SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Always wear safety eye protection.
2. DO NOT point the laser toward the eye of any person or animal.
3. Always wear clothing which will protect you from extreme temperatures (i.e. – gloves)
4. DO NOT attempt to verify the temperature reading by touching the object.
CHECKING TEMPERATURE
1. Point the barrel of the MicroTherm™ toward the object or surface area you wish to check. Press the
button under the LCD screen and observe the LCD screen. The temperature of the object or surface
area you are pointing at will be displayed numerically on the digital display.
2. To change units of temperature being measured, simply press the button under the LCD screen twice.
Both the number displayed and the symbol to the right of it will change to reflect the different
temperature unit selected.
3. To utilize the laser pointer function, simply press and hold button under the LCD screen. An intense
red light will then shoot out from the barrel of the MicroTherm™ toward whatever it is currently
aimed at. This function is very useful in helping to determine exactly which object or area is being
measured.
Note: The LCD will continue to display the last temperature recorded until it powers off. The unit will
power off automatically once you release the button. Backlight functions will continue to work until
the button is release.
