• This vacuum cleaner is intended for

This handheld is for indoor
use only.
For dry debris use, not to be used
on wet surfaces.
Keep ngers, hair and
loose clothing from moving
parts and openings whilst using
the handheld.
Only Dirt Devil recommended
charger, tools and accessories
should be used with this handheld.

years and above and persons

of experience and knowledge if

Don’t charge the
handheld outdoors.
Don't use this handheld if it
has been dropped, damaged,

Don’t run over the charger cord or
use handheld if the charger

Don’t handle the plug or use the

Don't throw the handheld

temperatures, as the handheld
contains a rechargeable
nickel-metal hydride battery which

Don't pull or carry this handheld by
the charger cord. Don't use the
charger cord as a handle, pull
the charger cord around corners
or sharp edges or close a door
over the charger cord. Don't unplug
handheld by pulling on the
charger cord.
Don’t attempt to remove blockages
with sharp objects as this may
cause damage to your handheld.
Don’t use the handheld charger
with incorrect voltage as this may
result in damage or injury to the
user. The correct voltage is listed
on the ratings label.
Don’t vacuum up hot coals,
cigarette butts, matches or
smoking hot burning items or use
in an area where there may be
harmful uids (chlorine, bleach,
and ammonia drain cleaner).

Always turn off the handheld
vacuum and disconnect
the charger before carrying out
any maintenance.
Turn off all controls on the
handheld before disconnecting or
connecting the charger.
Take extra care when cleaning on
the stairs.
Always protect the charger cable
from heated surfaces or near
open ames.
Use only CE approved 13amp
extension cords, non-approved
extension cords may overheat.
Care should be taken to arrange
the extension cord as it can be a
trip hazard.
Always carry the handheld by
the handle.
Store your handheld in a cool,
dry area.

Insert the other end of charger
lead into the back of handle
of machine. Initial charging
time is 24 hours.
Plug charger into mains.
The charging light will
illuminate red continuously
whilst the charger is
connected. After 6 hours of
charging the light will turn
green and is ready to use.
CHARGING
WARNING
The power switch must be in the OFF position to charge the battery.
Failure to initially charge the battery for 24 hours may result in
poor battery performance.

IMPORTANT: Always unplug the charger from the mains and disconnect the charger lead from the
machine before use. Always turn the machine off before connecting or disconnecting tools.
Push crevice tool directly
into the nozzle.

To use the dusting
attachment push tool
onto the crevice tool.

Always turn off the machine and disconnect the charger before
carrying out any maintenance.
WARNING
IMPORTANT: Don't over fill the dirt bin to avoid blocking the air flow through the handheld and
replace filters every 6-9 months.
EMPTYING THE DIRT BIN
Press the dirt bin release
button to remove dirt bin.
Pull the tabs on the filter
frame to remove the filter
from the dirt bin.
Empty dirt and debris
over a bin.

IMPORTANT: Empty the dirt bin and tap out the filter and frame after use. Don't use the handheld
without the filters in place.
CLEANING THE FILTER
Press the dirt bin release
button to remove dirt bin.
Pull tab to remove filter
and frame.

Tap filter and frame against
a bin to remove dirt/debris.
Wash the filter under running
water and leave to fully dry for at
least 24 hours before replacing.

Refit the filter and frame into the dirt bin and attach the dirt bin to
the main body making sure it is securely attached.

Why does my handheld
have no power?
Why won’t the
handheld pick up?
Why won’t the
battery recharge?
The battery may not be
fully charged.
If using the handheld for the first
time, the initial charge should be
24 hours. The charging light will
illuminate red continuously when
charger is connected. The green
ready light will appear but keep
charging for 24 hours.
The nozzle or crevice tool may
be blocked.
Check and clear any blockage.
The filter may be clogged. Clean the filter. Page 11
'Cleaning the filter'.
The battery is getting weak.
The dirt bin may be full. Empty the dirt bin. Page 10
'Emptying the dirt bin'.
