IIIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read and understand all directions and follow all warnings and
instructions
2. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Clean with a
damp cloth.

Do not use this product near water.
4. Do not place this product on an unstable surface. The product may fall,
causing serious damage.
5. Do not allow anything to rest on the telephone cord. Do not locate this
product where the cord will be damaged by persons stepping on it.
6. Never put foreign objects of any kind into the product as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a risk of
fire or electrical shock.
7. Adjust only the controls that are covered by the operating instructions.
Improper adjustment of controls may result in damage that could require
extensive work by a qualified technician.
8. Contact the appropriate servicing department if the following should occur.
When the phone line or plug is damaged or frayed.
If liquid has been spilled into the product.
If the product has been exposed to rain or water,
If the product does not operate normally by following operating

equipment of another make or model, nor does it imply that any product is
compatible with all of Spark’s network services.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect one end of the coil cord to the jack in the handset and connect the
other end in the jack of the base unit.
2. Plug one end of the phone line to the line jack in the base unit and connect
the other end to the wall jack.
FUNCTION SETUP
The telephone is set with the standard default settings. Users can
personalise these settings in Function Setup.
11 Set the Language
In on-hook status, press and hold SET for 3 seconds to enter LANGUAGE SETUP.
Press CLID
or
to select the language. Press STORE to confirm.
2. Set the Contrast
After setting up the LANGUAGE, press STORE to access LCD CONTRAST setup.
LCD display SETTTING CONTRAST. Press CLID
or
to select the contrast (1-4).
Press STORE to confirm.
3. Set Year, Date and Time
After setting up the LCD CONTRAST, press STORE to access the YEAR, DATE and
TIME setup. The digits of the year will flash. Press CLID
or
to select the year.
Press STORE to confirm. Then digits of the month will flash. Press CLID
or
to
select the month and press STORE to confirm. Use the same method to set up the date
and time.
4. Set PABX Prefix Code
Required on some business systems that may require up to 5 digits to exit.
5. Set Local Area Code
Not required.
6. Set the Ring Melodies
After setting up the PREFIX CODES, press STORE to access the RING MELODIES
setup, Press CLID
or
to select the music (1-16) and press STORE to confirm.
7. Set the Ring Volume
After setting up the RING MELODIES, press STORE to access the RING VOLUME
setup. Press CLID
or
to select the ring volume (OFF-7) and press STORE to
confirm.
8. Set Flash Transfer Time.
After setting up the RING VOLUME, press STORE to enter the FLASH TIME setup.
Press CLID
or
to select flash time (100, 200, 300, 600, 900ms). Press STORE to
confirm. Default setting is 600ms
9. Set Pause Time
After setting up FLASH TIME, press STORE to enter the PAUSE TIME setup. Press
CLID
or
to select the pause time (1.2, 2.4, 3.6/s) and press STORE to confirm.
10. Set TONE or Pulse Mode

OPERATION
TELEPHONE
1. Make a Call:
Pick up the handset or press
to get dial tone and dial the number. The
LCD will time the call automatically.
2. Answer the Call:
Pick up the handset or press
to answer the call.
3. End a Call:
Hang up the handset or press
to end the call.
4. Switch Talk Mode from Handset to Speakerphone:
Press
,
hang up the handset, to talk through the speakerphone.
5. Switch Talk Mode from Speakerphone to Handset:
Pick up the handset and the talk mode will switch to handset automatically.
6. Hold:
In handset mode, press HOLD and the call will be held. The handset can be hung
up.
7. Hold Release:
Pick up the handset, press
or
press the HOLD button again to release a call.
8. Transfer:
You can transfer a call to a third party.
9. Pre-dial:
In on-hook status, input the phone number and then pick up the handset or
press dial/speakerphone. The number will be dialed automatically.
10. Pause:
In pre-dial/editing status, press REDIAL/PAUSE for a break off of 1.2, 2.4, or
3.6 seconds.
11. Redial;
Pick up the handset or press
,
press REDIAL/PAUSE to review and redial
the last dialed number. In the on hook mode, review and redial any of the last
20 dialed numbers. To exit press HOLD/MUTE.
12. Volume adjustment

In hand-free mode press to adjust the speakerphone volume.
In off hook handset mode press to adjust the handset volume
In on hook status, press to adjust the ringer volume.
13. Set of One-Touch Speed Dial Memories:
One touch speed dial buttons M6 - M10 are pre-programmed with Centrex
codes and can be changed as required. Buttons M1 - M5 can be programmed
for individual requirements.
There are 2 ways to store one-touch speed dial memories:
a. In on-hook status input the phone number, then press STORE. (LCD
displays ENTER NAME) . Enter the name that you wish to store and press
M1-M5 to finish the setting.
b. In on-hook status, press and hold M1-M5 for 3 seconds. (LCD displays
ENTER NUMBER), enter the number you wish to store and press
CLID
or
to select character display area. Enter the name you wish to
store and press M1-M5 to finish (LCD shows SAVED). You can also press
and hold M1-M5 directly to finish without entering name.
During the process users may press DELETE to edit the numbers and name
and 0 to enter a space..
DIAL: In on-hook status, press M1-M5 to dial out the one touch speed dial
memories automatically.
EDIT: In on-hook status, press and hold M1-M5 for 3 seconds to access.
Press CLID
or
to select between character display area and number
area, press DELETE to delete original name or number. Input the new name
and number. (At this stage, if M1-M5 is pressed without entering a new name
or number the one touch speed dial memory will be empty). Finally press the
same M1-M5 to finish .LCD shows SAVED..

CALLER ID
1. Caller ID Review:
In on-hook status, press CLID
or
to review the caller’s phone number and
the time they called.
2. Delete Caller IDs
a. Press the CLID
or
to find the call you wish to delete. Press DELETE
once to delete a single call.
b. To delete all calls from history, press CLID
or
or go to any call data.
Press and hold DELETE for 3 seconds to delete all calls.
3. Call Back from the Caller IDs
In on-hook status, press CLID
or
to select the call you wish to dial from
the Caller ID list. Press DIAL and the number will be dialed.
PHONE BOOK
1. Storing Phone Book Memories:
a. In on-hook status, input the phone number then press STORE. (LCD
displays ENTER NAME). Enter the name that you wish to store and press
to finish (LCD shows SAVED).
b. When reviewing Caller IDs or dialed numbers, scroll to the number for
adding to the phone book and press STORE. (LCD displays ENTER
NAME). Enter the name that you wish to store and press to finish (LCD
shows SAVED).
2. Review Phone Book:
In on-hook status, press to enter phone book menu.
If there are no memories, the LCD shows EMPTY. Otherwise the LCD
displays the phone book memories. Press CLID
or
to review phone book
memories.
Alphabetical searching is supported. Enter a letter to review the phone book by
the first letter of the name.
3. Edit:
In the phone book status, scroll to the number you wish to edit. Press STORE
to enter EDIT mode. Press CLID
or
to select number area or character
area and press DELETE to delete previous phone book memories and input
new number and name, then press to finish (LCD shows SAVED).
4. Delete:
In the phone book status, scroll to the number you wish to delete. Press
DELETE. The LCD displays (DELETE). Press again to delete. In phone book
reviewing status, press DELETE for 3 seconds to delete all phone book
memories (LCD shows DELETE ALL). Press again to delete all phone book
memories.
5. Dial From Phone Book:
In on-hook status, when review the phone book, find the number you wish to
dial, press
/
DIAL or pick up the handset to dial the stored phone number.
WALL MOUNTING
The phone can be wall mounted if the user needs. When wall mounting, the user has to
change the position of the handset hook and fix the base unit on the wall, using the
steps below:
1. To change the position of the handset hook guide;
a. Remove the handset hook guide by sliding upwards.
b. Rotate 180 degrees and re-inset. The handset hook guide will be ready for wall
mounting (figure 1).
2. Fix the base of the unit on the wall;
a. Choose a location close to a telephone wall jack.
b. Draw mark 83mm vertically apart on the wall (you can use figure 2).
c. Check the location of the mark before drilling to make sure there is no wiring or
hidden pipes behind the wall.
d. Drill and then insert the screws in to the wall and leave the heads around 2 mm
out of the call, adjusting it if necessary (figure 3).
e. Fix the base unit on the wall.
