyourTargetHeartRate,theExerciseMonitorCPUwillautomaticallydecreasethe
workoutresistance.IfyourcurrentheartrateislowerthanyourTargetHeartRate,theExerciseMonitorCPUwillautomatically
increasetheworkoutresistance.
PROGRAM NO. 11 – 60% HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAM
• Toprogramyourtargetheartratecorrectlypleaseusethefollowingformula

AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobicexerciseisanysustainedactivitythatsendsoxygentoyourmusclesviayourheartandlungs.Aerobicexercise
improvesthetnessofyourlungsandheart-yourbody’smostimportantmuscle.Aerobicexercisetnessispromoted
byanyactivitythatusesyourlargemuscles(arms,legs,orbuttock,forexample).Yourheartbeatsquicklyandyoubreathe
deeply.Anaerobicexerciseshouldbepartofyourentireexerciseroutine.
WEIGHT TRAINING
Alongwithaerobicexercisingwhichhelpsgetridofandkeepofftheexcessfatthatourbodiescanstore,weighttrain-
ingisanessentialpartoftheexerciseroutineprocess.Weighttraininghelpstone,buildandstrengthenmuscle.Ifyou
areworkingaboveyourtargetzone,youmaywanttodoalesseramountofreps.Andasalwaysconsultyourphysician
beforebeginninganyexerciseprogram.
MUSCLE CHART
CYCLE
Theexerciseroutinethatisperformedonthecyclewilldevelopthelowerbodymusclegroupaswellasconditionthe
circulatorysystemandprovideagoodaerobicworkout.Thesemusclegroupsarehighlightedonthemusclechartbelow.

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveforseveralyears,or
areseverelyoverweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.
Initially,youmaybeabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimprove
overthenextsixtoeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.
Ultimately,you’llbeabletoexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhave
toworktostayinyourtargetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
•Setupyourequipmentonaat,evensurfaceatleast3feetfromwallsandfurniture.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity. The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbodytem-
perature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.(Note:
Duringtherstfewweeksofyourexerciseprogram,donotkeepyourheartrateinyourtrainingzoneforlongerthan
20 minutes.)
Acool-down,with5to10minutesofstretching.Thiswillincreasetheexibilityofyourmusclesandwillhelptoprevent
post-exerciseproblems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
Tomaintainorimproveyourcondition,planthreeworkoutseachweek,withatleastonedayofrestbetweenworkouts.
Afterafewmonthsofregularexercise,youmaycompleteuptoveworkoutseachweek,ifdesired.Remember,thekey
tosuccessismakeexercisearegularandenjoyablepartofyoureverydaylife.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you
stretch, never bounce.
1. Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,backof
kneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouandrestit
againsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Ham-
strings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a
wall.Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyour
front leg, lean forward and move your hips toward the wall. Hold for 15 counts, then
relax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Tocausefurtherstretchingoftheachillestendons,
bendyourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet
