Kittrich Fire Command Aerosol Fire Suppressant Spray Q & A v0 Page 3
How long is Fire Command good for ?
The can carries a five (5) year “Use By” date which corresponds to five years
after it was initially packaged.
What should I do when the “Use By” date is near ?
Replace it with a new can of Fire Command to maintain that comfort level of
added fire protection safety! The „older‟ product can be safely sprayed in your
shower and then put with your aluminum recyclables.
What are the shipping requirements for Fire Command ?
The Fire Command aerosol Fire Suppressant Spray can ship the same as many of
today‟s aerosol products.
It is classified (under the old terminology) as an “ORM-D” Consumer Commodity
There have been recent changes to transportation terminology and as such the
new verbiage is : UN 1950 Limited Quantity (but this is the same effect as the
old ORM-D)
It is a Non-Flammable, Contents under Pressure, Aerosol Level 1 Class 2.2
It can ship both domestically and to Canada via Ground Transportation. Refer to
your local shipper (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx) for any additional carton markings or
ask your sales representative to provide you with this information.
Where can I store my Fire Command ?
The product should be stored in an area between 35ºF and 120ºF to assure that it
will operate in the event of a fire. Should the contents of Fire Command freeze for
any reason, the contents will not be harmed and once the unit has thawed it will
safely operate as designed.
Fire Command is made with an ALUMINUM can and thus unlike many other
STEEL canisters, Fire Command can be stored throughout your house without
the worry of corrosive rust stains.
Where are places I should keep Fire Command ?
Fire Command is extremely effective on small fires, and without intervention,
those small fires usually become large fires!
One of the most important places to keep one in your home is NEXT TO your
STOVE because the largest number of Residential Fires start IN THE KITCHEN!
Another important place is UNDER all of your bathroom sinks so it is close to
your personal bedrooms where fires can start from candles or cigarettes.
Glove boxes work great to hold Fire Command for your car, truck, or RV.
Have one ready to go with all of your outdoor (grill) cooking & camping gear.
